- sizzzzlerz, on 01/14/2009, -3/+107Yeah, exposing rapes of the Constitution is so traitorous.
Go ***** yourself, Dick! - Stavrosian, on 01/13/2009, -3/+103I suppose journalists are something of an aggravation to public officials operating outside the law. You tell 'em, Dick!
- Dauntless1, on 01/14/2009, -1/+63Anyone who thinks warrantless wiretapping is legal, moral, or even close to being right can kiss my ass. The government has no right to illegally investigate the whole nation just because they're too ***** stupid to catch terrorists any other way. And anyone who thinks the only information being collected and discussed is about possible terrorism needs to take a beginners level intelligent deduction class. You don't install equipment you have no intention of using, and you don't design equipment to do things you don't want it to do. Therefor, epuipment that can listen in to every bit of digital information that passes through our country and provide private information to Government individuals without oversight is doing exactly what it was meant to do: take away any vestige of privacy we were stupid enough to think we still had.
- inactive, on 01/14/2009, -3/+63It always aggravated me that he shot an old guy in the face and the old guy apologized. For getting shot in the face.
- superterrorizer, on 01/14/2009, -2/+44Cheney "aggravated" with anything that involves truth.
- vwerf, on 01/13/2009, -4/+43Cheney Angry.....that isn't news,
Cheney photographed feeding a stray puppy....now thats a news story - pixelguru, on 01/14/2009, -1/+37That's it... keep raising that blood pressure... a little more should do it.
- Enasni1212, on 01/14/2009, -2/+27NYT makes Cheney angry? Then they're doing their job.
- grungegbunny, on 01/14/2009, -0/+24Don't forget to mention it's a clear violation of the 4th amendment.
- Murdats, on 01/14/2009, -0/+22yes but he is feeding the puppy poison
- NotAChickenHawk, on 01/14/2009, -2/+22Jan 21: Former Vice President Dick Cheney was (re) hired today as President and CEO of Halliburton, Inc.
'nuff said. - SteaminTmann, on 01/14/2009, -2/+21I dont know about you guys, but whenever I see quotes from Cheney, I picture him saying things like the Penguin from Batman Returns
- yocouchdigga, on 01/14/2009, -1/+18un-*****-believeable.... the NYT... doing their JOBS... whata bunch of god damn jerks.
/s - jrm125, on 01/14/2009, -3/+19Can't wait till this guy and Bush are out, and we can let the prosecutions and investigations do their job.
- winter360, on 01/14/2009, -2/+18i'm surprised Cheney didn't abduct the guy who broke the story and put him in his man sized safe.
- 16sinker, on 01/14/2009, -4/+19***** CHEENY!!!!
- blakbot, on 01/14/2009, -2/+16Uncle DICK, you are truly a piece of work!!!! Your ass should be imprisoned, or better yet, lined up with the rest of the BUSH BOY criminal syndicate, and fired upon by the US military. Some nerve......
- whahaa, on 01/14/2009, -0/+14I wish Bush would get charged with a felony.
- grungegbunny, on 01/14/2009, -2/+16Cheney- "Yeah uhhh... We don't torture. *wink wink nudge nudge*.
Hope they try em for war crimes. - pinchduck, on 01/14/2009, -0/+13Journalists ought to be aggravating to public officials operating inside the law. Perhaps if we had more aggravation, we wouldn't be sitting on a massive debt that was legally enacted, year after year, while journalists covered Madonna/Brittney/Whomever.
- billraydrums, on 01/14/2009, -1/+14Hopefully Cheney is "rewarded" for his crimes against the constitution and humanity.
- inc595, on 01/14/2009, -0/+13lol what's with the babyman haterz?
I bet Nixon was "aggravated" with Watergate too. These corrupt pricks just whine like little babies when they get caught. - netneutrality, on 01/14/2009, -1/+12Threatening the president is a felony?
Then I wish Bush will come to harm on January 21st. - cheezintern, on 01/14/2009, -2/+13there goes that damn free press again, I'm sure cheney would prefer we adopt the Russian model of 'free press,'
- inactive, on 01/14/2009, -2/+13HURRRRRR, I'm a terrified little GOP voter!
- bluesman3535, on 01/14/2009, -0/+9I disagree, the longer they shoot the more arms they "buy".
