- JlmAWP, on 01/31/2008, -15/+823I hate how McCain smirks. I just wanna slap him.
- kaelyiesta, on 01/31/2008, -20/+767Anyone else feel dirty after seeing Romney grinning?
- Conway, on 01/31/2008, -17/+633NO way in hell am I voting for McCain or Romney. Smug arseholes.
- RPliberty, on 01/31/2008, -12/+473The economy needs major surgery not a 150 billion dollar bandaid.
- TheTaoOfBill, on 01/31/2008, -12/+460I love how arrogant Romney came off on the would Reagan endorse you. "Absolutely"
Yeah real easy to claim he would endorse you when he's dead. Ron Paul and Huckabee gave the best answers for the question. How can they claim a dead man would endorse them.
You might as well ask them if Jesus would endorse them. - davidg11, on 01/31/2008, -11/+436You know Ron Paul did his best performance when he addressed the pettiness of CNN and Romney and McCain all in one shot. He said basically they both agreed to be in the war, so who gives a rats ass about timetables and semantics. The issue should be FOREIGN POLICY. That's what Ron needs to do...attack those two playground bullies with something they both don't have: intellect.
- koicho, on 01/31/2008, -24/+396Why was NONE of that shown in the coverage?!? Seriously... if you got nothing to hide, then why are you hiding it?!
- manstein01, on 01/31/2008, -14/+341Paul is just making way too much sense to ever be elected.
"It's not the President's job to manage the economy." I could feel people's heads explode that statement. - TheWorkz, on 01/31/2008, -11/+294Why is it that the two people who are least sleezy are the ones who got the least airtime? I watched this last night and was really disappointed that they screwed Paul and Huckabee over by giving them roughly 10 minutes a piece in a 1 hour 30 minute debate. It really says a lot...
- THE4IRON, on 01/31/2008, -8/+245I can't say that I am a big Paul supporter, but 1 thing's for sure. If anything came out of that debate it was a pure display of arrogance by Romney and McCain. I will never vote for either one of them.
...Shame on CNN. - JFallon126, on 01/31/2008, -12/+245He just makes so much ***** SENSE.
- Goodanswer, on 01/31/2008, -12/+242My summation, John smirked too much because he doesn't have any real idea what is going on.
Huckabee was his usual self
Romney spent WAYYY too much time in the Tanning Bed instead of learning that our foreign policy is a disaster.( and he doesnt have a clue either)
Paul was again on target. A little wobbly getting his words out, but he was much better this time than last time He is understandable if you have an IQ greater than a gopher. - stealthrocket, on 01/31/2008, -8/+168I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'm convinced that the other Rep candidates got together and made a deal to chuckle and smirk whenever Paul talks in order to make him seem ridiculous. Either that or they're getting the same advice from their advisors. They know a lot of people agree with what he says and he's dangerous to them. If they can make him seem ridiculous people will start thinking he is. Perception is reality.
- brianfellow, on 01/31/2008, -13/+164Cooper said in the start that there were no rules. Just don't take too much time. So he cuts off Paul after 0:09. Just as he is going to explain his choice for a Supreme court nominee.....///// "Senator McCain" When we get down to just Paul and McCain there will be a debate with 1.8 hrs of McCain and .2 for Paul. Watch Paul eat up the free air time (limited as it is) and then, once he uses them as he needs, will go independent and kick some CFR ass!!
- Kennoad, on 01/31/2008, -15/+162Tighten up America. Vote Ron Paul
- GoKings, on 01/31/2008, -5/+137McCain came off like a real jackass in this debate (even moreso than normal) That spat with Romney about timetables made him look like a jackass, and a liar. (Once again, even moreso than normal)
- Ragecloak, on 01/31/2008, -4/+135Someone call a doctor!
- IHaveIssues, on 01/31/2008, -9/+139He makes the others look stupid.
- chris9902, on 01/31/2008, -6/+125He smirks because he doesn't understand what's going on.
- dogster, on 01/31/2008, -13/+131If Ron Paul is not the nominee, I will write him in. I will vote democrat against my warmongering GOP congressman.
- turbotrauma, on 01/31/2008, -11/+125Ron Paul is truly the only hope we have, if you put him up against the other candidates he is absolutely the most intelligent of the bunch. If we do not get Ron Paul voted in, we deserve to go down. I absolutely HATE the media after seeing what they are doing to this man, it's pathetic.
- themastersb, on 01/31/2008, -5/+116It's like having an uncle that has raped you and he stares across the dinner table at me and grins.
- RipeVideos, on 01/31/2008, -14/+120That is an inspiring series of clips.
- TomK88, on 01/31/2008, -5/+103I agree. They just look like little kids there. Whether you agree with your opposition or not, give them the respect they deserve.
- insinuate, on 01/31/2008, -12/+107I was so proud that I was able to shake that man's hand. He is a true American.
- Rex1209, on 01/31/2008, -19/+114If only it would end up Obama vs. Paul, as far as im concerned thats a win win.
- chrisk9, on 01/31/2008, -3/+91For the full debate:
Part 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DH9NMrjgERw&feature ...
Part 2 to 9 - look at the other submissions from the same user - jasej1, on 01/31/2008, -16/+102Please please... I hope Ron Paul comes ahead on Super Tuesday
- gregm11, on 01/31/2008, -3/+88so refreshing to see Ghouliani absent.
