- Michael9636, on 08/04/2008, -10/+287Wow. This is amazing. I can't believe I'm watching this on CNN. Blunt, to the point, and brutally honest. Thanks for posting this!
- redcolumbine, on 04/12/2008, -14/+177My goodness! Do I hear a tide turning?
- MindyB, on 04/12/2008, -12/+163C'mon, any idiot could see that both McCain and Clinton really blew it on this one. Nothing about Obama's comments were insulting or offensive to anybody. I am a Pennsylvanian and what he said is true to reality, he actually gets it. It is clear that neither Clinton nor McCain get what issues actually matter to regular Americans, they are so far removed that they think that despite the economy, loss of jobs to outsourcing, the housing and education crisis that we should be acting like happy idiots. The ones who are insulting our intelligence are Clinton and McCain and their stupid statements.
I think since both Clinton & McCain campaigns are facing financial problems, they must have had a campaign merger and are now sharing political strategists which is why their stupid messages on this were virtually identical. The new merger is called the Clinton/McCain Campaign for President. So now that we know for sure that the Clinton campaign is just an arm of the McCain campaign, can we now get on with the Real Presidential Race? - jbdobd, on 04/12/2008, -9/+134Wow, this from the Clinton News Network? wow.
- dBass, on 04/12/2008, -7/+120CNN calling a spade a spade. I had to do a quick gravity check when I saw that one! CNN, please keep up the journalism thing; who knows, maybe you'll start to like it.
- FiestyPumpkin, on 04/12/2008, -10/+112Simply unbelievable! Those two should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves as they are clearly the ones who have no idea how we feel.
- silverkitty, on 04/12/2008, -5/+101As a 60-something Pennsylvanian, we need leaders who are willing to tell the TRUTH. I know, I know, my 91-yr old father just shrugs and says "politics" -- we've been conditioned to expect anything BUT the truth from our bosses, economic and political. Go OBAMA, and hurrah, the "old" CNN (Ted Turner) that challenged "news-as-usual" a long time ago is maybe coming back!
- vacasmagras, on 04/12/2008, -4/+74Just like his race speech, Obama gets criticized for speaking truthfully about painful situations in our society. I love Obama's response to the Clinton/McCain folks:
“No, I’m in touch,” Mr. Obama said. “I know exactly what’s going on. I know what’s going on in Pennsylvania, I know what’s going on in Indiana, I know what’s going on in Illinois. People are fed up, they’re angry, they’re frustrated, they’re bitter and they want to see a change in Washington. That’s why I’m running for president of the United States of America.” - More4, on 04/12/2008, -2/+62It's time for Senator Tanya Harding to put away her tire iron & go home
- plughmike, on 04/12/2008, -5/+62Way to go athomeboy2000. You are on top of these clips like flies on John McCain.
- HellDonut, on 04/12/2008, -6/+56It's really painful to see the lengths to which Hillary is going to spin what happens. Someone once said Politics is like high school drama, just in a much bigger scale... according to Hillary Clinton's tactics, however, Politics is more like Nursery drama, with kids constantly defying logic to come up with arguments.
Hillary, if you won't start acting like a real Presidential candidate, just drop this already. - JlmAWP, on 04/12/2008, -3/+34The tide turned a while ago, they just didn't realize it.
- jedmed, on 04/12/2008, -4/+33Do you want to know what the voters of Pennsylvania, including the Hillary supporters, really feel about Hillary's comments?
Watch the video. Pay particular attention to the expressions of the young black woman in the hooded red sweatshirt directly behind Hillary's head.
Spontaneous, honest and transparent. - sunaeryn, on 04/12/2008, -8/+30Hillary called out for the opportunistic sychofantish politician she is
- Jeps, on 04/12/2008, -5/+25Good for the Situation Room too bad that right after this on Lou Dobbs Tonight they spent the majority of the program discrediting Obama.
- poxonyou, on 04/12/2008, -1/+21These are not the official CNN political pundits, who usually tend to side with Clinton or McCain. Tobin is the political, or general, law guy. Cafferty is the grumpy old man, and the 3rd lady, well, not sure.
Blitzer was typical CNN though. Getting all excited about the angry quote he read against Obama, barely breaking out of his usual monotone. Not agreeing at all with the other 3 at any point. - Deodrus, on 04/12/2008, -1/+20I wish that you'd hit the ground a lot harder when your mother dropped you headfirst as a kid.
- Gabberwok, on 04/12/2008, -6/+24That was a thing of beauty...
- mimigins, on 04/12/2008, -2/+18The two guys to the right of her start shaking their heads as she's talking. It's great.
- solesoul, on 04/12/2008, -0/+15Best. Comparison. Ever.
- inactive, on 04/12/2008, -4/+19You go into these urban neighborhoods in New York and, like a lot of areas in major cities, the welfare has been drying up now for 15 years and no new government program has replaced it… Each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna stop relying on government handouts and regenerate and they have not......... And it’s not surprising when they get bitter, they cling to gangs or victim hood or drugs, guns or radical religions, or antipathy to people who aren’t like them and conspiracy theories as a way to explain their frustrations.