- LilRabbitFooFoo, on 01/14/2009, -0/+9He has to wait a few years because of "ethics" laws, I believe, but how much of a signing bonus do you think he's going to get after sending a trillion dollars to his old company? Money borrowed from the Chinese, paid to offshore companies who pay no US taxes, and paid for by your children's taxes and productivity...
- netneutrality, on 01/14/2009, -0/+9I understand that neocons are extremely easily frightened and like to control everything, but that's exactly why you should be afraid of the wiretapping, not the terrorists.
9/11 killed one thousandth of one percent of the US population. In terms of cold numbers, it's utterly trivial. Nearly as many people die each year from choking on peanuts. Isn't the risk of a totally unchecked and omnipotent federal government far more dangerous?
And what happened to proper conservative ideals of small government and maintaining personal freedoms? - taokr, on 01/14/2009, -1/+9To quote Cheney himself, "So?"
- Dauntless1, on 01/14/2009, -0/+8I wish Bush would go hunting with Cheney.
- charlietuna, on 01/14/2009, -1/+9If only the authors of this piece were married to covert CIA agents. grr
- NotAChickenHawk, on 01/14/2009, -1/+9Imagine that - uncovering information legally on a program designed to uncover information illegally. And the Vice President is annioyed.
- deweyhewson, on 01/14/2009, -0/+7Like this?
http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/8998/cheneypeng ... - inactive, on 01/14/2009, -0/+7I can't believe Americans just had a quasi-dictator as vice-president. I also can't believe that he isn't in jail after all of this (the same goes for other high bush administration officials). But what I can't believe is the "conservatives" (conservative my ass, you're getting behind an american surveillance program, that's like the biggest form of big government, that's BIG BROTHER) that support this things. I mean, this people support a side of the aisle or an ideology? I just can't get my head around it. One thing is to support the program altogether, which is sick but you're entitled to, and other is to want it to remain hidden of the public eye.
- inactive, on 01/14/2009, -0/+7Cheney feeding a stray puppy... to a mastiff. That's not news, that's to be expected.
- depro9, on 01/14/2009, -2/+9Hurry the ***** up & die you sad pathetic waste of life.
http://www.grumpychimp.com/stuff/cheney.jpg - Dauntless1, on 01/14/2009, -1/+8So, a guy who feels good about trampling the Constitution and violating peoples civil rights. Is anyone still proud of electing the Bush/Cheney Duo?
- slapded, on 01/14/2009, -1/+8Is it next Tuesday yet?
- israelifascist, on 01/14/2009, -1/+8He's probably irked the Israelis haven't finished slaughtering those Arabs, too.
- Dauntless1, on 01/14/2009, -0/+6Exactly. Criminals always whine when they get caught doing things they knew would get them into trouble.
- Dauntless1, on 01/14/2009, -0/+6I would approve of that use of tax dollars. Please proceed.
- inactive, on 01/14/2009, -1/+7Cheney = War Criminal... and a DICK!
- Dauntless1, on 01/14/2009, -0/+6Well, to be fair ANY politician nowadays gets aggravated by the truth. It's a job requirement.
- HappyScrappy, on 01/14/2009, -0/+6Why is that? Halliburton is now headquartered in Qatar. He takes the job, goes there and the law can't touch him.
- bluesman3535, on 01/14/2009, -1/+6Poor doughy, greedy unethical bastard.
- AmazingSteve, on 01/14/2009, -0/+5Media scrutiny is only aggravating to those who don't want people to know what they're up to.
- israelifascist, on 01/14/2009, -1/+6I haven't lived on illegally occupied lands? Well no- why would I want to do something like that?
- polypropglop, on 01/14/2009, -0/+5..... he let out a final hiss and slithered back under his rock.
- inactive, on 01/14/2009, -0/+5Nixon was aggravated. Watch Frost/Nixon. It's very pertinent to what has gone on with Bush and Cheney and the idea of presidents being above the law. Nixon did find The Washington Post to be aggravating. And he says in the interview that if the President of the United States says it's okay, then it's okay. And that's been Bush and Cheney all along. They believe they are above the law and they believe they know better than every one else. They have used the office of the Commander in Chief as their own GI Joe with Kung Fu Grip playground.
It sickens me that the Democrats keep saying they will not take any action against them. Just like Nixon getting pardoned -- it allows future politicians to take criminal chances. And it is gross. - bradcoudriet, on 01/14/2009, -0/+5You are the weakest link. - Goodbye
