- inactive, on 12/03/2008, -6/+79I'm sure the comments will mostly debate whether Obama's a citizen or not (yawn). The funny part is the guy spent all this money on the ad, put it in the paper, and the paper checks it out and clarifies its contents.
That's like watching an ad for a Chrysler during LOST and after the break, John Locke interrupts the dialogue, turns to the camera, and says, "By the way, the Chrysler ad you just saw was full of crap. It actually is not as safe as its competitors and most people I know who drive Chryslers experience a magnitude of problems. You probably shouldn't buy one." - inactive, on 12/03/2008, -10/+77OWNED
- doubleplus, on 12/03/2008, -10/+67It won't change anything. These people know they're lying. They're just trying to hurt Obama's credibility and power. Too bad for them. They're irrelevant now.
- asgardshill, on 12/03/2008, -8/+54If Barack Obama were to physically shove his long-form birth certificate up Rush Limbaugh's ass, the wingnuts STILL wouldn't believe that it was the genuine article. (Of course, they would all get a much closer look at it, being up Rush's ass and all ...)
- Alheithinn, on 12/03/2008, -12/+57This is about as stupid as it gets, folks. JOHN MCCAIN WAS BORN IN THE PANAMA CANAL ZONE. This is the pot calling the kettle black and then some. At least Obama was born in Hawaii, an actual US State.
Rather than making silly claims about Obama's citizenship (which despite your insane claims is not actually in doubt) perhaps you ought to be looking at Palin and her husband trying NOT to be US Citizens by affiliating themselves with a group dedicated to making Alaska independent. - USArugula, on 12/03/2008, -3/+37You mean you "the nutjobs". We the people, in fact, vetted Obama through two years of his camaign -- we saw all the Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers stuff, and we also saw his platform, his intent to lower taxes, his plan to help the middle class access healthcare and stability. After all that, we the people voted this man into office because we believe him to be the best man for the job. And we did it with a the second highest percentage of voter turnout in US history -- with only Reagan's second term turnout surpassing it. That's what "We, the People" did.
- inactive, on 12/03/2008, -7/+41Cashman, everytime you comment about this non-issue, the more pathetic you become. But please, keep it up. It gives us a reason to tear into you.
ObamAmerican's Conspiracy Theory Laws:
1) The lifespan of a conspiracy theory is directly proportional to the amount of attention it receives from people like you and me.
2) The validity of said conspiracy theory is inversely proportional to the efforts to PROMOTE the theory. - nicegeek, on 12/03/2008, -1/+34Better answer cash - otherwise we'll have to take your silence as admission of guilt.
- panicbombs, on 12/03/2008, -9/+42Our country and world is imploding. The newly elected president is trying to come up with a team and solutions to dig us out of our deep hole but that is not good enough for the wing nuts. They spend their time and energy on false crap like this and no wonder they got their ass handed to them in the past 2 elections.
- inactive, on 12/03/2008, -5/+38Jesus H. Christ on rubber crutches! This used to be mildly amusing but now its just pathetic.
Cashman...you need to change your handle to Man of La Mancha. You keep repeating yourself over and over and over every single day and it only makes you look more and more ridiculous.
Have a little dignity and move on to the next conspiracy theory...this one is done. - scottknick, on 12/03/2008, -6/+37FTA: Schulz supports his argument with a reproduced Indonesian school document that states Obama's citizenship at that time as "Indonesian." But the same document also lists Obama's birthplace as " Honolulu, Hawaii."
A wonderful example of circular Birther reasoning. They claim there's no conclusive evidence that Obama was born in the U.S., but are happy to produce as evidence of his Indonesian citizenship a document stating he was born in the U.S.
What I still don't get is why the Birthers believe Indonesian law trumps U.S. law in this case. Is it possible that the Birthers are being secretly funded by the Indonesian government, a country with one of the world's largest Muslim populations? COULD HOWARD SHULTZ BE A SECRET MUSLIM? I have yet to see any conclusive documentary evidence to prove that he is not!!! - ironhide, on 12/03/2008, -2/+30Silence has never and will never be an admission of guilt. You fail at logic Cash. Also, reported for spamming.
- acmaurer, on 12/03/2008, -6/+34i wonder how many newspapers this guy approached...
- ironhide, on 12/03/2008, -3/+31"why won't the government open another investigation in to 9/11? - they must be hiding something" - How does it feel to be a troofer?
- IphtashuFitz, on 12/03/2008, -7/+34Proof that the confirmation never took place or STFU.
- inactive, on 12/03/2008, -3/+29Nope, after Alaska got its wish and seceded, it just took over as the 50th.
- jackieblu, on 12/03/2008, -6/+31This issue should be over right now, but the wing nuts are a kin to pit bulls that are locked on. It's time just to ignore them until they can find a valid issue. Approximately, 49 days till The President- elect becomes President Obama, read it and weep wing nuts!
