- frankwit, on 03/25/2008, -11/+214I may end up buried for this but here goes:
I am a fervent Obama Supporter and I cringe when I see people refer to the other candidate as whore, bitch etc... I really don't think that helps the cause at all whatsoever.
/2 cents - JlmAWP, on 03/25/2008, -5/+138It's funny how us Internet people wait to see how long it will take the MSM to bring things like this to light. This was a good move by CBS. 'Bout time this she got caught flat-out lying.
Sorry, I think I just misspoke...3 entire sentences. - NoDrama, on 03/25/2008, -3/+102Hillary did NOT have sniper relations with those Bosnians.
- frankwit, on 03/25/2008, -7/+101Got Unelectable?
- ZandorMonkeyBoy, on 03/25/2008, -3/+89HRC: "There were snipers"
Spinmeister: "She meant snipers in the area"
HRC: "There was no welcoming ceremony"
Spinmeister: "Umm.... Can we get back to you after we've made something up that will pass the smell test?" - zelig, on 03/25/2008, -4/+71Ouch. stick (another) fork in Hillary's campaign.
- inactive, on 03/25/2008, -3/+66Well, that scared the crap out of me. I saw the words "exposed" and "Hillary Clinton," and my mind went to a very, very bad place.
- ZandorMonkeyBoy, on 03/25/2008, -2/+64I guess she thought nobody was going to remember 12 years ago and go back through old videotapes?
Every person yet to cast a vote needs to be sent a link to this footage. - junkwheel, on 03/25/2008, -1/+56"When she said there was fire she meant that there was fire in the hillside"
YES. Because snipers are well known to fire at the hillside. They also tend to specifically target the hillside when there is a visiting First Lady. Sometimes they go crazy by shouting out '***** Shrubbery!', giving away their positions. - actorboy, on 03/25/2008, -3/+53Let's hope Hillary gets more heat for the things she said than Obama got for the things someone else said.
- christianboutin, on 03/25/2008, -4/+45Now hold on there, I'm sure Clinton would make an excellent president... IN HER IMAGINATION.
- wild, on 03/25/2008, -1/+36I hope your comment ends up with the most diggs in this thread. I have zero respect for Hillary anymore, but when you take the conversation to such barbarian levels of communication, nobody looks good.
- wild, on 03/25/2008, -1/+34Ok, fine, so you say there was sniper fire in the hills. That doesn't explain away "no greeting ceremony" and "had to run to our cars."
- kamel, on 03/25/2008, -6/+37Got experience?
No. - clc101, on 03/25/2008, -1/+31man i dont trust her one bit!
- sharpfork, on 03/25/2008, -1/+30Seems like her selective memory always slants in a politically advantageous way for her: not supporting NAFTA, bringing a peace agreement to Ireland, going into Bosnia like Rambo... But she isn't lying, she is misremembering...
- TheVigilante, on 03/25/2008, -23/+49I'll just do a quick summation of my thoughts after watching this video:
Lying whore!
Obama > Clinton - tjlyttle, on 03/25/2008, -1/+26does it sicken anyone else that one of our elected politicians can make a complete bold-faced lie and they haven't resigned out of shame or were forced out of the election?
It doesn't bother me so much when politicians make promises they can't keep, I'm used to that. What bothers me is the obvious lack of respect she has for the office she is running for, and the country she is representing. If she makes it to the DNC I'll know something is seriously wrong with politics in this country. - trippinlikegod, on 03/25/2008, -1/+25Yeah that woman was so full of *****. How do you get in front of a camera and blatantly lie like that... oh yeah money, almost forgot.
- pidge, on 03/25/2008, -2/+24I am not a Democrat but I don't understand how so many Democrats can believe over and over and over and over and over...................................and over and over again the lies from Hillary Clinton. It is always the same pattern. Hillary makes a false claim and is called on it, then she claims she is being attacked only because she is a woman or because it is a right wing conspiracy or because or her opponent is going negative. Come on. How in the world can you vote for someone like her?
