- omgTHEPATRIOTS, on 04/11/2008, -4/+41Why aren't these stories making it to the top of Digg? Of course, because all the dittoheads are furiously digging these kind of stories down! If anything, these stories about the Bush administration's war crimes and Mukasey implying things not in the 9/11 report should be taking up most of the headlines!
Help out by digging these stories up!

- inactive, on 04/11/2008, -0/+10I guess black people are enemies. and women are enemies. immigration is an enemy to Amerikkka. Responsible fiscal policy is an enemy. Unions are an enemy. Fair trade and protectionism tariffs are enemies to Amerikka. Lefties are against KKK and white hate, so I guess KKK and white hate is good for America. Lefties are against secret CIA assassinations and coups of other democratically elected presidents of 3rd world, so I guess other democratically elected 3rd world countries that won't let western corporations come and steal their resources are bad also huh?
Get a life and a brain. it's called books, try reading some. - omgTHEPATRIOTS, on 04/11/2008, -1/+11Can we round the whole lot of you ***** up and send you to China yet? None of you ***** schooled in the lexicon of 'conservative thought' or 'Rush Limbaugh's Advanced Institute of Conservative Studies' have a ***** clue about anything, and especially politics. American 'liberals', the same people you compare to Maoist communists, are not even in the same ballpark in terms of comparison. Most of you idiot dolts who do nothing but buy cheaply made Chinese goods from Walmart are doing more to support communism than any 'liberal' in America ever has, so kindly ***** off with your pseudointellectual fascist *****, because we will send you to places that you will truly be able to 'appreciate' communism!
- omgTHEPATRIOTS, on 04/11/2008, -2/+11And then we can send them to The Hague for a good ol' war crimes tribunal!
- swrostmore, on 04/11/2008, -0/+9Maher Arar, Khaled al-Masri, Bisher al-Rawi, Mohamed Farag, Ahmad Bashmilah, Bilal Hussein...all innocent victims of the Bush torture regime. But they were all Muslims, and muslims aren't "people" anyway, right?
- Rocco03, on 04/11/2008, -1/+10I hope American voters are proud.
- zardoz73, on 04/11/2008, -0/+8You are a true moron. There are a dozen reasons why we shouldn't torture prisoners, but let me throw this one out at you: if the U.S. tortures, then any U.S. serviceman captured by ANY enemy in the future may also be tortured and--get this--we can't say ***** about it. The U.S. is just as guilty as Country X, and we'd have no moral ground to stand on.
The world is not fair, but that doesn't mean it necessary to wallow in the mud. Go read a book sometime, I know it's hard for you, but just try it. - Waiting2awake, on 04/11/2008, -0/+8It water boarded, which is terror - as per the US's own definition. Now stop it, accept it, and do something so your name isn't attached to this crimes any longer. This isn't about toughening up - this is about the US living up to it's agreements.
- Knabber, on 04/11/2008, -0/+8Yeah, and so did Mr. Hypocrisy himself, John McCain...
voted against bill that would make it illegal for the CIA to use Torture during interrogations...
Quickest link I could find, but you can check multiple sources if you'd like.
http://www.crooksandliars.com/2008/02/13/whos-your ... - swrostmore, on 04/11/2008, -1/+9That Cicero quote is delightfully ironic considering we're talking treason -violations of US law and the constitution - at the highest levels of government. They certainly do "move among those within the gates, heard in the very hall of government."
And you ***** have certainly infested the body politics something fierce. - NonServium, on 04/11/2008, -2/+10Comment filed under "What the most jingoistic loyalists turn a bind eye to", Everyone but them cares a lot.
- Waiting2awake, on 04/11/2008, -0/+7Actually, it is you who is acting like the coward. What does it take for a big bad country like the US, multi trillion economy, state of the art fighter jets and space age equipment picking a fight with Iraq? And have to turn your backs on everything "civiliazed society" has agreed upon in war because? Spying on your own citizens. Enemies are everywhere? ? ?
Man, you are just a sad little man. - Cryptocracy, on 08/17/2008, -6/+13it appears Digg is becoming useless to patriots. the bias is obvious, I just did a search for this story buried and unburied and it didn't show up.
- Waiting2awake, on 04/11/2008, -0/+7Point 1 - How was Iraq involved with 911 again?
Point 2 - If American soldiers were not illegally occupying a country - how many Americans would be killed?
Point 3 - If you see toruring Iraqi's as justifiable for the 3000 Americans - what do you suppose is a just punishment for the death of aprox. 500 000+ killed, countless maimed for lies? Hmmm? 60 Million or so Americans? How ***** up is that now? Do you really think that is justified? And heck, at least it was Americans what would have done the damage in the first place, the Iraqis were killed because of Saudis (Whom America just gave 20 Billion too recently - How ***** up is it now?)
- GettinReal, on 04/11/2008, -1/+8The reason torture doesnt work is because most people will say anything to get you to stop. Just look at McCain. He signed statements and made VC propaganda videos saying "***** the US" and "I killed babies" and "this war is unjust" etc etc. I think John McCain is a big piece of ***** but I dont hold his torture induced statements against him.
