- theNazz, on 07/25/2008, -40/+554Little guys go to jail for trying to enforce the law while the big fish get large paychecks for giving speeches... like Mel Brooks said, 'it's good to be King'.
- jess21496, on 07/26/2008, -30/+338If you have cash, you are above the law. Just ask OJ.
The Bushies have cash and have proven this theory over the last 7years.
It's disgusting what this country has turned into. - TeKFX, on 07/26/2008, -32/+311Man, ***** for doing the right thing. Guess the "right thing" just isn't the right thing to do anymore.
- Habit4ming, on 07/26/2008, -42/+263This is absolutely disgusting...I hope those arrested sue....
- StripeyMagee, on 07/26/2008, -30/+208They should have tasered his ass
- Mononuclear, on 07/26/2008, -10/+125I thought you could only make a citizens arrest if you view the person in the act of a crime. I don't think it allows you to hunt someone down long after the fact and try to arrest them.
- Echota, on 01/05/2009, -26/+134It would have been 5 arrested if I could have been there to help them!

- tbom, on 07/26/2008, -9/+85From the article: "All four were cited for trespassing and released."
--> how do you get "go to jail" out of that? - MacintoshSauce, on 07/26/2008, -16/+87I consider these people to be real patriots.
- alexlavr, on 07/26/2008, -18/+83The point was to bring attention to Rove's crimes.
- boydrew, on 07/26/2008, -9/+61Citizen's arrest is, by definition in the United States, characterized by the acting party witnessing a felony being committed (while it is happening) and detaining the person until authorities arrive.
- mnpilot, on 07/26/2008, -15/+61Hey Iowa, Want to make a bigger difference. Don't ***** vote for McCain. If that ***** state goes for McCain in November all of this ***** is worthless.......
Stand up and be heard.
"I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical."
Thomas Jefferson - synthaxx, on 07/26/2008, -5/+42Your ideas intrigue me, and i would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -38/+74Expecting justice from the current system is a complete and utter joke. A silenced rifle is required for metering justice these days. It's a beautiful thing to squeeze a trigger and hear nothing other than the ping of the target being hit.
Do you people truly realize how bad things have gotten? Apparently not. When you're screaming and crying while being herded on a FEMA train, don't expect sympathy or assistance from those who have prepared.
There is still time to wake up and restore the Republic...very little time............ - inactive, on 07/26/2008, -9/+42 count me in
i have 1 month Halo sniper training behind me and 2 weeks Half Life crowbar wacking - semolina, on 07/26/2008, -16/+48You have to be a complete idiot to not see that, for the most part, both the Democrats and Republicans are corrupt.
- lazerus9, on 07/26/2008, -16/+48Well!...Now you know what doesn't work, a different strategy should be considered.
- embarkadero, on 07/26/2008, -16/+47follow this story!!!
- jnadke, on 07/27/2008, -2/+31Clinton ***** an intern.
Rove ***** the country. - randall82, on 07/26/2008, -18/+47Clinton was covered all over the media and our government actually tried to impeach him, all over a blow job. OJ killed two people, and Bush is responsible for war crimes, constitutional violations, and the death of countless people for an unjust war based on bad intelligence and the desire of war profiteering. ***** you sir for comparing them.
- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -17/+45Ignoring a Congressional subpoena = crime
- armoreddillo, on 07/26/2008, -18/+44whether these people were within their 'legal' rights to do what they did, i don't know.
but this IS the kind of action that needs to be taken by all Americans. - inactive, on 07/27/2008, -5/+31Well considering he has yet to acknowledge the subpoena, I guess he is STILL committing his crime.
- thegrantman, on 07/26/2008, -12/+36It's hard to deny there's a problem when a minister attempts to arrest one of the most powerful men in the country and librarians are fighting for our privacy. This isn't a liberal or conservative issue.
- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -18/+40Thomas would have started with the Democrats.
- WriterinSac, on 07/26/2008, -16/+38Bravo to them! I say let's keep it up. Let's try to arrest him everywhere he goes. The man committed treason (at the very least) and it's high time the citizens take back our country. Show Congress and our judicial system that at least we have a spine. And we demand justice. Can anyone post his calendar so we can start this movement?
- brad3378, on 07/27/2008, -5/+27He would have mowed down both sides of the isle like it was Columbine.
- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -35/+57They should have tasered Roves ass to death or at least until comatose.
- Kanten, on 07/26/2008, -16/+38For upholding the law against someone who broke it?
- Naieve, on 07/26/2008, -12/+33Clinton lied under oath and sold pardons.
- rajkalex, on 07/27/2008, -2/+22They didn't go to jail. They were given citations, like you would get a speeding ticket, and released. Technically, this is an arrest but they are only temporarily in custody and no trip to the jail is required. Toadleg is apparently confusing the definition of jail with the definition of custody.
- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -16/+35When all else fails, vote from the rooftops.
- makenshin, on 07/26/2008, -17/+34I commend them for doing the right thing. Though even if you caught him, the police and government wouldn't do a thing. Things are so bad that the true criminals cannot be punished (and I will stand by that until proven wrong) and innocent people just living their lives are jailed.
- LunaticFringe, on 07/26/2008, -23/+39Clarification of Republican party interests: If you drink Budweiser and think abortion is murder while you cling to an American flag with your asscheeks to ward off the gays, you're not a Republican. If you make more than $250,000 a year and hold a position on a board of some sort (message boards, emory boards, and cardboard doesn't count), you're a Republican. If you don't meet these criteria, the party really isn't offering you a damn thing. The GOP believes in the 'trickle-down effect' of the economy, where they get all your money and you get the sweet little saliva-laden crumbs that fall from the corners of their overstuffed faces when they spend it.
Obama is the only one to really mention reversing it by raising taxes on that $250,000+/yr demographic. - eyepatch100, on 07/26/2008, -17/+33No offense, but that was the scariest thing I've heard all day.
Please don't shoot me. - inactive, on 07/26/2008, -24/+40LOL @ you idiots who claim to want "justice", yet instead of advocating any kind of judicial process, just insist that those who you believe are guilty should be executed.
Hypocrites. - podobuzz, on 07/27/2008, -5/+21You are doubtless an efficient and remorseless killing machine.
- Sirmittenz, on 07/26/2008, -11/+26It was probably more of an act of protest than an actual attempt at a citizens arrest.
- inactive, on 07/26/2008, -12/+27The problem isn't that they couldn't get him arrested - in and of itself. The problem is we are now a country of citizens that can't do a damn thing about it's government.
I'd like to know who thinks we are a true democracy as laid out by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
This planet is retarded. - spookyttws, on 07/26/2008, -16/+29Interesting Article, very unsurprising result tough, sadly. Must be nice to be BFF with Bush, because no one (higher up) is willing to enforce the laws (at least not on themselves), they are allowed to do whatever they want. The impeachment articles are finally trying to become something, but it's really too little too late. The election will be over before anything happens to these people, and although it will be awesome to hold them accountable it won't stop Bush from doing whatever he wants until then.
I recently read an article stating that the worst thing that could happen to a GOP administration like this one is to have a democrat elected after him. Allowing the other side to have access to everything they currently are doing is suicide. It's like electing Bush Sr. after Regan, by the time Clinton got into office it was to late, and enough was covered up to hold the Regan administration accountable for anything. - KazamaSmokers, on 07/26/2008, -16/+29Blowing off a subpoena IS a crime, Clarence Darrow.
- knarg, on 07/27/2008, -1/+14I think he was trying to be momentous and poetic, not technically accurate.
- Ramble, on 07/27/2008, -5/+17A citizens arrest is perfectly legal. There isn't anything illegal these men have done.
- ninjajoe5, on 07/26/2008, -8/+20I think the "trickle-down effect" was Ross Perot's hill to die on.
Many people are Republican because they are tired of seeing liberal politicians make "generous" laws, agreements etc... only to leave office 4 years later and have their successor totally screwed by the debt they created. California has towns filing for bankruptcy because mayors caved to municipality unions and granted economically unfeasible pensions to town workers.
Bush doesn't have it right, and Iraq is messed up. But saying you have to make $250k to be a Republican isn't right either. - twiztidsinz, on 07/26/2008, -9/+21I think we all saw him not show before congress when he was subpoenaed... Last I checked that WAS a felony.
- dpdawson, on 07/27/2008, -1/+13Actually, a private citizen is privileged to make a felony arrest if the felony was in fact committed and the citizen reasonably believes that the person he arrests committed it. There is no requirement that the felony be committed in the arresting party's presence.
You are thinking of a misdemeanor arrest, for which the misdemeanor must be a breach of peace and committed in the arresting private citizen's presence. - renegadeafk, on 07/27/2008, -2/+14You can't taser pure evil, it will just make him more powerful.
- STLMikey, on 07/27/2008, -2/+14And every other institution of power since the beginning of time.
Don't make this a 21st century thing. -
