- brentinkc, on 11/11/2007, -38/+366Wait a tic here. CNN is covering Ron Paul, but all the Ron Paul articles are being CENSORED from Digg?
What the ***** is going on? - GA16Lucino, on 11/11/2007, -16/+297Donated!
I look forward to seeing the media try to spin the "internet spammers" line into this one.
"yes, we've just gotten word that spammers are sending money that was made out of thin air ... just like the fed does!!!!" - DeviantDragon, on 11/11/2007, -17/+262You know sometimes the Ron Paul stories are spam and not newsworthy. It's okay to bury those. It's NOT okay, however, to be doing blanket buries of Ron Paul especially when there is significant news being made. This is such a story, people who blindly bury are just as bad as those that blindly digg and submit.
- inactive, on 11/08/2007, -18/+187The $3 million dollar bomb.
As of 5:48pm EST the money bomb went nuclear with $3,000,945
It's only $100,000 short for the record for this election season of $3.1 million and people on the West coast haven't started heading home from work yet. - 1town, on 11/07/2007, -13/+169They are not being censored, they are being buried by the anti-ron paul people
- BlackJackJester, on 11/07/2007, -8/+162To : Ron Paul

Hope it helps - inactive, on 11/06/2007, -4/+146Congratulations! When nobody's talking about you on Digg, but you're on CNN.. You have graduated to FIRST TIER!
- dukeeeey, on 11/11/2007, -21/+155I'll keep digging these stories until one makes it on the front page. I've never seen stories buried like this, it's quite amazing.
- UtopiaInTheSky, on 11/10/2007, -4/+131What?! I thought it was just a bunch of internet pranksters spamming their internet polls?! Oh, nope... Guess they are real people. Oops!
- elleanee, on 11/08/2007, -11/+134Wahoo! It's almost 7 pm EST and we've raised over $3.2 million today! This is absolutely a blast! Let's do this again. Thank you, Trevor.
- theshizzler, on 11/08/2007, -7/+120Man, seeing this on the news just gave me a big smile.
- LordSkywalker, on 11/06/2007, -12/+114Sweet. It just passed the $6,000,000 mark. Strong support no doubt.
- jmpeagle, on 11/08/2007, -19/+118why bother putting anumber in the title? The number is constantly in flux and is already at 5,804,000+ at the time I am writing thi comment a few minutes after you posted this story.
quarterly counter is here:
http://www.ronpaul2008.com/ - jmpeagle, on 11/06/2007, -10/+106bad idea, the goal of Ron Paul's campaign isn't to annoy people
- Netzorro, on 11/09/2007, -4/+9865 year old Vietnam vet here, donated my monthly disability check today. I figure the country is in worse shape than I am, so I gave it to Dr. Paul to heal our Country. Dig deep people! 60,000 died in Nam (undeclared), lets stop this war before the Neo-Cons let 60,000 die in this (undeclared) war.
FREEDOM is POPULAR. - strOphe, on 11/12/2007, -5/+97I just gave him another $50 and I didn't even know about this thing until now! Good lord, I've given $100 to a politician! What is this world coming to?
- ahawks, on 11/07/2007, -5/+83I cannot say how proud and happy it makes me to know that $100 was once mine, and is now his.
- manmademark, on 11/06/2007, -3/+74Wow, I donated to a cause.... that's a first.
- faithfreedom, on 11/12/2007, -0/+69Where's Fox News? Ron Paul is a Republican candidate, after all.
- MioTheGreat, on 11/06/2007, -1/+68He's a republican. He's not a neocon. Fox only touts the GOP because it seems to be full of a lot of those crazy neocons.
- Ghoztt, on 11/09/2007, -6/+70Remember remember the 5th of November!
Time for e rEVOLution!!!!! - Novion76, on 11/06/2007, -8/+72I'm a fan as well, but while the bury brigade is childish, so is spamming. It's one thing to spread the word, and it's another to spam.
- iericg, on 11/10/2007, -9/+73Finally on the FRONT PAGE!!! Did we actually win?
- ticklemyego, on 11/09/2007, -2/+64ive never donated or voted for anyone since I've been eligible to vote. Two-time Iraq vet, I just donated what I could to the effort. I will do more next pay check.
Veterans For Paul - orxor, on 11/09/2007, -1/+62This has been the first donation that I've ever made to a politician. Never thought that it would happen.
