Chase Bank Cheats Marijuana Legalization Groups Out of Cash

nytimes.com — JPMorgan Chase & Company is coming under fire for the way it conducted an online contest to award millions of dollars to 100 charities. Students for Sensible Drug Policy and the Marijuana Policy Project say they believe that Chase disqualified them over concerns about associating its name with their missions.

  • SunSmudge, on 12/19/2009, -0/+5This is important not just for the drug reform movement but for all citizens who are tired of being cheated, lied to and now disenfranchised by our banking and financial system. The entire banking system is corrupt, and JP Morgan Chase is the most despicable. Exorbitant interest rates on credit cards, ridiculous overdraft/ ATM fees, dubious investment banking practices that contribute to the current financial crisis... and this institution received billions of dollars in taxpayer bailouts. Boycott Chase now, and send a message to the banking cartel that Americans aren't going to stand for these abuses any longer.