- ovset, on 04/11/2008, -0/+6So nationalism ISN'T a bunch of hollow pride?
By the way, I'm pretty sure a Roman philosopher who lived 2,000 years ago didn't have corrupt American politics in mind when writing his proverbial insights. - MrBabyMan, on 04/11/2008, -1/+7Since you singled out my submission as an example you should know I post plenty of "important" news articles as well, such as this recent article showing that Bush had signed authorization for torture himself: http://digg.com/politics/Memo_Signed_By_Bush_AUTHO ...
If "important" news articles fail to make it to the front page, it's because the digg community chooses to put 'Anime eyes' and '40 lbs of rape' ahead of it. Take an active stance by promoting important news from Upcoming. - Cryptocracy, on 08/17/2008, -3/+9oops, forgot to click "all stories".... sorry digg
- goffy59, on 04/11/2008, -2/+8Dick head, bitch, and *****.
- ProZachJ, on 04/11/2008, -1/+6THIS is just so INSANE that we allow our leaders to do these kinds of this. To trample on our Constitution...for them to just claim all this power just makes me sick.
- omgTHEPATRIOTS, on 04/11/2008, -2/+7that's a shame, and i share in your frustration. none of the stories i posted above are getting any play here, despite the fact that they've all been reported on major networks: ABC, CBS, NBC... and from reputable sources. I've noticed lately that many stories that are damning to the right wing or the war in general are being buried as 'inaccurate' which is total *****. there's a loosely organized group of people digging these stories down and it may have to do with the story at wired.com where the military, specifically the air force, is trying to infiltrate and manipulate opinion. this may be what is being talked about in the Mukasey scandal about the 4th amendment and 'domestic military operations'.
- mrlivingston, on 04/11/2008, -0/+5I hope she IS the VP nominee. The GOP will go down in flames even faster.
- inactive, on 04/11/2008, -2/+7Ever notice that Ell3 begins a lot of comments with the phrase "Ever notice that America's liberal leftist. . ." Please get some new material if you're going to spam Digg.
- NonServium, on 04/11/2008, -1/+6How about you start with Bush?
- AvangionQ, on 04/11/2008, -1/+5"There's your war crimes tribunal list right there. While ABC brings up two terrorists that were connected to 9/11 - implying that even though our country's leaders have dragged us down to torturing people, at least they directed it at bad men who committed the worst tragedy on American soil - but what they fail to connect are names like Maher Arar, Khaled al-Masri, Bisher al-Rawi and Mohamed Farag Ahmad Bashmilah. Names of innocent men who were guilty of nothing more than being Muslim and were renditioned and tortured for information they could not provide." ... I simply can't fathom this aspect of our politics -- torture is ineffective for making people reveal truth ... they'll scream, lie, beg, shake, try to resist -- anything to make the pain stop -- but sifting any truth from that is a fool's errand ... I mean, you'd get better results from a polygraph test or an FMRI ... so, why keep torture as an interrogation method if it is ineffective ... have our politicians become so cold-hearted or sadistic -- have we allowed such evil by the people that we hope to hold in such high esteem ...

- swrostmore, on 04/11/2008, -0/+4Truthers are all bark and no bite...your actions in no way matchup with your rhetoric about being at war with your own government.
- omgTHEPATRIOTS, on 04/11/2008, -1/+5kiss my ass, the higher ground is who remains rational and refuses to act out of fear. fear is the mindkiller!
- spacey, on 04/11/2008, -0/+4The American public? More like "Bend over" and "Take it".
- swrostmore, on 04/11/2008, -1/+5*****, she's directly quoted as saying "its you're baby, go do it" in regards to CIA torture of detainees.
- Roobix, on 04/11/2008, -0/+3You should think about why the attack happened in the first place. It would be nice if we lived in a world where people are simply "evil" and others are simply "good", but it isn't like that, and as much as you like to play the innocent victim, maybe a closer look at your foreign policy might give you a clue.
- kcmedic, on 04/11/2008, -0/+3Except for the ones that don't. Then torture is just torture. I thought we were above that. The problem is that we go around the world telling countries how to treat their people, and then we go and torture others. It make the world hate us more...and the cycle continues.
- NonServium, on 04/11/2008, -0/+3Three obvious truths you all keep ignoring.
1. We didn't vote him in once. Our votes don't count. What does it take for you to realize this? You call others apathetic, yet you are either too apathetic to be bothered with researching the massive vote fraud going on in this country, or too apathetic to care about it preferring the lazier way of just pretending it's not happening.
2. The Democrats and Republicans vote over 90% the same the last few decades. Only their public rhetoric is different. It's an act. Start judging them by their actions and not their words.
3. The next president will continue with the same plan Bush has been following. The people with the guns that follow the president everywhere all the time ready to "protect" him in a moments notice are very insistent about that. Only the puppets change, the puppeteers who run things now will continue to do so. - Nanite, on 04/11/2008, -0/+3I read all of his posts with my best Andy Rooney voice:
"You ever notice how liberal leftists are always talking about che guivera? Who is this guy?" -
