"You know" is valley girl stuff and it is a fairly reliable indicator of an empty mind. "Uh" is different.
There are a surprising number of public figures of varying degrees of intelligence and expertise, including many people in journalism, who clutter their speech with such things---some of them badly. The audacity it takes to campaign in public and step ahead of people with a lifetime in government is breathtaking! It is Paterson's choice to elevate this retard or not. I can't wait to see how this turns out. @C0leburns you are right about central New York. The same could be said for many decaying liberal states in the east. It is time for the yahoos in the city to be held to account.

She has no record of public service and has yet to qualify herself as a candidate by presenting any actual legislative agenda. I see some in their comments comparing her to Palin but (and I never ever thought I'd say this) at least Plain had 'some' experience from being a mayor and a governor. Than I see people compare her to Obama and again I fail to see the significance of that comparison either. Obama worked as a community organizer which is a tough and not a very rewarding job to take on.
