- inactive, on 05/16/2008, -9/+237A positive story about Clinton? The digg algorithm is failing.
- MotherGinSling, on 05/16/2008, -20/+160I'm glad to hear Clinton take the high road and stand up for Democrats. America is past due to censure or impeach Mr. Bush for his amoral abuse of power.
- bsdboy, on 05/16/2008, -18/+120She's starting to come around...
- SheilaNoya, on 05/16/2008, -9/+99Isn't Bush appeasing terrorists when he sells U.S. military jets to Saudi Arabia in exchange for keeping the oil flowing to our markets?
Appeasing doesn't mean "talking to someone". It means giving them something in return for what you want. - rinote, on 05/16/2008, -2/+61Anti Clinton is so last week. Anti-McCain is so hot right now.
- zigunerweisen, on 05/16/2008, -6/+45I don't like this. I need someone I can hate 100%.
- MrMetal, on 05/16/2008, -9/+43This is something I would not expect from Clinton. Perhaps she's finally seeing the light and doing something good for her political party. Or maybe she just wants to be Obama's running mate. In either case, I'm glad she did the right thing.
- FrostedMiniPete, on 05/16/2008, -12/+44She'd have done a much better job had she acted as civil as she is now throughout the primary season. Glad she didn't.
- Plasmatica, on 05/16/2008, -3/+35Nah...She's just running for VP now.
- ncc74656m, on 05/16/2008, -7/+31Hillary,
Thank you for finally acting the way you should have from the beginning. If you had taken this road from the beginning, you would already be the heir to the throne, and Obama would be your second. Instead, you yourself made comments nearly on par with the one you now denouce so strongly.
Please do not pretend that American Democrats are so blind to believe in your sudden change of heart, nor that we are so absent minded to forget what you have done in the past. But if you continue this behavior, we may be inclined to forgive.
Yours truly,
- A Former Hillary Voter - cadmiumpaint, on 05/16/2008, -3/+27Bush has no business criticizing ANY politician since his 8 years of presidency wrote the textbook on how to FAIL at being a leader.
- alpharaptor, on 05/16/2008, -0/+19she's still pandering, but now positively
- SheilaNoya, on 05/16/2008, -3/+18How is meeting our enemy face-to-face a sign of weakness? Ronald Reagan was called a hero for being brave enough to meet our so-called "enemies" in person and have discussions with them. Yet, because Bush is a coward, this is now considered something bad?
Do Republicans think Ronald Reagan was weak on foreign policy now? Gee - who knew! - inactive, on 05/16/2008, -17/+32BUSH'S NAZI PAST

- inactive, on 05/16/2008, -5/+18Aside from factual inaccuracy and the utter disregard of today's reality? Nothing. It's par for the course for the American ultra right wing. Stupid, loudmouthed and wrong are pretty much George Bush and the GOPs trade mark.
- inactive, on 05/16/2008, -3/+14Amen. About time.
- Flamancot, on 05/16/2008, -2/+11I'd like to thank her - she's still Hillary Clinton... still a baller - even if Obama balls harder
- RexxxMaster, on 05/16/2008, -3/+12Well when your coming down under sniper fire ...You get a different perspective on life.
- brstilson, on 05/16/2008, -3/+11As it should be. He's enjoyed quite enough time out of the limelight.
- buddyw, on 05/16/2008, -1/+9No, she just found out that not having a soul really hurts you in the primaries.
- Raptor007, on 05/16/2008, -0/+7He doesn't NEED to be defended, and I don't see why it's a problem that he is being defended. I think most people just laughed off Bush's statement anyway.
This article isn't really about Obama, it's about Hilf Dawg saying something nice for a change. - justbloggin, on 05/16/2008, -2/+9One need only review the long list of "Bushism's" to know he is not well versed on the english language. But he has gotten away with it for 7 + years. What he and the Republicans have been good at, is using fear, and fear mongering language, to get what they want. Hopefully reason will trump fear this time. Obama is the most sensible charasmatic leader the U.S. has seen in decades. I hope the American people have the courage to vote for him. Now if only Hillary would accept reality...
- Troy64, on 05/16/2008, -2/+8No it isn't Pro Obama out weights anti Clinton or any other story on Digg. So if pro Clinton story is a pro Obama story it it works within the algorithm.
You still wont see a stand alone positive Clinton story. - deathweaver108, on 05/16/2008, -4/+10First time I've dugg and pro Hillary story
- Rioracer916, on 05/16/2008, -0/+6Corrected: Bush has no business criticizing ANY politician since his 8 years of presidency wrote the textbook on how to FAIL at being a leader of the people AND defender of the constitution.
Corporations and other special interests have had a pretty good time these past 8 years, coincidentally. - ileftfark, on 05/16/2008, -0/+6Everything she does is just wrong. When will she shut up?
What's that? We like her this week? But I just ordered all these t-shirts... :( - fordoa, on 05/16/2008, -3/+9It's good to see the democrats are coming together and agreeing on something.
- mal1964, on 05/16/2008, -2/+8"I'm glad to hear Clinton take the high road and stand up for Democrats"
This surprises you?, What did you think she was going to do?, I'm surprised how many diggers think politics is personal - londubh, on 05/16/2008, -0/+6I think she's gunning for VP slot. Psst. Don't give it to her.
- thenotself, on 05/16/2008, -7/+13It's not hard for her to defend him on this one.. this isn't compassion, it's a freebie. It lets her say something positive without risking sending support to Obama.
- inactive, on 05/16/2008, -0/+6Definitely. As long as she doesn't attack Obama and stops inventing metrics I have no problem with her.
- dafragsta, on 05/16/2008, -0/+6I'm sorry, but she DID say she would vote for McCain. That was the single most polarizing thing she's ever said. That was crossing party lines with dangerous rhetoric, not that I have loyalty to any party.
- GrodyChamp, on 05/16/2008, -6/+12If anything Bush was talking about Carter. This whole spin being put on this is stupid. Take off the foil hats. Bush didn't mention Obama at all. No one likes Bush, but seriously people....
- zigunerweisen, on 05/16/2008, -0/+6But he gave up golf!
- dafragsta, on 05/16/2008, -0/+6If he compared ANYONE with the kind of people who would hand a country over to the Nazis for the sake of avoiding conflict, he is still fearmongering, and surely he meant SOMEONE who was running for president. Of the three running, which has sought a more intervention free and diplomatic angle to the fire and brimstone of the Bush administration. If you still defend Bush after gross incompetence, you are a ***** moron.
This is coming from someone who does not believe justness in the two party system because both parties get through ***** elections by catering to what the current party is supposed to represent, rather than the rational course of action to get us through whatever problems we are facing.
We are facing a budgeting crisis, a federal reserve crisis, and an oversight crisis. Bush has done nothing to address any of these. Instead, he sends out $600 checks which exacerbates things. Lower taxes? Yes, but lower the budget. Entitlements? No, but you better show the ***** up when a city is under water. A safety net? Yes, but not for lazy people who can work. Public healthcare? Yes, because we need it anyway, and we can get a better rate when some ground rules are in place to facilitate it. It will be cheaper.
The world would be a lot better if people stopped putting everyone they don't like in one pile so they can hate them with less effort. - foofightrs777, on 05/16/2008, -0/+6I just don't understand this whole statement by Bush as by his own rhetoric then Bush himself is an "appeaser".
Now, stay with me for a moment and let's assume the Bush/Limbaugh definition (although it's clearly untrue) that appeasement is simply talking to enemies and "terrorist regimes".
Now, where in the world was Mr. Bush today? Why, nowhere but with his good friends the Saudis who, might I add, rebuffed Bush on his DIPLOMATIC overtures to get them to pump more oil. Now, last time I checked most (about 15/19 if I remember correctly) of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudi nationals. So, going by Mr. Bushes own definition he is not only an "appeaser" to a terrorist regime, but also a complete hypocrite.
I hope this has elucidated how ridiculous the president's statements and his followers support has been. - NJank, on 05/16/2008, -1/+7really? one comment defending her party and now she's cool? no.
- rmxz, on 05/16/2008, -1/+6If the ticket's Obama/Clinton, Obama will indeed lose.
Many people dislike Clinton enough (and that's why Rush and the other conservative talk radio guys like her so much) that they'd not vote for Obama if she's on the ticket.
Obama needs to pick someone who inspires trust. - LastVisibleDog, on 05/16/2008, -4/+9Pure *****
Prescott Bush's German connection is through Fritz Thyssen - who started out supporting the Nazis because he thought they were better than the communists. Thyssen turned against the Nazi government in 1938 and fled the country in 1939 - Thyssen was later imprisioned by the Nazis because if his opposition. Prescott Bush's German contact left Germany fleeing the Nazi government two years before the US made business with Germany illegal.

Are Democrats born stupid or do they study? - kenedamick, on 05/16/2008, -4/+9First thing she's said in months that makes one lick of sense.
- cultureforall, on 05/16/2008, -2/+7George W Bush is not responsible for the actions his parents or grandparents made.
- phrenzy, on 05/16/2008, -1/+6Is that you Kevin James??
Umm, Austria? Czechoslovakia?
Don't let the facts get in the way of your talking points though. - inactive, on 05/16/2008, -0/+5Yeah, but 9/11.
*blank stare* - ParaSwarm, on 05/16/2008, -1/+6No, it's not fair to say that. We aren't stupid. Just because you don't straight-out add a name, doesn't mean we don't understand the connotation and shouldn't be pissed about it.
- inactive, on 05/16/2008, -0/+5Newsbusters huh? Well I suppose we can expect unbiased journalism from them (lol) Welcome to the spin zone kids.
- Mullinsmcd, on 05/16/2008, -0/+5Shes running a positive campaign now hoping for a big scandal to hit Obama before the convention. This is one of her smartest moves within the recent months.... but her smartest move for the party would be to just drop out and stand behind Obama 100%.
- inactive, on 05/16/2008, -0/+5I feel sorry for the guy who needs to be defended by George W. Bush.
