- Matsya, on 02/04/2009, -21/+484Of course he does, gotta keep the American people scared. Yeehaw.
- kp998, on 02/04/2009, -18/+313Time for DICK to leave Washington and go back to his undisclosed location. (under a rock).
- inactive, on 02/04/2009, -15/+278Oh Dick. Doing what you do best. Getting everybody all skeered and *****. And living in a constant state of denial. What else would we expect him to say? He's got to save face and cover his ass.
Is it possible? Of course it is! You and your pals did your level best to ensure another terrorist attack.
Hey Dick--go capture Osama bin Laden and then we'll talk.
What an *****. - philosophyzombi, on 02/09/2009, -22/+238He is such an A-hole.
- omefrans, on 02/04/2009, -11/+135“I think they’re optimistic. All new administrations are optimistic. We were,” he said.
--- I guess he's referring to the fact that the Bush administration ignored the warnings about the threat of al-Qaeda in their early days? See for example http://www.gwu.edu/%7Ensarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB147/in ... ?
“If you release the hard-core al Qaeda terrorists that are held at Guantanamo, I think they go back into the business of trying to kill more Americans and mount further mass-casualty attacks,” he said. “If you turn ’em loose and they go kill more Americans, who’s responsible for that?”
--- Maybe the people who made sure that they cannot be convicted in a court of law, because of coercive interrogation techniques?
*The potential consequences of $1 trillion in deficit stimulus spending: “It’s huge, obviously – potentially huge. You worry about what ultimately happens to inflation. You worry about what’s going to happen to the ability of the government to borrow money. … I’m nervous.”
--- Luckily the Iraq war was a freebie. (Including the human suffering.)
*Whether the Bush administration should have done more about the economy: “We did worry about it, to some extent. … I don’t think anybody actually foresaw something of this size and dimension occurring. It’s also global. We only control part of the world economy – a very important part.”
--- Everyone has to agree that the "Nobody could have predicted that..."-defense is a panacea. It's not incompetence, it's ignorance, stupid! All is well that seemed well... (9/11, Katrina, a depression-like recession that could not be called a recession... and I probably missed some...)
“If it hadn’t been for what we did—with respect to the terrorist surveillance program, or enhanced interrogation techniques for high-value detainees, the Patriot Act, and so forth—then we would have been attacked again,” he said. “Those policies we put in place, in my opinion, were absolutely crucial to getting us through the last seven-plus years without a major-casualty attack on the U.S.”
--- BOO! Also, I always whistle when crossing the street, to make sure that elephants don't trample me. - stormkrow, on 02/04/2009, -35/+151False Flag much there Dick?
If anything happens in he US the first place to look is at the PNAC and the GOP?
WTC-7: The Smoking Gun. - drmobutu, on 02/04/2009, -6/+96Cheney's threats don't scare me...
- sheeplescareme, on 02/04/2009, -6/+84it's called conditioning. our select-resentatives know the best way to control the serfs is to keep them in a state of fear.
- masonentingh, on 02/04/2009, -6/+83Hey, today is my cat's birthday!
- inactive, on 02/04/2009, -6/+83As Vice President, Dick Cheney was in charge of the Bush Administrations "Counter-Terrorism Task Force." In the 9 months prior to the 9/11 attacks, the Counter-Terrorism Task Force NEVER MET.
- wjappe, on 02/04/2009, -12/+80"Cheney warns of new terrorist attacks", yeah he's still doing that? And he's planning on attacking again? Got to keep a eye on him.
When are they going to put a "bag" on him? - Malarie, on 02/04/2009, -9/+72Dick Cheney.. If there is another attack on us soil, its because he organized it.
- Nerys, on 02/04/2009, -7/+70The problem is IT WORKS.
Just ask people why we invaded IRAQ. its amazing how many people STILL to this day associate the war in IRAQ with 9/11 even though the two had absolutely positively nothing to do with each other. - labmouse42, on 02/04/2009, -4/+63Thats the power of propaganda.
FOX news viewers are nearly twice as likely to think that Saddam had something to do with 9/11.
Here is a little history lesson :
The US backed Saddam because he was a highly secular ruler. He was willing to ignore the Islam bullsheit and work with us when many in the middle east would not.
We stopped support Saddam around the time he invaded Kuwait.
Ayman al-Zawahiri and Osama Bin Laden hated Saddam -- as much as they hated us. Saddam would not allow them into his country and would have them killed if they did.
The fact that FOX news, the extended hand of conservative Rupert Murdoc, has people convinced that the Saddam and Bin Laden were tied together is an irony of gobal porportions. - tbhurst, on 02/04/2009, -5/+60And everybody else reminds Cheney he's not Vice-President.
- omgTHEPATRIOTS, on 02/04/2009, -6/+56This thread is almost on the front page and still nobody has mentioned how the anthrax came from a government laboratory!
- sheasie, on 02/04/2009, -21/+70Considering Cheney was behind 9/11, I would suggest we listen to him.
- LeepII, on 02/04/2009, -11/+59The next false flag attack, brought to you by the same people as the last one, PNAC, Mossad.
- freedomjoe, on 02/04/2009, -5/+51Too bad no one warned us about the domestic terrorists who took over the White House and stole our freedoms from us, used torture and started an illegal war, killing thousands.
I refer, Dick, to yourself, of course.
Terror Alert Level 5 Code RED : dick is in the house - SheilaNoya, on 02/04/2009, -2/+41True.
Dick Cheney was one of the original signatories of the PNAC charter. They didn't want to prevent an attack because they needed a "viable" reason to carry out their existing war plans.
Cheney made sure that Bush was surrounded with PNAC war profiteers, oil executives and Christian Fundamentalists. It was a dangerous mix of military, oil and religious fanaticism - the "Holy Trio of Terror". They would all benefit from an attack on the Middle East.
The attacks on 9/11 provided the perfect excuse for them to execute the PNAC agenda that they wrote back in 1996. - inactive, on 02/04/2009, -5/+42Or an attack from his shot gun?
- pcghost, on 02/04/2009, -3/+40Isn't there a prison cell with his name on it yet?
- principle, on 02/04/2009, -5/+41Cheney is worried that if the detainees are transferred to US prisons they “will acquire certain legal rights” like a legal standing to bring charges against him.
- SheilaNoya, on 02/04/2009, -16/+51I'm more worried about Domestic Terrorists than anything else.
After reading the crazy responses on every WorldNetDaily story, it's clear that we have a bunch of rabid idiots with guns who believe every lie they are told by the fear mongering wingnuts. We're breeding a bunch of new Timothy McVeighs who think they are part of some new Evangelical militia. The "God Warriors" have already destroyed the Republican party. Now they want to bring down the rest of America. - inactive, on 02/04/2009, -5/+39well he would know since hes the terrorist
- obliviousfool, on 02/04/2009, -8/+40Dick ...will he ever retire from giving stand-down orders?
- PhantomRogue, on 02/04/2009, -7/+38He needs Blackwater to be hired to police the States now that they got kicked from Iraq so of course hes gonna play the Fear and Terrorist card.
- labmouse42, on 02/04/2009, -7/+36Listen to the audio link FTA :
* He says that if Obama releases the hardened Al-Queda terrorists they will go back to being terrorists.
* He says that there is nothing more dangerous in a political world than hypocrisy.
* He says that there are Democrats in the party who believe if you turn the other cheek the terrorists will ignore you.
* He says that there are items in the stimuls bill that have very little to do with stimulating the economey.
The problem here is that all these, individually are not bad nor even necessarily wrong.
What makes Dick true to his namesake is that hes telling half-truths.
For example, there are democrats who believe that if you ignore the terrorists they will go away, but thats a very small percentage. There are items in the stimulus bill that are not for stimulating the economy, but its a very small percentage. - wonkavsn, on 02/04/2009, -4/+33I think he calls it his "lair"
- Matsya, on 02/04/2009, -0/+29Happy Birthday to your Kitty!
- greenlightison, on 02/04/2009, -7/+34he's been watching too much 24, or maybe writing too much 24, tic toc
- CoolHandLuke70, on 02/04/2009, -3/+30He and Biden and Powell keep on hinting towards another attack. They know it is going to happen obviously. This time watch the west coast be attacked to support their psychological bent on surrounding the U.S. citizens with events to instill the fear and manipulation that they plan.
- Zippo, on 02/04/2009, -7/+33Fear-mongering that was so typical of the Bush administration. ***** off, Cheney, we're sick and tired of your lies and haven't been listening to them for years now.
