- ChristPissed, on 12/04/2007, -3/+57Culture of Corruption, covering up criminal and treasonous activities.
- LucidOne, on 12/04/2007, -2/+48The most corrupt administration in the history of the US!
- iching, on 12/04/2007, -2/+40Lost? ...............we know that is not the right word except for a second grader explaining something about the homework they didn't turn in.
Criminality and fascism is rampant and uncheck - DeviantDragon, on 12/04/2007, -2/+25I don't get why the title says "lost" there seems to be no doubt that the emails were deleted. No mystery here, people.
- ardenr, on 12/04/2007, -1/+19Anyone still think we should never question the President in a time of war? Even now? Anybody?
No? Time to start the removal, criminal proceedings and investigation, now. - mr5150, on 12/04/2007, -1/+18Again I ask....where are the ***** backups? Where are the archives? Are they missing too?
Parlor tricks of getting the public to focus over here whilst getting them to forget about over there are getting long in the tooth.
Bring me the ***** backups!! is what should be demanded and should they be "lost" then that is not coincidence nor incompetence it is a cover-up of upmost concern.
These servers all have backup regimes and are stored off site. If these disappear then there is a conspiracy. - disillusioned, on 12/04/2007, -1/+15Even accounting for 2,500 staffers (which might be way overblown) that's about 4,000 emails lost *per person*.
What the ***** did they keep? - Digg4This, on 12/04/2007, -1/+9Gmail doesnt delete stuff!
- gigasquid, on 12/04/2007, -1/+9That amounts to a deliberate act of high treason. So what are you going to do about it huh?
- omnithought, on 12/04/2007, -1/+9See, this is when you have a military coup. Fire everyone and have a new election. No Diebold machines, though.
....and people rip on France. At least they take it seriously when their gov't ***** up. - CarterSample, on 12/04/2007, -1/+9I don't understand what the issue is. "I just the other day got... an Internet was sent by my staff at 10 o'clock in the morning on Friday, I got it yesterday [Tuesday]. Why? Because it got tangled up with all these things going on the Internet commercially."
Obviously it was lost in the series of tubes... - Moxsea, on 12/04/2007, -0/+6Whether or not keeping the emails is a waste of resources is a matter of opinion. Whether or not deleting the emails is a violation of federal law is a matter of fact.
- inactive, on 12/04/2007, -1/+7B-b-b-but... CLINTON!
- obliviousfool, on 12/04/2007, -1/+6The dog ate them.
It's not a violation of the Presidential Records Act if the dog eats them. Barney just doesn't know any better! - AriaStar, on 12/04/2007, -3/+8More like "lost".
- Damian91, on 12/04/2007, -2/+6God damn Al Qaeda
- yaddayaddayoda, on 12/04/2007, -1/+5Oh yeah... I "lost" my tax info too. Sorry about that, IRS!
- inactive, on 12/04/2007, -1/+5Yeah, electing yet another Republican is the answer.
- DeviantDragon, on 12/04/2007, -0/+4"CREW and another open-government watchdog, the National Security Archive, have joined forces to force the government to restore the millions of e-mails that were improperly deleted."
Doesn't matter if they backup. Lost implies that people don't know where it is or where to look. The article pretty plainly spells it out that these emails were deleted and that they are checking the backups. If the backups are corrupt or overwritten, then the data still isn't "lost." It can still be pretty clearly inferred that they were deleted. Really, the facts seem pretty obvious. - bbqsalad, on 12/04/2007, -0/+3WOW. These pieces of ***** should be locked up.
- Dorian822, on 12/04/2007, -0/+3There is no such thing as "lost" in the digital age. Unless the drives were physically damaged, there is always a way of regaining a percentage of those files. Let's just hope it's not the damn viagra ads and is something that can put Rove and company away.
- bratpack8, on 12/04/2007, -0/+3If you find the Nixon tapes, you will also find the emails...
- kreneskyp, on 12/04/2007, -0/+3ya because the government can't afford to purchase an extra 100gig harddrive.
- inactive, on 12/04/2007, -1/+4*****' A.
- slimnickyy, on 12/04/2007, -0/+2Like the White House doesn't backup. "Lost" totally fits.
- capiCrimm, on 12/04/2007, -2/+4I support impeaching second graders. They've been getting on my nerves with their 'addition' skills. DAMN YOU TO HELL!!!!!
- Malig, on 12/05/2007, -0/+2We can't trust any of these guys. Hang 'em high
Vote for Freedom, Vote for Peace, Vote for Ron Paul in 2008! - capiCrimm, on 12/04/2007, -2/+4I bet they got really good deals on natural male enhancement behind our backs.
Off With Their Head!!! - RuffRidr, on 12/04/2007, -1/+3Chico seems to think politics is some kind of team sport.
- hydroplane, on 12/04/2007, -0/+2The Ministry of Truth has been working overtime.
- bbqsalad, on 12/04/2007, -0/+2HIllary can suck my COC.
- Delphium226, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1Perhaps we need to start voter education camps, soviet-style, for those who think the President is a king and don't understand that it is a patriots duty to question.
- mr5150, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1LOL...sadly though, truth an honesty are rapidly becoming the catch cry of loosers.....Big L on my forehead.
- numb401, on 12/04/2007, -1/+2Yea, labeling everything as R or D is the answer!
- Veretax, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1Am I the only one that thinks its a WASTE of resources to have to back up important emails when you have that sort of volume?
- dafragsta, on 12/04/2007, -1/+2When someone dies, and you "lose" them, doesn't the doctor usually say "we lost him?" Lost cause? Lost has more than one meaning. I'm in no way endorsing our ***** administration, but if we are going to wax grammar, let's at least acknowledge that lost is commonly used in two ways, even if this is a spin job.
- yaddayaddayoda, on 12/04/2007, -1/+2@mr5150, this is why you are not President, nor can you ever be President. You make sense and have common sense. You believe in accountability. No public office for you, sorry...
- troye, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1Yup, I seen this coming just after Congress asked them for those emails.
- Delphium226, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1you forgot the /sarc tag
- VitriolAndAngst, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1"I do not thin' that word means what you thin' it means."
-- Princess Bride. - DeviantDragon, on 12/05/2007, -0/+1When a doctor says "We lost the patient" vs. "We lost the files" I hope to god you can discern context from those different examples. This email thing? It's the second instance.
- obliviousfool, on 12/04/2007, -0/+1If you disagree, good luck with Hillary, your chosen Democrat.
- odigity, on 12/04/2007, -6/+7So... I'm voting Ron Paul, cause he's the only honest man running. He'd do the best he can to clean up the corruption.
- RuffRidr, on 12/04/2007, -1/+1Ah, the last recourse of a Clinton apologist.
- Micoderre, on 12/04/2007, -0/+0CREW? I thought this was going to be about Counter Radio-Controlled IED Electronic Warfare.
- MadN, on 12/04/2007, -0/+010 Million emails is more than 23 minutes of tape.
- mllawso, on 12/04/2007, -1/+1Am I the only one who doesn't like that show?
- misfit410, on 12/04/2007, -4/+1we lose 10 million a day here, it's called Spam.
Funny people are using Hillary's COC line, still waiting for her to find the Rose lawfirm documents she lost. - inactive, on 12/04/2007, -7/+1So... do tell us where we can read Ron Paul emails. Not holding my breath. Ron Paul is all talk and no deed.
