- SheilaNoya, on 05/23/2008, -10/+189What a bunch of *****. If Clinton would have honored her agreement to take her name off the ballot like all of the other candidates did, then she wouldn't have any votes either. 40% of the people who voted for a Democratic president in the Michigan primary voted against Hillary. How dare she claim that none of these people supported Obama.
The fact that Hillary stabbed the other candidates in the back (and lied) doesn't give her the right to claim ALL of the votes and/or delegates. The more she plays this fraudulent game, the more hatred and division she stirs up within the party. The DNC needs to stand up and publicly humiliate her by pointing out that she LIED and will be penalized for it. - MadKennyP, on 05/23/2008, -5/+132Thanks, Sheila.
Here's the relevant section of the pledge which Hillary violated:
THEREFORE, I (Hillary Clinton), Democratic Candidate for President, in honor and in accordance with DNC rules, pledge to actively campaign in the pre-approved early states Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire and South Carolina. I pledge I shall not campaign or participate in any election contest occurring in any state not already authorized by the DNC to take place in the DNC approved pre-window (any date prior to February 5, 2008).
http://msnbcmedia.msn.com/i/msnbc/sections/news/07 ... - JOHND777, on 05/23/2008, -6/+74These Clinton's have no shame!!!! Please Super delegates remember your role is to protect the integrity of the party and protect it from psychotic candidates!!! Well you have both issues front and center! If you do not step in now, with ALL super and pledged delegates endorsing and voting Obama unanimously the democratic party is over and we have 8 more years of McBush, if he has not already won because of this *****!! She has already ruined it for her own self interest! Whether you voted for Hillary or Obama, it is time for ALL of us as men and women to speak out now! Coast to coast, North to South! In my opinion, New York should impeach her from the Senate!! Sad and pathetic!!!!!
- EnviroChem, on 05/22/2009, -7/+62Obama defeating Clinton is not enough. NY voters need to kick her out of the Senate. She is destructive to the Democratic party and cares about no one but herself.
- goodnrg, on 05/23/2008, -7/+56The Clinton campaign not only said NO delegates for Obama, they also said that these uncommitted delegates are up for grabs:

Unbelievable! - preneel, on 05/23/2008, -9/+58This people are the biggest liars I have ever met. I am telling you that if they somehow take this away from Obama, I will become an independent. I don't know how they look in the mirror at themselves. These are the least ethical people I have ever seen and I am ashamed to admit I voted for Bill twice.
- inactive, on 05/23/2008, -2/+49my first thought too.
He deserves none because he was honest and held his word. She deserves all because she is a lying deceitful sack of *****?
eat ***** and die, hillary. You have fallen so so so far. - azpat, on 05/23/2008, -1/+45That should be the first comment to every article that deals with this subject.

S-erving - nascentia, on 05/23/2008, -7/+382007 - Everyone knows Obama is running, but many don't give him more than a look.
- Everyone presumes Hillary to be the Dem. nominee
- Hillary fully supports stripping Michigan and Florida of their delegates.
2008 - Obama surges past Hillary to be the presumptive front runner.
- The 'Clinton' name hurts, rather than helps, Hillary, and Obama zooms past her.
- Hillary decries the "disenfranchising" of Florida and Michigan voters; demands their votes
count, ignores the fact that she agreed to the rules.
2009 - Obama takes his place as President of the United States.
- Hillary still bitches, claims sexism, demands recount of delegates. - winampman2, on 05/23/2008, -5/+32Have you guys seen what some of Hillary's supporters say? Like on forums and blogs? They disappoint me more than she does sometimes. They believe everything she says and even start making up some lies themselves. Hillary created this anti-Obama army which is killing the Democratic party. She needs to break it up before it goes out of control, before its too late.
- joeomar, on 05/23/2008, -6/+31Yes friends, when you are of a certain class/caste, part of the whose who, who you know and who you blow, you can straddle the fence, you can waffle, you can lie, but not in my book. I am voting for Barack Obama, because of everything about him, his American success story, his mom being a single white woman and the content of his character...peace
- hawkspur, on 05/23/2008, -4/+27This woman is trying to steal the election from the American people. She cares nothing about the collective will and goes back on her word at every opportunity. What person in their right mind can support her continuously?
- tanside, on 05/23/2008, -2/+24I totally agree with the both of you. If the part of America that voted against a "black" man would just listen to him speak once they would clearly see they are supporting the wrong person, but racists are idiots. I have never been a huge Hillary fan, but this election really has tipped the scales of her in my head towards the side of untrustworthy, liar works too. Meanwhile one of the first major influential persons of the 21st century, Barack Obama, steps towards the forefront to help lead this country, and the world to the next economic boon. Or we could be coming into the end of days! Ooooh how exciting either way.
- mozert, on 05/23/2008, -3/+22Well I will make it clear again: Obama should say NO VP to this wicked person. BE STRONG, SAY NO. One key bone of your campaign was to say the truth even when it isn't popular, to have the same message when we are up and when we are down. You know something better awaits us if you have the COURAGE to reach for it, and fight for it, and believe in it. You said change is coming to America and You said you are tired of the political game in Washington D.C., now prove it, THIS IS A TEST.