- Gabberwok, on 04/12/2008, -4/+18To CNN's credit, most of the other anchors on the network also think Dobbs is nuts. They only keep him because apparently there are a lot of other nuts who tune in for his show.
- nixr, on 04/12/2008, -5/+19CNN has had what alcoholics refer to as a "moment of clarity".

- MacEnvy, on 04/12/2008, -1/+14Go to his website and read the "Blueprint For Change". It's an organized compilation of his specific programs and policy changes, as outlined in many, many speeches. I can't schedule him in for a private session to answer your questions, so take a little initiative and look for yourself.
- Kautylia, on 04/12/2008, -1/+14I have no idea why people think CNN is biased towards Clinton. It just isn't true.
- Light0, on 04/12/2008, -0/+12Cafferty says it like it ***** is. hell yes.
- MoofTheStoof, on 04/12/2008, -2/+14Ignoring the rest of that steaming pile, I find it very telling that you called Michelle his "ugly, Black wife." It's a rhetorical tactic to put things in proximity when you want to conflate them. Whether you think that black people are ugly or you're trying to convince us that they are, neither reflects well upon you.
- theaceoffire, on 04/12/2008, -0/+12I know, if I insult him, it makes the stuff go away!
Brilliant! - rastap, on 04/12/2008, -0/+12Ok, now that is just stupid.
- oseik, on 04/12/2008, -4/+16The video of Obama's response to these attacks (originally posted by athomeboy2000 from another digg thread on the subject) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sc9PepjyDow
- gsadamb, on 04/12/2008, -3/+14If you're gonna use quotation marks, that means you're quoting him. But I guess apparently honesty isn't important to you.
"You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them...And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.
And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."
If someone said that people in cities often become frustrated and turn to drug use, no one would have anything to say about that. - solesoul, on 04/12/2008, -0/+11Bye. Tell the Brazilians we're sorry.
- mh732, on 04/12/2008, -0/+11hahaha. he's old.
- DocDEB, on 04/12/2008, -0/+11I'm supposed to believe that someone who made > 100 million last year is in touch with the middle and less class. I'd bet the last time Hillary was in a grocery store to shop for food was more than 30 years ago. Same for McSame. The Hilary and McSame campaigns think that the people they want to vote for them are just stupid.
- alwor, on 04/12/2008, -2/+12True. But the media's eagerness to stick to the superficial parts that supposedly could make it seem like a controversy is not to be underestimated. For them it's not about getting the truth out but keeping the stories rollin'. So much the better from CNN to bury this as controversy.
- poxonyou, on 04/12/2008, -1/+11It's the Old White Nutcases demographic, same people who keep O'Reilly on the air.
- theaceoffire, on 04/12/2008, -7/+17Looking at your history, I see you have copied/pasted this at least 9 times so far.
I am going to bury you and report you for spam.
Have a good day. - poxonyou, on 04/12/2008, -3/+13Pennsylvanian or not, you're a fool if you think Clinton or McCain are more in touch with working people than Obama. Always how it seems to work though. Either the working class love being poor, completely believe in politicians, have no hard feelings about their situation, and continue to vote for Republicans and pro-NAFTA, anti-union Democrats like Clinton, or what Obama said is exactly correct.
- deadlyrice, on 04/12/2008, -0/+10Good bye. The country is a better place without you. I would just feel bad for the Brazilians.
- Deodrus, on 04/12/2008, -0/+10I wish that you'd hit the ground a lot harder when your mother dropped you headfirst as a kid.
(since u double-post your comments, here is my double-posted reply to you) - worthone, on 04/12/2008, -1/+11Are you kidding me? Go to barackobama.com and check his plan for yourself. Everything is under the category 'Issues'.
- qwerter, on 04/12/2008, -3/+13It's McCain and Clinton who are acting like the elitists here, by spoon feeding their constituents more false spin and pretending they're too ignorant to understand what Obama really said.
- mal1964, on 04/12/2008, -1/+10Stirring the pot for ratings just in time for Pennsylvania.
- rationalist, on 04/12/2008, -0/+8What Obama said was in support of working people in Pennsylvania. That is, if you bothered to actually read or listen to the full quote. He was saying that working class Pennsylvanians were *not* racist or hateful or inherently xenophobic, but rather that is it a natural human tendency to become angry and seek an outlet for that anger, when the rich and powerful folks in DC screw you over.
I know, asking you to actually read the actual quote rather than mindlessly regurgitate talking points from talk radio is too much to ask of a potential voter these days. What is worse, Obama does not condescend to voters and actually dares to use multisyllabic words and articulate complex concepts in his speeches. What a doofus. - theaceoffire, on 04/12/2008, -0/+8Let's seeeee... According to ArizonaJosie, Copy and Paste = good idea!
- poxonyou, on 04/12/2008, -0/+7Hey grand dad. Didn't know you used Digg. I'm coming over with the family this weekend.
- pixelate, on 04/12/2008, -3/+10I wouldn't celebrate yet... they were saying something completely different yesterday:
