- RavyneHawke, on 11/09/2007, -17/+143This was either an actual mistake on Cheney's part (he is a hundred times more intelligent than Bush and this is an obvious mistake Bush would make) or it was a diliberate mistake. After years of carefully listening to speeches and interviews with the Bush cartel, when they want to link countries together for whatever reason, they will mention one in place of the other. For instance, I remember seeing Rice talk about Iraq back in 2006 but she kept saying Iran and having to correct herself. However, what would stand out in most viewers' minds is IRAN, not Iraq. And as we see now, they are beating the drums for war with Iran. Is there something going on in Peru that could be bringing up a red flag? Only time will tell.
- hiphoc, on 11/05/2007, -2/+124Please leave Dick Cheney alone. I mean what is a guy supposed to do when he is up all night putting the finishing touches on the Death Star.
- IrishJoe, on 11/04/2007, -3/+79Go back to sleep, Dick, we're only talking about fires in California.
- mrfreeziexp, on 11/05/2007, -3/+67It can be very exhausting being the vice president of Pakistan.
- andrewcsayer, on 11/09/2007, -1/+52I think the US deserve better leadership
- Dumbledorito, on 11/05/2007, -5/+51I'm sorry, but "any conceivable reason" is off the table with this administration. You just sit back and let them do what Jesus tells George to do.
Funny how Jesus sounds like a balding cold-war relic with a pacemaker for a soul, but who are we to question the voice of God? - inactive, on 11/09/2007, -7/+52Every bird flies with its kind. That’s what happens when you hang around Bush often
- sdlee, on 11/03/2007, -1/+34Peru must now be part of the axis of evil ;)
- Rossoneri22, on 11/09/2007, -2/+33So it's confirmed, Bush's stupidity is contagious.
- consonance, on 11/05/2007, -1/+22Dick Cheney needs to become a member of the cast of "Heroes," because he has the power to bend reality with his mind.
- thomasprebble, on 11/04/2007, -2/+23He is quite popular right now, Chavez has really helped raise the living standards among the poor there.
- pintomp3, on 11/05/2007, -1/+22good to see our foreign policy is in capable hands.
- synthpop, on 11/04/2007, -0/+21Cheney's map doesn't show international borders, only oil reserves. so you can see why he got confused
- Dumbledorito, on 11/05/2007, -2/+22Maybe he was having a "Risk" flashback. Or that's what he's using for his global domination strategy. I've given up trying to figure out how that lump of anti-reason* he calls a brain works.
* With apologies to Terry Pratchett: Anti-reason is not the absence of reason. It is what happens when you go past the absence of reason and come out the other side. Anti-reason is what spawned New Coke, "Cop Rock" and the Star Wars prequels. - inactive, on 11/04/2007, -1/+20Yes, the people of Peru deserve better leadership. And so do we.
- jmpeagle, on 11/04/2007, -4/+19invade Peru?
- Winston84, on 11/05/2007, -1/+15Dick Cheney is a traitor : http://youtube.com/watch?v=bDfdOwt2v3Y
He is also a corrupt Halliburton-gangster known as "The Prince of Darkness" . - fantasmacanino, on 11/05/2007, -1/+13WE DON'T HAVE MUCH OIL.
SIGNED,
PERU - aadnk, on 11/03/2007, -0/+12Haven't you heard of the election fraud of 2000 and 2004?
- lhbaker, on 11/05/2007, -0/+12Not that hard for you, maybe.
- spyd3rweb, on 11/05/2007, -2/+13*Constitutionally Elected President.
- spawnfree, on 11/03/2007, -1/+11ah the rockerfelles.
its not about money anymore, its about restructuring society so the rich can do anything they want without being accountable to the surfs.
I hope they are all reincarnated in the hell they will create, outside the safe little world they inhabit now. - cultist667, on 11/03/2007, -0/+10Weapons of mass destruction are hidden beneath lake poopo.
- Dumbledorito, on 11/05/2007, -0/+9You'd think, as much as they have a hard-on for having Chavez sniped, they'd be able to recite what country he's president of in their sleep.
