catholicexchange.com — The accused molesters not only walk, they walk away with cash settlements, health insurance and letters of recommendation-just so long as they agree to get lost.

Do you believe in Equality under the Law?
Equal Punishment for same Crime?
Well do you?
Read before you say anything. - prolifemama, on 02/22/2008, -1/+11Amen, my dear brother. This is the same kind of thinking that doesn't allow racial profiling at airports and other homeland security checks for fear of curtailing someone's 'rights.' It's enough to make the angels weep.
- Antarcticn, on 02/22/2008, -1/+11No justice. The Catholic church is a bigger target. So, sic independent child molesters on society at large, and let them run wild among innocent victim children. Simultaneously, manufacture and dig up more "surppressed memories""about Catholic priests.
This is "law" at work, money-craven lawyers/liars gone amok, no true justice, and the entire Catholic church being damned for misdeeds of some aberrants. Double standard? You bet. Such is the world of professional liars and criminal godvernment.
"Children victims for sale! Step right up and get your warm child victims right here! 10 for a $1 is today's special deal." - gmarie624, on 02/22/2008, -1/+9What I've often wondered is why the leaders of other religious denominations (Protestant, Jewish, etc.) are never in the news for child sexual abuse, because obviously they don't have abusers in their midst. Right? Maybe they can share their formula for success/prevention.
- Kent4jmj, on 02/22/2008, -1/+8Not sure if you were being sarcastic. Lack of facial expressions and tone of voice ya know. Anyways if sincere then I would hazard a guess that the problem is there, but not gone after by the press and lawyers because Catholic Church had the money but also to discredit demoralize a large block of Christians who could make a real difference if they knew how.
- Kent4jmj, on 02/22/2008, -1/+7Many Catholics seem to be clueless concerning their faith and their responsibility to effect the moral political climate of the country.
- MrsSpooky, on 02/22/2008, -1/+6AMEN, Kent!!!
- MrsSpooky, on 02/22/2008, -2/+12The Catholic Church is "conservative" in that it teaches chastity (no sexual license - no approval for homosexuality) and it's outspokenly pro life. Everything the liberal drive-by media hates. You can bet that any irregularity will be magnified a thousand-fold.
What they don't report is that these priests who have abused the children in their care were homosexual pederasts, NOT pedophiles. Never mind that the overwhelming percentage of abused minors were males. The MSS figures (rightly, it seems) that their audience will not look beyond their 'reporting' and find out the truth on their own.- rjwusa, on 02/23/2008, -2/+6http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pederasty
I just looked it up. Odd.Pederasty is a part of the LGBT and Queer studies series on Wiki. ICK!

- Kent4jmj, on 02/23/2008, -1/+7Its a shame that liberal atheist church bashing types who claimed such outrage that our children were being molested by priests are not as outraged when it comes to teachers. Where are the NY Times, Washington Post, MSN FOX etc.?
- gmarie624, on 02/24/2008, -1/+5Could there be an anti-Catholic bias with these news outlets?
- Antarcticn, on 02/25/2008, -1/+3Nah, no way! FAUX "news" is "fair and balanced". Right? And the NY Slimes has never printed a lie. Never. And the Washington Post achieved god-hood when it forced Nixon's resignation. News outlets? Hardly. More like saints! They're already canonized, aren't they?