- suntzusputnik, on 05/23/2008, -1/+19if the super delegates overturn the popular delegate count, i have a feeling that people will riot.
- and303, on 05/23/2008, -1/+17Bad speller.
- pablo0713, on 05/23/2008, -8/+21No more soup for Mrs. Clinton
- AydenV2, on 05/23/2008, -4/+17Just as we have all thought. It's all about the politics. It is not about the people's right, their voice (or lack thereof). She wants nothing but to win and she is going to stoop to unbelievable lows to succeed. I wish those who are voting for Clinton would look at some of the things she does, and says. I guarantee a good amount of them would change their minds.
- YodaJones, on 05/23/2008, -3/+14Somebody didn't get enough attention when they were a little girl. Or maybe she didn't get that pony she always wanted.
- krazikamikaze, on 05/23/2008, -1/+11You forgot the part where Hillary claims she wants to seat the FL/MI delegates to avoid "disenfranchising" voters, and then in a moment of epic hypocrisy does just that by ignoring all the people in Michigan who wanted to vote for Obama.
- UrinalPooper, on 05/23/2008, -3/+12Do we really want another president who believes treaties and contracts shouldn't be honored?
- Reaper2806, on 05/23/2008, -2/+11A WoW nerd weighing in with an opinion here: Isn't that like greed rolling at the last second after you all agreed to pass on the loot and DE it?
- ADVIZR, on 05/23/2008, -3/+11Hillary Clinton's Guide to Winning the Nomination
1. Push for the absolute extreme and keep upsetting all of Obama's supporters (who wouldn't have their votes counted under her plan)
2. Hope that such extremism will wear down the opponent into compromising into still seating the states as is, but counting the uncommitted, which would still yield completely fake results
3. Nearly tie in delegates but have a fraudulent "popular vote"
4. Spread rumors and a new, false scandal about Obama
5. Stir up anger among her core base and all unintelligent people, which will permeate the media with hatred
6. Hope for Super delegates to shift back to her, and promising them the world
7. Push it to the bitter end of the convention, giving the elite "justifiable cause" to pick her, now that what's on paper shows that she has a "popular vote" (even though it's fraudulent, no one remembers the past, so who cares, right? the only thing that matters is the present in people's minds... right, right!?)
8. The Super D elites just barely reach a conclusion, barely picking her to be the nominee, causing an absolute uproar
9. Completely destroy half of democratic voters' opinions of her, by having unfairly broken agreements and used neocon tactics to take the spot
10. Attempt to get Obama to be her VP to quell the unfairness/evil of her actions
11. Obama gracefully exits, bringing his integrity with him
12. Election: McCain wins.
13. Become the most hated and despicable "democrat" in the world.
14. Oops.
15. Wake up from this bad dream. Obama 2008. - boejangles, on 05/23/2008, -1/+9Best case scenario:
they split the delegates from both states... she still loses. - Stormwern, on 05/23/2008, -1/+8A problem with the us election system is that in the nominating process you're only "breaking the DNC rules", not rigging the election or advocating subversion of democracy. Play by the rules or you're a facist, law or not.
- Gerz1219, on 05/23/2008, -0/+7But we have exit polls which can be used to determine the composition of the uncommitted vote.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michigan_Democratic_p ...
Obama would have received 35% of the vote if he'd been on the ballot, and Edwards would've received 12%
Note that Edwards has endorsed Obama and most of Edwards' delegates have indicated they will vote for Obama.
The only reasonable compromise here is to give Hillary 55% of the delegates, and Obama 45%.
Or, you can split the uncommitted votes between Edwards and Obama. It doesn't matter, because Edwards delegates are Obama delegates.
Oh, and Hillary agreed to remove her name from the ballot too, until she reneged.
This is one of the few cases in politics in which one person is objectively and unquestionably wrong. - bfisch1983, on 05/23/2008, -0/+7Exactly. I know a girl like that, who tried to throw out a BS statistic that America is one of the few countries left in the world that hasn't had a woman president! She would make this stuff up all the time. Finally after a few months of trying to wear on her, she said that Obama is probably the better candidate, but if that were true he would have one by now, so she still voted for Hillary. How can people think that follows some sane flow of logic.
- Stormwern, on 05/23/2008, -0/+7Kind of, if the ninja also refuses to leave the instance, and report the rest of the group for advertising child pornography.
- HappyProgrammer, on 05/23/2008, -4/+11
> Obama shouldn't get any delegates from MI because he choose to take his name off the ballot.
Yeah Obama should be punished for following the rules that they all agreed to. And Hillary should be rewarded for trying to change the rules *after* the state has voted.
I am sure this makes perfect sense to you. - krazikamikaze, on 05/23/2008, -3/+10If there are any Hillary supporters out there on digg can you please explain to me either (a) why you think this isn't completely absurd and disgustingly self-serving, or (b) how you can support a candidate who acts this way?
- plinstrot, on 05/23/2008, -0/+7CORRECTION:
"So, to get this straight, the Clinton campaign wants to count every vote as "Clinton", whether or not that vote is for Clinton! - fxu1989, on 05/23/2008, -2/+9Feminists.
Women that want to see their gender rule one of the most powerful countries in the world. They don't care about the issues; only that she's a female (or so we think she's a female)
There are racists, too .... but feminists the most, I believe. - doctor49152, on 05/23/2008, -2/+8Sorry Clintons!! Democracy is NOT a salad bar! You can't pick and choose who gets to vote like that.
But in the end you're still going to get the ***** pickle that you deserve! - Naieve, on 05/23/2008, -1/+7I'm a libertarian for Obama Fate.
I would like to see Ron Paul take office, but that would be pointless.
You see the Democrats AND Republicans would stop Paul from doing anything.
I am voting for Obama because under the current political climate, I see his record of legislative reform in Illinois and the Transparency Act in the Senate as the most major issue on my agenda.
ELECTION LAW REFORM.
That is what I want.
Obama might, MIGHT, be able to start us down that road.
McCain and Hillary are Washington politicians to the core.
I have respect for McCain, and his history, but they are both so corrupt they no longer can tell the difference.
So as a Libertarian with no real party to vote for, the Republicans are merely a different shade of the Democratic Party nowadays, I am hoping Obama might be able to work within the political framework with his immense popularity and start fixing Washington.
If that doesn't work, I guess we will have to wait until DC destroys our country and we all have no choice but to use our State Governments to amend the Constitution bypassing the corrupt system in place, unfortunately I have yet to figure out how to get past the corrupt State system first, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
GO TO HELL YOU BLOODSUCKING POLITICIANS. WE ELECTED YOU TO LOOK AFTER OUR COUNTRY NOT YOUR POCKETBOOKS. - parafish13, on 05/23/2008, -2/+8As a Michigan voter, I voted for Ron Paul 'cause I couldn't vote for Obama. I'm really sick of her trying to "defend and honor me" by using me for such a silly gain. Just lose already!
- nicc, on 05/23/2008, -0/+5sigh...no, you can NOT blame the Republican legislatures in FL and MI as the Dems still voted yes to move the primaries forward. if the Dems had voted no, and the bill still passed, then the states would NOT have been punished.
please learn the FACTS before you open your freakin mouth! - pedo, on 05/23/2008, -2/+7they want the uncommitted delegates to stay uncommitted. that means they want to go to the convention, plain and simple, because that is the ONLY way they actually have a chance of catching up to obama.
by the way, Ickes is one of the people that voted to take away ALL of Florida's delegates in 07. that was when he thought hillary was a shoo-in. - pintomp3, on 05/23/2008, -1/+6what's mine is mine, what's yours is mine.
- wacomwacoff, on 05/23/2008, -1/+6I think that's true, but it's not a bad thing. For the past eight years we've had incredibly dull Democratic candidates; now that we have a smart, charismatic leader in Obama, a lot of people want to be involved, because he inspires them. That doesn't make them "sheep".
I don't believe everything I hear, but I've read his book, and I believe in Obama as a leader. If that makes you sick, then you need to open your eyes. - mrgreen4242, on 05/23/2008, -1/+6You can support REFORM in many shapes. You can believe that ANYTHING is better than the way it is now.
- Naieve, on 05/23/2008, -1/+6It's directly from a high ranking member of Hillary's camp.
You think he is saying this without her approval?
It's simple, she needs to do this to win. - smacksaw, on 05/23/2008, -4/+8Fine. Have every candidate say that they want Obama to have it. That way by process of elimination, logically all uncommitted would belong to Obama.
Man, I do not want this woman and her cronies anywhere near my gov't...again. - mcfriendly, on 05/23/2008, -1/+5I wonder how she played with others as a child? Not well, I suspect.
- internetcoward, on 05/23/2008, -2/+6i still dont see why people want her in the white house so badly, lying at almost every primary (nafta, most popular votes, ect) and now this. How can they not see that she is two-faced and just wants the power? Honestly, I want a Clinton supporter to give it to me straight. Reply to this.
- Naieve, on 05/23/2008, -0/+4Welcome to the Democratic Party.
GOBAMA!!! - MacEnvy, on 05/23/2008, -0/+4Not to mention 4-6 of the caucus states that she doesn't count in her popular vote total. Talk about disenfranchisement ... she's willing to ignore the votes of 4 states but throws a fit if 2 illegitimate ones don't get counted, after she agreed to the rules beforehand.
It's remarkably disingenuous. Pathologically so. - cisox, on 05/23/2008, -0/+4The Pony Bites!
- mozert, on 05/23/2008, -0/+4Looking forward to the next Information Revolution. Something so deeep it will blow up your mind.
- masterspeaks, on 05/23/2008, -1/+5Just a little bit over the top there. A more appropriate response would be writing to some of the undecided super delegates and reminding them that the next time they are up for election, their actions in these primaries will be reviewed. Hilary knows that she isn't going to win the nomination so she is putting on this show of stubbornness to console of all of her supporters.
