- LenzM, on 10/12/2007, -8/+78Cindy is guilty of sedition because she criticizes the President and vocalizes her disapproval of the war in Iraq?
This is absurd, the greatest thing about America is our ability to express our opinions and criticize those in power that we don't agree with. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -27/+86Cindy Sheehan is a true patriot!
- blablaman, on 10/12/2007, -10/+59Matthewmok is a dumbass. A fool and guilty of ignorance.
- alecks, on 10/12/2007, -8/+55I must have missed the part where she got her heiny chewed. In my opinion, she made very valid points and was able to answer all questions with decent, non-bs answers.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+45"Dissent is the highest form of patriotism." - Thomas Jefferson
- daldredge, on 10/12/2007, -10/+52Was Rush a traitor and/or commie when he didn't support military action by Clinton?
- skilly, on 10/12/2007, -12/+45I can't understand how you can be so one sided and still call youself a news orgnization??? Why do stories like this only see 5 to 10 diggs and no covrage anywhere else??? I watched it on hardball live and don't understand why amaricans are ok with this kind of BS in the news. PLEASE VOTE FOR THIS STORY BEFORE THE RIGHT KILL IT WITH THERE DIGG BOTS!
- alecks, on 10/12/2007, -5/+35and because you didn't give any fact or reason as to why, so are you.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+32This thread proves it the US is ***** up.
I had more respect for America when Clinton was in office. - lava, on 10/12/2007, -1/+26Oh my God that reporter is ridiculously biased.
- Joe_rigby, on 10/12/2007, -5/+29What bothers me is that Bill Clinton has "sexual relations" with Monica, lies about it and gets impeached, but George Bush invades a sovereign nation and lies about the reasons that justify it and nothing is done to him, and people actually get killed with what George Bush did.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+26Free speech is treasonous now? People like you are the reason America is becoming so fascist.
- Noein, on 10/12/2007, -3/+23I don't watch TV so I don't know the nature of the show, but maybe the reporter was just playing Devil's Advocate. Though her question and the way she asked them appear to be somewhat out of line, she did give Sheehan time to finish answer all the questions, they weren't arguing. Actually the way she asked those questions makes Sheehan's answers stand out more IMO.
- MoofTheStoof, on 10/12/2007, -3/+22Actually, the site is just reflecting a larger movement in the country, at large - a movement away from failed conservative policies.
Remember, Cindy Sheehan is a mourning mother - I've been through the loss of somebody important to me (I'm a widower), and it changes you. I think Cindy Sheehan is remarkably stable for somebody who lost her son. It was tough to mourn my wife, but losing one of my children would have destroyed me. - innerspirit, on 10/12/2007, -4/+23you must not have heard of "freedom of speech" and "democracy" yet
- misinformation, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
Bill of Rights
"The basis of our government being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right."
Thomas Jefferson
"What is more: we think that powerful and lifeful movement is impossible without differences - "true conformity" is possible only in the cemetary."
Joseph Stalin
Do you realize what your advocating now? Hello little Stalin. - JorgeGonzalez, on 10/12/2007, -2/+20I concur. I was taken aback by this reporter's attitude and approach. I don't think a reporter should ever be so objective to never get the truth out, but this was a constant and steady barrage against Sheehan.
- evildeadman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18@Noein: Really? The way it appeared to me, she (Sheenan) could barely get some of her answers out before Ms. Jones would butt in with her next question. If she was playing devil's advocate, she sure fooled me. Now, it could have been worse, at least Ms. Sheenan used her available time per question to provide cohesive responses, something which would probably not have happened if she was being asked the same line of questions by, oh, say Bill O'Reilly. Furthermore, the line of questioning sounded a lot like something he would go on about anyway: "You called the President a terrorist...yeah but you called the president a terrorist...yeah but you called the president..." followed by "You like Hugo Chavez...yes but you like Hugo Chavez...". Her line of questions almost makes her sound like a child, in my opinion.
- MoofTheStoof, on 10/12/2007, -3/+17What you hear are the drum and fife of the true patriots. The country is moving away from Conservatives because it's becoming painfully obvious that you guys are colossal failures at running things.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+18No, she admitted she wants to live under a democratically elected president. I wish I did to.
- Owned1Up, on 10/12/2007, -5/+19Hardball = yell at innocent old women to get high ratings
- Sp1k3d, on 10/12/2007, -4/+17You sir are an idiot, I doubt even small majority think that President Bushs policy isn't evil enough. Even conservative pundits like Tucker Carlson don't support this war.