- scottknick, on 12/03/2008, -1/+26No, they'd accuse Obama of "attempting to conceal the evidence."
- ironhide, on 12/03/2008, -3/+28When you post the same message over and over in multiple threads - yes it's spam.
- mikbunn, on 12/03/2008, -3/+28But look, he uses a zero instead of an O to start Obama's name. Get it? Like Zerobama! It's clever. I wouldn't expect you to understand something that clever. Because you're sheeple. Like people and sheep put together. Because sheep are overly trusting! Get that one? It's also clever.
- IphtashuFitz, on 12/03/2008, -6/+31You are an idiot. The fact that a person wasn't quoted directly in news articles is proof of nothing. Your logic is also pathetic. Why would the state of Hawaii have a birth certificate on file and in its vaults if it's not for a Hawaiian citizen? You think Hawaii would have a Kenyan birth certificate on file there? That's patently absurd.
It's not my job to prove he was born in Hawaii. I trust all the reports. I trust the fact that numerous people have examined the original copy of the birth certificate and that Hawaii's health director vouched for it. I trust those people a hell of a lot more than I trust conspiracy theorists like you and your twisted non-logic. So again, prove your claim that no confirmation ever took place or STFU. And by proof I mean something more than missing quotes in newspaper articles or claims that secretaries of state refused to state if/how they determined his eligibility. Back that statement up with FACTS. I've not heard anything to back that claim up. - USArugula, on 12/03/2008, -0/+23Pitofdoom:
Saying he hasn't proved natural-born citizenship over and over again does not make it so. The fact of the matter is that he has proved it and you refuse to believe it. If he showed you a long form original birth certificate, you would refuse to believe it. If you saw him drop from his American mother's womb onto American soil, you would refuse to believe it.
And even more on point, this has nothing to do with citizenship. You disagree with Obama's policies and don't want him as your president. In your desperation to not accept him as such, you are A) grasping at the straws of conspiracy in the fading hope that it just might be true, and B) collaborating with others so that, when proven wrong, you will have at least put a opaque question mark above Obama's head so as to undermine his efforts with the fringe element of society, i.e., working against the future and will of the American people.
In the old days, you folks were the lone loons who showed up to town and city council meetings in threadbare clothes clutching a tall and disorderly stack of folders and documents to make far fetched cases of political conspiracy. Sadly, through the internet, you have found each other to garner strength in numbers. That is why I have taken it upon myself -- as have others here -- to make sure your threadbare garments and conspiracies do not remain hidden by the sanitary guise of page layouts and user-friendly interfaces. You, sir, have lost your grasp. And I wish you a speedy recovery. - ironhide, on 12/03/2008, -2/+25Please state what law indicates that silence is proof of fraud.
- ironhide, on 12/03/2008, -1/+23Haven't you been posting virtually the same message in multiple threads? Yes or no?
- inactive, on 12/03/2008, -1/+23It is only about "The Constitution" when it is convenient to the birthers. It isn't REALLY about that, obviously.
- ironhide, on 12/03/2008, -2/+24That was a criminal case. In the civil actions against Obama, he has not been compelled by any court to show any documentation whatsoever and I defy you to show me that he has.
- reed311, on 12/03/2008, -2/+23Yeah, Cash is the same guy who whined for months about people crashing Ron Paul threads and now all he does is spam Obama threads.
- cmootoo, on 12/03/2008, -0/+20Really? If he doesn't produce the long form birth certificate to an independent party then that's treason? How so? No court has ordered him to produce anything, especially a personal medical document. Just because he hasn't produced it to you and all the nutjobs who ask for it doesn't mean it hasn't been produced to the people who are supposed to verify these things.
You're hardly in any position to state that if he doesn't produce that then he doesn't get the football. I believe the voting public as a whole had a say as to who they thought should be in charge of that for the next 4 years. - inactive, on 12/03/2008, -2/+21No, crazy is whipping this dead horse in the face of a mountain of evidence that you are wrong.
But that never stopped you before... - inactive, on 12/03/2008, -3/+22I can sh0w y0u that time 0 w0n the electi0n if y0u'd like. I can als0 sh0w y0u that time y0u c0uldn't d0 anything ab0ut it.
- thepoliticalcat, on 12/03/2008, -0/+18No. Well, his psychiatrist, maybe.
- Lewie, on 12/03/2008, -3/+21I have clear proof that Cashman57 is an Al Qaeda operative. Why else would he try to discredit the President-elect if he wasn't a terrorist trying to disrupt the American political system? If Cashman57 doesn't provide clear proof otherwise, including the original Long-Form of his birth certificate and sworn testimony by the hospital staff that delivered him, I will alert the FBI immediately and recommend a long stay in Guantanamo.