- ThsGuyRightHere, on 02/04/2009, -4/+29I'm telling you - were it not for separation between church and state the only difference between the U.S. and Iran would be that our religious extremists read a different book then theirs.
- Waiting2awake, on 02/04/2009, -1/+25True, I forgot about that. Whatever happened to that investigation anyway?
- inactive, on 02/04/2009, -6/+29Coming from the mouth of one who got 5 military "deferments" ...yet was always one of the biggest cheerleaders to start wars with any and all... perhaps DICK should be keeping his mouth shut these days and keep hoping that he does not end up where he belongs...In a PRISON CELL.
- mmittimm, on 02/04/2009, -6/+29Why do we still listen to this guy?
- JKap, on 02/04/2009, -9/+32Wouldn't want any more 'failures of imagination' now would we?
Why does anyone believe the government's official religious 9/11 Myth? Where are the relevant, self-consistent facts, empirical evidence and historical precedent(s) that prove beyond a reasonable doubt that 19 Arab Muslims with boxcutters 'collapsed' three (3) steel-framed high rises with two (2) aircraft, penetrated the defenses of the U.S. Military Command Center (Pentagon) with another alleged aircraft, and allegedly crashed another aircraft in Pennsylvania—all without the military being informed (allegedly)?
Thinking for yourself is a bitch, ain't it?
"We are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies, and competitive values. For a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people." -John F. Kennedy - inactive, on 02/04/2009, -5/+27Actually he's a Dick, but I guess that will do.
- eddy23170, on 02/04/2009, -4/+26i am more scared of the freedoms that will be taken away from such an attack. Absolutely mortified actually. On that note, the people that annoy me the most are the sheeple in the suburbs. They live and breath by Faux News and seem to walk around like little scared citizens. Many have said it a hundred times: Sacrifice freedom for safety and you deserve neither.
- TigerStar337, on 02/04/2009, -3/+25Get used to this sort of thing. Cheney needs to spread this sort of nonsense. Every day that the Obama administration rolls back his legacy and the U.S. isn't attacked is another day in which Cheney's contentions that the U.S. needed to embrace torture, preventive war and illegal surveillance in order to be safe is debunked. He has little choice but to spread the counter-narrative that we're actually just another day closer to another attack. That isn't surprising. Cheney is what he is.
- Insightful, on 02/04/2009, -5/+26After Cheney's 10 years of Secret Service protection is over, I will kick his ass. I think it is worth it.
- GovernmentSp00k, on 02/04/2009, -5/+26"If we can keep them in their caves with nothing but rocks to bang together, who cares if they hate us."
LOL!
(too bad we can't keep the Federal Reserve, Bankster Mafia, Wall St swinders, PNAC, both houses of Con-gress, Bernanke and Paulson etc. in caves with nothing but rocks to bang together..) - allowners, on 02/04/2009, -1/+21In a related development, Cheney busy planning and coordinating new terrorists attacks.

- GovernmentSp00k, on 02/04/2009, -11/+31Sudden rush to push HR 645...FEMA camps open for business..barbed wire detention camps built on American soil. Militarized prison camps, detainment centers established here in the United States all over the country in every state with capacity to house millions of American citizens. Once dismissed as "whacky" "tinfoil nutter" 'paranoid "conspiracy theory" and "wildly insane" by disinformationalist 'attack fleas', military shills and government apologist "bedunkers" is now *fact* that can no longer be denied by weak namecalling and ridicule. "Homeland' Ssecurity' labels the camps "NATIONAL EMERGENCY CENTERS"..(right...) Biden tell us "..it will not be 6 months before the world tests Barack Obama..'.. $Billion dollar taxpayer subsidized "bailouts", fraudulent no accountability "rescue plans" and "$trillion dollar "stimul-us package" swindles running rampant with no end in sight. A total economic collapse is immanent.
..Just what sort of premeditated "surprise" "national emergency" are the mis-leaders, deception artists and organized crime in power expecting? - michaelpinto, on 02/04/2009, -12/+31There's going to be terrorism — but it's going to be from people displaced from the economy. We're already seeing this where said person loses a home or job and then kills their family and then commits suicide. The next phase will be when said folks start to strike out on a larger basis and perhaps n an organized fashion.
