- theNazz, on 10/11/2007, -7/+35Wake me when something actually leads to an arrest of a high ranking Bush Administration official.
- Ianki, on 10/11/2007, -1/+19Shouldn't they instead be angry that we have secret CIA prisons in Europe?
- crichton101, on 10/11/2007, -2/+15What's the point? The entire conservative media and members of government will say no crime was actually committed and denounce it as the left grasping for straws, and then Bush will just commute that persons sentence. Hell, we could convict Bush of treason, and he would still try and pardon himself.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+12At least this proves that not EVERYONE in the government is evil, only the ones who call the shots
- physphd, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Classifying a human right violations does not make it legal, just as following orders to commit said atrocities is no defense against prosecution.
- DiggChainey, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Rumsfeld should be jail.. Where did the 3 TRILLION dollars go that he bilked out of tax paying citizens?
http://xoinks.com/mov/view_video.php?viewkey=06d21bdfe2a15359b727 - robbh66, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6So.... the high level Bush official does something good (helps uncover secret CIA prisons) and you can say is to wake you when a high ranking Bush Administration official is arrested?
You do realize that the high ranking bush administration official in this story is Rumsfeld and the DCI doesn't fall into the president's cabinet? - Junkyarddawg, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Maybe because you don't know that many, quite possibly the majority, of supposed terrorists in US custody are innocent.
- swrostmore, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Rumsfeld has a third nipple
- Junkyarddawg, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Rumsfeld and Cheney have fought a long "war" against the CIA, which they considered too soft on the enemy and unreliable, while large parts of the CIA considered the Bush administration to give unlawful orders, and they were pissed off about the secret parallel "dirtier" CIA created by Rumsfeld and Cheney and answering only to them, the OSP.
The "war" between the administration and CIA culminated during the 2004 presidential campaign, when CIA officers leaked damaging information about Bush, e.g. regarding his military service, to the press. After the 2004 election the administration fired pretty much the entire upper- and mid-level leadership of the CIA, severely impacting the efficiency of the organization, and replaced with Bush loyalists who were less unwilling to break the law without a court order, and more willing to keep quiet about it.
I don't think it's much of a stretch to think that this story is more fallout from the Bush administrations "war" with its own Central Intelligence Agency.
As an aside, does anyone know what happened to the OSP? Supposedly it was joined with the CIA, but I heard yesterday that there are still black ops commandos who identify themselves as working directly for the Department of Defence. - n00854180t, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Meh, I'm sure Rumsfeld is guilty of oodles of crimes just like the rest of the Bush admin. One mildly good act of integrity on his part changes nothing, though I do acknowledge (with shock) that this is pretty cool of him.
- anarchytv, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6once the CIA captured the white house, by putting its head CIA man george bush sr. in office... the game was all over. i thought you guys were pretty damn F*ing stupid to put a hollywood actor into office, but a CIA man... god lord, were you totally off your rocker and insane??? or is everbody just clueless and dumb as a rock. then, of all things, you voted his son into office, who was a complete boob. i mean, he had no qualifications or credentials at all. *my 2 cents*
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4THIS JUST IN: Dissident ex-CIA agents gone missing.
(Maybe you shouldn't ***** with the CIA, being that they have secret European prisons.) - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5I am just wondering how much more ***** the American people are going to take before we get fed up with this garbage? As far as I am concerned we are already looking at grounds for a revolution as the declaration of independence directly states that when a government becomes destructive the people should remove it.
- n00854180t, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4He also has some sort of estate in another country (I forget which, I read the article a long ass time ago) which has agreed to give him immunity from trial at the Hague. Utter *****.
- DiggMasterJ, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3It wasn't Rummy, it clearly says someone who was angry at Rummy did the leaking. RTA.
- Habemus, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5Yawn. The CIA has been waging a covert war on the Pentagon for a long time.

Nothing new here. - Bayman, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2It wouldn't hurt to use some prepositions in your title...
- Ianki, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Opps, Title needs at least a comma in there somewhere. Misread it. Of course they are angry. Who wouldn't be.
- sodade, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2The value proposition for secrecy is simply not worth it in the long run. We need to outlaw all govt secrets. Period.
- Habemus, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Three.
- sodade, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2great rebuttal jackass. If you think that Digg is full of morons, WTF are you doing here?
- thcobbs, on 10/11/2007, -3/+4So.... it's OK for people you AGREE with to divulge classified information... but not ok for the the ones you DON'T AGREE with?
- gmillerd, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1The DoJ makes the arrests and does the investigations, so your right.
- n00854180t, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1You win Digg.
- bromac, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1What, Manifest Destiny?
That's soooo 1812. - anachronaut, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Belgium...? Try Uruguay.
http://dallaspeacecenter.org/node/1570 - swrostmore, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2LOL I know exactly what article you think you are replying to
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1There's a difference between bringing a human rights abuse to light and naming an active duty CIA agent to ruin her and her husbands career for personal gain and if you can't see that then you're stupid.
- robbh66, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1You're right. I completely misread the title.
I am an idiot. Tired :/ - TruthWillWin, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1propaganda for sure.
"Rummy did really good things for the truth"- garbage - kuzotz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1we do have a winner.
- jthill, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I think they are, even now, due a little more respect than that. Impeaching them both will do just fine.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Then cut the fence and let the cows out.
- sodade, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1here's hoping that YOU will be the first against the wall...
- insonh, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1So let me see if I got this straight CIA officers helped uncover their own secret prisons? Are they saying they didn’t know about them? No wonder no one believes the CIA information
that's like saying McDonalds uncovers the fact that their food is fattening - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Belgium
- bromac, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1What, Manifest Destiny?
That's soooo 1812. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Stopped reading @ "European Probe"
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2The courts are ***** up. Bomby McJihad—if tried in our normal justice system—would probably get off because the glove didn't fit the jury should acquit. I like the idea of secret prisons. More efficient.
- bromac, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1What, Manifest Destiny?
That's soooo 1812. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1nothing actually will happen. Much noise about nothing
- bobbknight, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2These traitors should be drawn, quartered, hung, shot, poisoned, fed to a garbage shredder, and burned. Then their ashes placed in a pit so that we can piss on them.
- phatt-matt, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Is anyone in the least bit upset that CIA officers would reveal secrets for political gain?
- primeguy, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Title of article angers me help w/English language needed Ron Paul
- syroncoda, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2haha thats great. i respect a woman who's comfortable with her quirks. makes them so much hotter :D
- kuzotz, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1remind me not to go to that country anymore.. and I had so much respect for it. Man I can't believe I use to live there... oh well.. I lived almost all over europe.
- Alpione, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0In a land of morons (Digg,) this might be the most moronic statement ever made...
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+3***** traitors. Losing sight of the big big picture.
- robwhite1979, on 10/11/2007, -6/+3Makes you wonder how many European spy agencies have secret prisons in America. Think about that for a second skippy.

What is Digg?