- spawnfree, on 11/03/2007, -0/+8charlie55
ahem, diebold voting machines?
flawed and easily hacked? going ahead regardless?
what conspiracy, they are blatantly corrupt. - whatthefu, on 11/09/2007, -2/+10If this was anyone but Cheney I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, because everyone makes slips. But god dammit, he's the vice president, and he's a douche.
- cjhowe, on 11/08/2007, -0/+8I think it's more like when you see your ex-girlfriend with some guy and she introduces him as Greg but you keep calling him Gary just to be an ass.
- Tiak, on 11/04/2007, -12/+20Is there honestly any conceivable reason to cause trouble in Peru?... I think you're reading a bit too much into this.
- inactive, on 11/03/2007, -6/+14Cheney is indeed a hundred times more intelligent than Bush, but this still makes him stupider than a retarded snapping turtle. Seriously. I don't know how Cheney has gained a reputation for competence over the years, because he has a record of complete failure in everything he has done, except profiteering, which may actually answer my query. Money talks more than brains in Washington D.C.
- amcmillan, on 11/05/2007, -0/+8Did he correct himself afterward? Sure, you might let it slip accidentally, if you're thinking about something else. But, jeez, shouldn't we have higher expectations of people in such high positions of our government that are in charge of working in an international context? I think so at least.
- Sylveran, on 11/03/2007, -3/+11Far more Legitimate elected President than Bush ever was or will be.
- avasol, on 11/09/2007, -1/+8I think the US "deserves better leadership" before other countries "deserve it too".
- spawnfree, on 11/03/2007, -1/+8all the corporations and their stooges see is a waste of good profit.
i am afraid to see a future run solely by corporations.
the world will become as india is now; hope you all like living on the street. corporations need more profit every day or the shareholder scam deems them worthless. - Razz, on 11/06/2007, -0/+7The people of the US deserve better leadership too
- Bdog2g2, on 11/03/2007, -0/+7better not, my wife's family will end up here with me.
Funny enough my wife took that as an insult to all Peruvians. - DesertDude, on 11/05/2007, -4/+11Have you seen the poll numbers? Hillary and Giuliani getting considerable votes? Bush winning in the last election? The US is getting *exactly* the leadership it deserves.
- QuickeningYak, on 11/03/2007, -0/+7Maybe Bush is contagious.
- getoffmybridge, on 05/05/2009, -0/+7If he's that feeble he should not be in a position that commands that kind of power. Give him a break? He's more than welcome to step down if his position is too much for him; I would imagine a good portion of the country would rejoice.
- underburn, on 11/04/2007, -0/+6Your thinking Steve Jobs, not Dick Cheney.
- gendjinn, on 11/05/2007, -1/+7Ahh, Republican inverted reality. If you win the popular vote you are a dictator but if you steal an election you are a democrat. Uh-huh.
The inbreeding has to produce sterility eventually right? As you can see we already have the imbecility. - Anzat, on 11/04/2007, -0/+6Cheney really isn't a hundred times smarter than Bush. He may not even BE smarter. Look at his background, grades, etc. He's a moron, too. He's just better at hiding it because he doesn't say much and his mumbling, Darth Vader demeanor conveys a false sense of gravitas. He's very good at appearing to be competent without having any idea what the ***** is going on.
- scottknick, on 11/04/2007, -0/+6Lemme say this about Dick Cheney: I think Canada deserves better leadership.
- GrodyChamp, on 11/03/2007, -2/+7Is this really worthy of a whole article on Digg? Not like it's news Cheney is an *****
- oilcan, on 11/05/2007, -0/+5win
- peterjmag, on 11/05/2007, -4/+9Silly Cheney! Everybody knows that Chavez is the president of... uh...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hugo_Chavez - krnldmp, on 11/04/2007, -3/+7Die.
- clothmonkey, on 11/04/2007, -0/+4*hordes*
- PopeRatzo, on 11/03/2007, -1/+5Be fair. Cheney's been giving a lot of speeches lately trying to drum up support for an attack on Iran and he hasn't been getting his usual 5 daily servings of babies' blood. It's hard to get good fresh babies' blood on the road, even for the vice president.
- krnldmp, on 11/04/2007, -0/+4That's why he goes around shotgunning people in the face. You know, to be careful.
