- ZandorMonkeyBoy, on 05/28/2008, -9/+126I think we're into the triple digits on Hillary lies during this campaign. Do we really need another liar in the Oval Office?
- uptown, on 05/28/2008, -8/+121...or maybe you both can beat McCain. It's just that Obama ran a better campaign, and positioned himself to be the nominee. Ready on day one? Seems like that description suits Obama more than Hillary.
- inactive, on 05/28/2008, -5/+106Every pole, except her husband's.
- BabushkaBlue, on 05/28/2008, -5/+72I think she's gone a little bit nuts.
- inactive, on 05/28/2008, -5/+70Even in her 2012 stealth campaign, Hillary is still trailing in the polls behind fellow Republican Jeb Bush.
- inactive, on 05/28/2008, -6/+62If McCain made these types of claims he would be branded a senile old man. If Obama did, he would be branded too inexperienced to understand politics. Hillary, please go away.
- aldenhg, on 05/28/2008, -4/+51At this point Clinton = Huckabee. There's no way she can win and she's just wasting everyone's time.
- dirrtydirrty, on 05/28/2008, -3/+50I still have not received an answer from Clinton supporters on why Michigan and Florida should count now when the Clinton Campaign signed the agreement that those two states shouldn't count. Please. I'm not trying to start a fight. Besides the obvious "it would help Clinton" answer, I just want to hear a "Oh that makes sense" answer. It's plain and simple. You agreed to something so give me ONE GOOD REASON why the agreement shouldn't stick now?
- Terr01, on 05/28/2008, -5/+47You DO know that we're talking about two DIFFERENT people who just happen to have the same last name Clinton, right?
- SheilaNoya, on 05/28/2008, -6/+48Hillary is suffering from the same kind of delusion that Bush suffers from. She's surrounded herself with "YES" men and people who keep telling her what she wants to hear. Like Bush, she's starting to believe her own lies and doesn't see the world outside of her own protective bubble of loyalists and people who are afraid to tell her the truth.
We've already had to endure 8 years of a president who lives in his own fantasy land. Let's not repeat that mistake. - 471776, on 05/28/2008, -7/+41This whole, "***** you, the truth is whatever I say it is" attitude is really getting old. At this point, I would give money just to see someone (perhaps Olbermann) properly confront on this and countless other things on live TV.
This elitist, duplicitous, deceitful, deluded propagandist liar absolutely should not be allowed in the White House, or in any stage of the line of Presidential succession. Or indeed, any government position. She should be barred from holding a job with the Federal Government.
And where are the superdelegates when you need them? If we have to have them, they should at least do what they're supposed to do. I thought the idea was to end the election early when it's clear-cut like this? Nobody with any grounding in reality thinks she can win it now. They aren't going to be 'stealing the election'.
And then there's the whole MI/FL thing. Which is admittedly slightly more complicated, but ultimately their delegates cannot be seated. To do so would completely undermine the party leadership, alienate people who didn't vote because they were told it wouldn't count, and unfairly give more delegates to Clinton because she was too incompetent (or conniving) to remove her name from the MI ballot.
The Democratic leadership need to get their act together, otherwise they just undermine Obama (and he will be the candidate) in the General come November. - rocketman42, on 05/28/2008, -0/+31I pretty much agree, but remember, Huckabee didn't have a US Senate seat to go back to. He also was respectful of McCain and his party. Huckabee stayed in because he really didn't have anything else to do and it was a good way to get his message out and get some publicity for himself. Clinton is arguably damaging the front-runner and her party, all while pretty much ignoring the people who actually have elected her to office (New Yorkers). I'm still hopeful soon after June 3 she will concede and go back to doing her job in the senate, but I'm not holding my breath.
- mentallyinhell, on 05/28/2008, -4/+35Whatever she's taking, I need some.
- SheilaNoya, on 05/28/2008, -4/+33Like Terr01 pointed out - That was a different Clinton.
Bill Clinton's approval rating during the time the Republicans were impeaching him was at 73%. Most people loved Bill Clinton (back then).
http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/stories/1998/12/20/ ... - shadow54682, on 05/28/2008, -4/+33Somehow it just makes sense for Clinton to have a lady in the background holding a sign upside down.
- apec766, on 05/28/2008, -1/+29Hi-yo!