War is hell. - Langford, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14While I disagree with quite a few of her viewpoints, it's nice to see someone who seemed so meek get the best of someone who seemed so aggressive.
- dignon, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15I think much better of Cindy Sheehan after seeing that video. She seems very reasonable and intelligent. My opinion of MSNBC could not possibly get any lower and this interviewer only re-asserts my low regard for them.
- rach, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14I don't really watch Hardball. Does it work so that the one with the loudest and most neurotic disposition wins?
- MyDigitalSin, on 10/12/2007, -4/+16With the media being influenced by the government, of course the newscaster is trying to get under her skin, they are trying to undermine her position. I'm surprised at how calm and collected Cindy is during the "interview / getting her "heiny chewed off?. My hat is off to Cindy.
- WorldBuilder, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13I find several people's comments moronic...
People are saying Cindy got her heiny ripped off, and made an ass of herself, etc, etc... This simply isn't the case. When asked questions, she answered them. With specific names, specific terms, specific phrases. Amazingly enough, she was more, let me say this again, SPECIFIC in her responses than ANY politician is over any given issue.
Personally, she annoys me and I disagree with her on most subjects. But she absolutely DID articulate her points very well and turned the would-be onslaught of that idiot reporter into an intelligent debate on issues.
Let's review:
Cindy Sheehan - 1
Norah O'Donnell - 0 - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13I already live in the US; I just wish we had a president that the people actually want
- cakestick, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14Take a wild guess at how this person feels about Man Coulter, and you'll see why their image of 'patriot' is so askew.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+16Sheehan is exercising her patriotic rights as an American to engage in civil disobedience against a President's foreign policy which she doesn't agree with. Her son would be extremely proud of her. If you don't agree with that statement, then you can move your ass to communist China. You anti-American communist traitor.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12I think matthewmok, Abjure, and DROB003 are all the same person. They all posted that CS is a commie and should be tried for treason within a few minutes of each other. Also, matthewmok and DROB registered within days of each other.
- innerspirit, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13And the problem with living there being...?
- NoahVail, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Ein Volk! Ein Fuhrer! We must not question our leader.
- JorgeGonzalez, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1442.7% of all statistics are made up on the spot
- innerspirit, on 10/12/2007, -5/+14Venezuela is not under a communist regime AFAIK
- slugicide, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12Uh huh, I'm sure you're right, 'cause *you* knew him better than his *mother*.
- elephantdog, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12Not towing the party line is a crime now? Do you complain about the Chinese government, because you're telling me that's the kind of government you want?
Straighten the ***** up. America is still free-ish because of people like her, and getting less free because of people like you. - MoofTheStoof, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9http://www.macresistance.com/images/cap_droboo.jpg

Same person trying desperately to be heard - maybe looking for another soul out there who agrees? Or maybe just puffing the conservative numbers? - khaefner, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9The world needs fewer people such as yourself. Preach nothing but tolerance!
- stickyboot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9khaefner: didn't you know? Tolerance is the new right wing code word for homosexuality ;p
- Desertfox, on 10/12/2007, -7/+15So much for the "liberal-dominated media". This looked like something out of O'Reilly's Spin Zone
- kaemaril, on 10/12/2007, -13/+21Treason is illegal.
Sedition is illegal.
I don't see any law-enforcement types queueing up to arrest her. That should tell you something. - elephantdog, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10She is best qualified to know what her son would have wanted, and you certainly did not know him- probably never fought in Iraq or any conflict right or wrong.
So glad to know fighting is optional in the US military. I could join and just stay home. Yep, sounds good- let's start some ***** in Russia next. - rectagon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8She definately proved the biblical verse "a gentle answer turns away wrath". Well done. I'm sure I would have got defensive with that lady and yelled once or twice. DIGG
- elephantdog, on 10/12/2007, -6/+13And you would know?!
- heavensblade23, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10Christ, Sheehan ***** DEMOLISHED that reporter. It was like watching Luke Skywalker fight Stephen Hawking.
- deeek, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10And you would no this how? Please share with us your seance techniques.
- kaemaril, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9Yep, George certainly has spent a lot of money internationally. He's certainly pumped a lot of money into Iraq ... unfortunately in the shape of munitions and troops ... but hey, they cost too you know.
- slothagent, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Perhaps Stephen Colbert put it best when he said "reality has a well known liberal bias"....
- plyadigg, on 10/12/2007, -8/+13GREAT VIDEO - - I have not seen any one with this composure and clarity of thought in such a stressful situation in a long time. If only our president had her qualities