Your days of terrorist activity is over Cashman57! Your spreading of Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt will no longer threaten America! - oldhick, on 12/03/2008, -0/+18@nicegeek, well played sir. well played. ;)
- inactive, on 12/03/2008, -5/+22Going back to my argument above, that the real funny part of all of this is how the paper is making its advertiser look ridiculous, ANOTHER writer has chimed in and calls Schulz "deluded" for thinking Congress would ever seek action over this:
http://blogs.chicagotribune.com/news_columnists_ez ... - charm803, on 12/03/2008, -4/+21FTA:
"•Schulz says that legal affidavits state Obama was born in Kenya.
The affidavits that Schulz refers to are FILLINGS BY THE OBAMA CRITICS THEMSELVES in the court cases challenging Obama's citizenship."
I don't whether to laugh because Schulz is sneaky or cry because people believe him.
[emphasis mine] - oldhick, on 12/03/2008, -2/+19Does anyone care what you think cashman57? Seriously.
- inactive, on 12/03/2008, -6/+23@cashman57 why are you people so intent on making yourselves look like idiots? It is obvious that Obama was born in Hawaii and even if there was a "cover up" it will never be uncovered. He has already been elected and this is a pathetic attempt to discredit the man by racist ***** like Schulz. If Schulz is so intent on wasting money then he should throw some my way. ***** moron.
- ironhide, on 12/03/2008, -2/+19He has proven it. The proof provided is satisfactory to all but a handful of malcontents.
- JenniferInMO, on 12/04/2008, -2/+18I DEMAND TO SEE THE TITLE TO HIS CAR! WHAT IS HE HIDING? I THINK HIS CAR IS REALLY OWNED BY SOMEONE TRYING TO DESTROY AMERICA, AND I HEARD THAT THE ORIGINAL TITLE IS REALLY LOCKED IN A VAULT IN CYPRESS. WHY, WHAT IS HE HIDING? I DEMAND TO SEE THE CAR TITLE RIGHT NOW!! I WROTE AN EMAIL TO CHANGE.GOV AND THEY NEVER RESPONDED. WHAT IS HE HIDING?
IF I DON'T SEE THE TITLE TO HIS CAR RIGHT NOW WE WILL HAVE A CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS! - USArugula, on 12/03/2008, -3/+19See, you sort of make a point with "Clinton retreads". Everybody is suspicious of the Clinton's right? (Economic prosperity during the Clinton years notwithstanding) But then you kind of shoot yourself in the foot there by noting that Obama is reaching across the aisle to pull in people from the other side. Sort of makes your first point moot.
Then of course, there's the whole "the president sets the mission, the generals and troops (and cabinet members) carry out that mission" thing. I know that after 8 years of Dick Cheney it's hard to remember a time when the president was actually running the joint, but I think it's safe to say that's what's happening here. - cmootoo, on 12/03/2008, -0/+15Nobody died and made you enforcer of the constitution. Grow up kid. You have no other reason other than to try and discredit your next president and are conveniently using the constitution as a shield.
Let the court decide whether to even hear this case. If they decide they won't then are they unconstitutional? - oldhick, on 12/03/2008, -2/+17"Are we a Nation of laws?", yes. Now show me the law that says Obama must produce a specific type of birth certificate.
- ironhide, on 12/03/2008, -3/+18He has nothing to clear up. His documentation has been proven satisfactory to all but a few malcontents.
- ironhide, on 12/03/2008, -2/+17Cash is a Paulite - he knows all about lost causes.
- cquinnd, on 12/03/2008, -2/+16real simply, Obama is clearly a natural born citizen.
- JenniferInMO, on 12/03/2008, -0/+14Now for the real source. Please tell me where the law provides that not responding to a few paranoid delusionals is evidence of fraud.
I am satisfied with the certified BC he has provided. Apparently so was Hillary, McCain and the RNC. Oh, yeah and the American voters.
Since I am satisfied then it is a non issue. I want my President-Elect to try to save our downward spiraling economy and get us out of the two endless wars, one of which was fraudulently started by the existing Administration.
Why aren't you freaking out on the fact that we have been nearly bankrupted by the lies, cronyism and imperialist ideology of the Bush Administration? You would find that sane people would support those efforts. Why don't you jump on that bandwagon? - inactive, on 12/03/2008, -3/+17If it keeps them occupied, while the REAL work fixing America takes place, I am all for it.
- inactive, on 12/03/2008, -1/+15You really do live in nonsense land don't you?
You've yet to talk about the birth announcement issue.
But since you won't, tell us, why would his indonesian school document say he was born in Honolulu Hawaii? - wholesum, on 12/03/2008, -6/+19i say let the nutcases pound away at this issue! let them scream in their eco chamber of insanity, instead of attacking Obama on actual issues that could gain a foothold in the conservative electorate.
- netneutrality, on 12/04/2008, -1/+14"State officials say there's no doubt Barack Obama was born in Hawaii.": http://www.foxnews.com/wires/2008Oct31/0,4670,Obam ...
Yawn. We've been through this a zillion times. I can't believe this argument is still going on. -