- cnot3, on 11/09/2007, -11/+69Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous.
Don't ***** with liberty! - cnot3, on 11/08/2007, -2/+593,154,540 so far today, beat Romney's douche ass.
- mediaspree, on 11/06/2007, -3/+57He tried to do it right there, "Are these PLEDGES?"
- spin77, on 11/06/2007, -3/+57wow, there are some well funded spam bots out there....
- scottmc, on 11/09/2007, -10/+633200+ diggs and not on the front page...
http://www.digg.com/2008_us_elections/DROP_THE_RON ... - NightVortez, on 11/06/2007, -9/+62There wouldn't be any duplicates at all if the original story that has got 3k diggs would stay on the front page like it should have.
- EvanVolm, on 11/06/2007, -1/+54As soon as the frontpage loaded and I saw this story, "Bring the boys back from" by Pink Floyd started to play on the radio. Also, I've finally donated to his campaign today. Ron Paul 2008.
- senatebuddy, on 11/06/2007, -3/+56$6,252,755.89 as of 8:08. ***** Amazing
- janeuner, on 11/12/2007, -6/+58I can see the headlines now: "Crazy Ron Paul Supporters Want to Blow Up Capitol Building"
Because that explanation makes a far better soundbite than the truth. - pricees, on 11/06/2007, -1/+50We have nothing to fear except for supposed spambots with boatloads of cash.
- geometry, on 11/06/2007, -1/+48Next it will be that internet geeks are using stolen credit cards to fund Ron Paul.
- kennethellis, on 11/08/2007, -1/+47I just re-registered and changed my party affiliation to Republican so I can vote for Ron Paul in the primaries. (Had someone suggested a year ago that I might be a Republican in 2008 I would have laughed at them, but here I am...) I also just donated $500. It's been a very long time since I believed in a candidate enough to donate my hard earned cash. I don't necessarily agree with what a few of Ron Paul's other supporters have to say, since he seems to be drawing support from a wide spectrum of people, but that's ok -- I'm not voting for them, I'm voting for him. Unlike most of the other politicians running the man has principles and more importantly, he has the voting record to prove it on the really important issues that I care about.
- MindTrigger, on 11/09/2007, -3/+47It's Official...
I have, for the first time in my life, donated money to a politician. Even got a screen shot of my name showing up on the donation counter at Paul's website. :)
I want to say that I do not agree with ALL of Ron Paul's positions. What I do agree with is that it's time to reign this government in. I want them out of my life as much as possible, and I want them to stop policing the world. Ron Paul is not going to fix all of our problems, and his political agenda is probably NOT a silver bullet for all that ails this country. The problem is bigger than one president, but we have to start somewhere, and that start as far as I can tell, has to be with yanking the leash back on these bastards. After this is done, we can look for the next president to evolve us to the next level.
Good Luck, Dr. Paul. - jynweythek, on 09/17/2008, -2/+45awesome, this made it to the front page. hope it keeps up against the anti-paul bury brigade.
- JackHorner, on 11/06/2007, -2/+45I donated 100 at midnight, come on people lets change this country.
- xuanyan, on 11/06/2007, -9/+51lol...if the stories weren't being buried as fast as they are being submitted, there would be far fewer duplicates.
- cv6nick, on 11/06/2007, -2/+42I donated $100.
- raiderj, on 11/08/2007, -11/+51This one is getting censored too, and it's referencing CNN! WTF?
- Reese268, on 11/09/2007, -2/+42and the funds continue to pour in, we're on track to be at a total of $7 million for the quarter by midnight.
- sockpuppets, on 11/09/2007, -2/+41I didn't realize they were mutually exclusive.
- SiegeX, on 11/09/2007, -3/+42I wish I had known 2 days ago this was happening as I already donated $100. But since this day has the potential to make a point I decided to donate another $200. This is the first and only candidate that I have ever felt strong enough to put my money where my mouth is, I advise others to do so as well. Now is the time!
- tuxidomasx, on 11/06/2007, -5/+43awesome. when's the next bomb? it was kinda fun.
i wanna donate again (not this month tho, i got video games to buy). - tuxidomasx, on 11/06/2007, -0/+37and also the whole "we cant confirm these numbers until the quarterly FEC filings at the end of the year...etc"
- sockpuppets, on 11/09/2007, -1/+37When you're tazed by the cops and lying in a gutter drooling don't come back whining about it.