- msjentay, on 05/28/2008, -5/+30Everyday I wake up like a kid on Christmas morning hoping to get the news that Hillary has gone away. There really is no Santa.
- dheaddy, on 05/28/2008, -3/+27Just quit already before you embarrass yourself further
- mattus, on 05/28/2008, -3/+20Please cease your ignorant, racist ravings and stand well away from the keyboard.
- Machismo, on 05/28/2008, -3/+19I am most disturbed by the statement at the end.
"Most recently Clinton compared the plight of Florida and Michigan voters to the struggles of the early suffragists and likened the primaries of those states to the fraudulent election that took place in Zimbabwe."
Thanks Hillary. The Democratic party really appreciates you encouraging two VERY important swing states to become disenfranchised with the Democratic party due to their state congress's decision against the will and policy of the party. I am so glad we all get to be dragged down by her. - inactive, on 05/28/2008, -6/+22She also claims to be a human female, but Xuul attempted that feat years ago and look at what happened to her!
OBAMA for Keymaster! - Chrino, on 05/28/2008, -2/+17I'm sure she doesn't lead in the Digg poll.
- inactive, on 05/28/2008, -0/+14agreed that she is wasting time, but her goal, I believe, is to try and shore up all the last minute donations to offset the incredible amount of money she has poured into her campaign. She only gets to write off 150k (or is it 250k?)
notice that in her speeches she is now specifically asking people to go donate money to her campaign. She gives her website and asks people specifically to donate money. She doesnt ask them to get organized, spread the word or anything else that could be of use. She asks them for money. A very, very shameless action in order to try and recoup her money from people who still believe in her when she knows she is only trying to cover her own losses.
So for her, each second she is in getting donations is valued time to get her money back, otherwise she is out almost all of it. She is looting the people that kept her going. - staxofmax, on 05/28/2008, -0/+13She also has the right to lie through her teeth if she wants to, and likewise we have the right to call her on her *****.
- inactive, on 05/28/2008, -4/+15I would like to see examples to backup your claim. Right now. I want something documented that you can prove that to me. I have seen plenty of tapes and newspapers showing clear lies from the other two candidates, but I want YOU to put your money where your mouth is.
thx - Lazydriver, on 05/28/2008, -2/+13Yeah you do. This is Digg, not the Republican National Congress. Prove it so we can side with you, or grow the ***** up.
- TedLW30101, on 05/28/2008, -0/+10But what you are indicating is that you don't really have to follow the rules as agreed upon beforehand.
What I hear you saying is that: Despite my leaders creating and agreeing to rules, I shouldn't have to follow that or them. In fact, we will change the rules when it suits us.
I don't agree with the 'possibility of Disenfranchisement' excuse.
The leaders decided on a punishment and actually held to it this long. The fact of the matter is, the Democrat leaders implemented a method to 'disenfranchise' their parties voters with the super-delegate and proportional system. It doesn't matter if 90% of the population votes for one person. All the superdelegates can vote the other way. Talk about 'disenfranchisement'
But what else should we expect from the party that excuses most 'rule-bending' activities whether it be illegal immigration or not implementing death penalties for convicted murderers. - cambob76, on 05/28/2008, -1/+11Yes. From day one Hillary has been reactionary, defensive, and imitative. She's playing this thing day by day, changing anything in order to gain that ever-elusive advantage. Hillary's done though, no matter how much she says otherwise. It's pretty pathetic to watch her lay on the B.S. so thick right at the time she should be conceding. I hope when the time comes, she just crawls under a rock instead of openly supporting Obama. Watching Hillary cheer on Obama would be final insult. I'd puke.
- pintomp3, on 05/28/2008, -0/+10huckabee dropped out, remained cordial, and didn't go for nasty attacks on mccain. clinton's attacks are more like romney, though even he knew when his time was up.
- twiztidsinz, on 05/28/2008, -1/+10There's only one reason I could think of that even makes sense:
To prevent the possibility of disenfranchisement of Democrat Voters in those states.
I am an Obama supporter and I do feel that they should be seated for that reason, however, -IF- they are to be seated they need to re-vote. - pintomp3, on 05/28/2008, -2/+11who needs proof when you have talking points?
- fezzasus, on 05/28/2008, -4/+13The woman holding the sign the wrong way sums up every clinton supporter
- RebeL5K, on 05/28/2008, -0/+8If there was a re-vote I suppose I would be in favor of it, because in regards to your disenfranchisement reasoning, I am a Florida voter who went to work instead of taking an unpaid day off to symbolically vote in an election all candidates said would not count, and I would be absolutely LIVID if I end up getting screwed for, like Obama, playing by the rules.
- PabloMac, on 05/28/2008, -0/+8"Liar" is such a negative term. It was a mismatch of words and actions.
- Lazydriver, on 05/28/2008, -3/+11Well, duh (regarding the claims being lies). How ***** stupid are you?
- ftblstr2319, on 05/28/2008, -4/+11Let me be the first to give you a resounding F*U*CK YOU.
You just had say it is your Democratic right to vote.
So why the hell would you not count the caucuses?
Are their votes somehow worth nothing since Hillary would not like them to be.
Or maybe it's the fact that Once people have the time to talk about the issues and hear about a candidate. They may be swayed to vote for them.
If my Dad didn't have a Penis he would be my mom. - cromulent742, on 05/28/2008, -0/+7nicely done sir
- bullcutter, on 05/28/2008, -0/+7if your plan for victory is to wait around for a scandal to strike your opponent, you haven't really got a plan at all, have you?
- ftblstr2319, on 05/28/2008, -3/+10Yeah no proof? Keep looking guy.
- Disregard, on 05/28/2008, -0/+7The ill will she's building now, she'd trail the polls on a Dick Cheney/Lori Drew ticket.
- qpingu, on 05/28/2008, -4/+11Watch the video and laugh at the lady on the left who holds up the Hillary sign upside down.
- inactive, on 05/28/2008, -2/+9There's nothing in the constitution regarding the voting procedures of private parties (like the Democratic party)
Go back to HillaryIs44 or wherever you came from... - calipan, on 05/28/2008, -1/+8The punishment was more severe than the bylaws recommend. The republican party seated half the delegates. They still carried out the vote but they only count for 50%. The voters still get their voice and they pick the candidate they prefer, but there is a financial penalty in that the campaigns do not spend as much money in their states. That is the punishment.
The problem stems that after the committee ruled that the votes will not count, asked the candidates to honor the rules regardless if the state holds a primary. Clinton and Obama agreed, with Obama pulling his name from Michigan. Clinton did not. With the votes not expected to count most voters did not turn out. The Michigan and Florida numbers do not accurately represent the majority of the voters of those two states.
What I recommend is that the numbers be thrown out and a revote be cast with neither candidate allowed to campaign in the state. They seat all the delegates from FL and MI but only give them each half a vote. You get the full voter representation but half delegate representation. The states are adequately punished. - Jebral, on 05/28/2008, -1/+8I don't know, but I'm sure she doesn't inhale it.
- tkcom, on 05/28/2008, -4/+10If she lies today, just imagine how many more times she'll do it if she becomes president.
- StarlessKnight, on 05/28/2008, -3/+9@jentrax: Obama's a secret muslim spy. We don't need proof. We just *know.* /s
- opensourcer, on 05/28/2008, -0/+6This primary taught us a lot about Hillary already. She's always drawing lines on the ground and tell people not to cross and when no one's watching, she crosses it. During this primary, all her inconsistencies, hypocrisies closet skeletons are coming out to haunt her. Seriously, are we waiting for Nixon? Or Anonymous need more time or materials to work on Primary Color part 2?
- bullcutter, on 05/28/2008, -1/+7i was going to deconstruct your rant as it contains numerous inaccuracies, but its so bizarre that i don't really understand what your ultimate point is.
- Cuchanu, on 05/28/2008, -0/+5I figured it out. The only states a democrate needs to win in the election is West Virginia and Kentucky! According to her own words she get's the hardworking white vote, and there is plenty of them in those two states, so she's not lying. Lazy white people and hard working non-whites have no say. The other polls don't count because they disagree with her so they are obviously flawed.
- 471776, on 05/28/2008, -1/+6She could drop out and be in the same place. If something like that happened (which I doubt), the DNC can ask her to step up again. Something tells me that she'd do it. It isn't like there wont be a democratic candidate.