- soccermom971, on 01/31/2008, -13/+95Hundreds of thousands of Ron Paul supporters would disagree with you. We should allow all candidates to argue their positions. We, as Americans have the amazing opportunity to choose our own leaders. Lets take that responsibility seriously and listen to all the ideas, then decide. What you are suggesting is censorship and it is very unamerican. We shouldn't let America's media decide who will be our president. Be informed, research issues. Pick the best candidate for the job - not the one the media supports.
- inactive, on 01/31/2008, -4/+86These people are so indoctrinated that the President and the federal government are all-powerful, all-providing, that they have NO idea what individual responsibility is--let alone how to apply that concept to other facets of life.
- commiecat, on 01/31/2008, -1/+79I found myself changing channels because I couldn't stand the babying between McCain and Romney. I'm glad Ron Paul called them on their childishness. I really don't like Huckabee's platform at all, but him and Ron Paul were the best speakers and it's a shame that they're the ones getting the least airtime.
At one point during the whole "McCain -- do you think Romney would be a good Commander In Chief / Romeny -- do you think McCain would be good at fixing the economy" banter, you could clearly see Ron Paul raising his hand to get in a comment. As the moderators paused and appeared to be giving him a chance, they instead offered the floor for McCain's final rebuttal. Off to the side I saw Ron Paul throw his hands up in the air quite deliberately and look to Huckabee like, "Man, WTF?". Huckabee gave a nod as if saying "Yeah, this is total *****". I replayed that like 10 times for my wife. Indicative of how they've treated him this whole campaign. - Tenetri, on 01/31/2008, -17/+95I wanna know why 90% of the Ron Paul videos thats being posted gets buried. I've seen atleast 4 in the past month that get 100 diggs, and disappear for some reason.
Either Digg sold their souls, or we got some ObamaBotsNets running around mass burying stories... or I am a psychopath.. *shrug* - SauceSpot, on 01/31/2008, -10/+86i'm glad theres only 4 left, gives paul a chance to voice his position much better without all the noise
- ThinkTank360, on 01/31/2008, -13/+78If it is a slam dunk in the woods and no one is around to hear it, is it really a slam dunk?
- mattewood, on 01/31/2008, -14/+75Wicked awesome! The guy is a genius!
Go America, the rest of the world is gunnin for ya! Do the right thang! - rz8472, on 01/31/2008, -4/+63You are mistaken sir.
Jesus DID endorse Huckabee in a phone call. Don't you remember? - tillerman00, on 01/31/2008, -8/+65Maybe he'd learn some humility if he got thrown back into a "gook" prison.
You'd think a former POW would be the last guy to be espousing a hundred-year war. *****. - flashfox, on 01/31/2008, -3/+60not to mention Mccain's chuckle
- swazo, on 01/31/2008, -6/+62least sleezy? I'd say trying to amend the constitution to be more like the bible is fairly sleezy.
- FredFredrickson, on 01/31/2008, -20/+74I feel dirty whenever I spend more than a few seconds watching any of these conservative ***** pretending like that actually give a ***** about the country.
- Makaveli, on 01/31/2008, -4/+58I Thought I was the only one
- NikoKun, on 01/31/2008, -3/+57Almost everyone cept Ron, had such smug looking evil grins.... Jesus... it's scary to think one of them will be president...
Still, here's to hopping Ron wins. - Servebot, on 01/31/2008, -11/+58i agree... with the exception of RP
- sgtpppr, on 01/31/2008, -2/+49Man, something about McCain and Romney's super smug pseudo-smile when other candidates talk... Ole Rudy was like the master of it. It makes them look like they're mocking the person talking. As if what they're saying is so ridiculous it makes them laugh. I'm still waiting for McCain to tell someone to "***** off" during a debate and/or punch someone.
- pilotss, on 01/31/2008, -6/+51The last thing corporate America wants is a free economy. Insurance and Health care companies would be doomed. Maybe its time to start a new US.
- FTLJohnson, on 01/31/2008, -4/+47Well, that and the fact that the Libertarian/Republican campaign staff, and Ron Paul himself, is so goddamn socially unaware that he doesn't seem to have the wits to ADDRESS IT by maybe making an offhand comment like "People in government that sit around with a goofy grin on their faces while the dollar is falling apart show how little they know about economic policy and really reveal to this country how self interested, and possibly even lazy they are. It's not hard to understand that free markets bring prosperity, and that business is what generates money for the people of this country, not taxes. Taxes and regulations make people poorer, and inflation is choking our economy, and I would hope that those who are in office or running for office would approach that issue deadly seriously."
Then let the camera pan over to their stupid faces.
.... but Sorry guys... this isn't Michael Badnarik... It's Ron Paul. I'm voting for him, but I'm certainly not thrilled with his performance. - treed, on 01/31/2008, -0/+44That's part of not managing the economy. If you have a fiat currency, you *have* to set rates.
- strafefire, on 01/31/2008, -2/+45Kucinich vs. Paul would have better IMHO, but...
- swaddict, on 01/31/2008, -2/+43True, unfortunately, this is what it takes to grab the attention of people in this age. He would have fared much better before television, when most communication was in print. I have always believed that he lacked the ability to grab people emotionally. I still support him, though, hoping that the right person out there with the same ideas and more electability see all his support, and thinks maybe I could do it.
He's not just a man, he is an idea, a symbol. -