- SirMolle, on 03/25/2008, -4/+25Dear Hillary,
You got "Knocked the F*** OUT!" ;) - Charlotte_Web, on 03/25/2008, -1/+21Well said.
- adrianmonk, on 03/25/2008, -1/+20What I love is the part where the reporter asked her about it, and then she recounted the (false) story of having to run to their cars, and then she finished by saying in a stern and hostile tone of voice, "And that is what happened."
Over the course of my life, I've dealt with a few people who've had repeated problems being truthful, and I've learned that one tell-tale sign of someone who likes to twist the facts is this: the closer you get to uncovering the truth, the more they go on the offensive. It's an attempt to intimidate you, and they're trying to shut you down before you dig any further. The thing to remember is that such behavior, when you see it for what it is, is a give-away that they're hiding something.
By the way, kudos to the reporter who was sharp enough to put Hillary on the spot for this. If that reporter hadn't asked the question the way they did, Hillary wouldn't have been caught in a lie. - TotalHalibut, on 03/25/2008, -2/+21Indeed. How can we, the people, honestly put our support behind an intelligent, polite, eloquent and well-spoken candidate, when we aren't willing to try to be the same thing.
- cdtoad, on 03/25/2008, -3/+21This will be a bigger stain on the Clinton legacy than Monica. She will stop at nothing to be the next George Bush.
- rogerdonaldson, on 03/25/2008, -1/+19R.I.P. This was the most mismanaged campaign & most inept candidate from a major political party since....um......who was the guy who ran against Polk again?
- inactive, on 03/25/2008, -1/+18...and if you were under sniper fire.
- legoalert33, on 03/25/2008, -1/+17I can't remember 12 years ago, but if i was being shot at with sniper fire I think I would ***** remember it.
- cyclades, on 03/25/2008, -8/+24Stick a fork in her. She's done.
- inferno10, on 03/25/2008, -4/+19Dan Rather must be smiling in heaven.
Oh wait, he's still alive. - sharpfork, on 03/25/2008, -2/+17This cuts to the heart of the "Commander in Chief threshold"® Hillary is responsible for creating to use against Obama and now she cannot cross. Commander in Chief is a military role- this tall tale is her only "military action" that was more than a committee meeting.
POW McCain will be telling tales of his documented experience and she will be stuck with this video playing over and over making her "military action" stories look like tall fishing tales. - Dhalsim007, on 03/25/2008, -3/+18Owwwwww! Et Tu, Katie?
- inactive, on 03/25/2008, -0/+14Yeah...it was the Diggers...not the fact that CBS WAS THERE !!!
- JohnnyKdiggs, on 03/25/2008, -1/+14I don't support Hillary or Obama (and will not mention my candidate of choice for fear of being marked a spammer...). That being said, I'm fairly certain this controversy will be her downfall, considering it puts everything she's said this past year under question.
- afx1, on 03/25/2008, -2/+14just because she can't remember if snipers were shooting at her, doesn't mean she shouldn't be answering the phone in a crisis
/sarcasm - 37RUSSK4N, on 03/25/2008, -1/+13You know, when you think about it.. its pretty bizarre.. Running from snipers with your 8yo daughter has got to be terrifying on the level that itd be something you would never, ever forget.. ' most intelligent woman in politics ' or not. So you KNOW she knew she was lying. But how did she figure not a single person would pull up the videos and call her out ? Totally bizarre - to the point of psychosis imo. I just cant figure it out. Is she that completely removed from real life that these sorts of shenanigans seem like good ideas at the time ?
- silentcollision, on 03/25/2008, -1/+13Weird, it showed that for me too. I went to post it, but rather than looking like an idiot, I thought I should double check.
Views: 286,371 - xizax, on 03/25/2008, -3/+14It happens when you get old and you had 8 years of trips as first lady. Nonethless, if she did cook the lie beforehand then she is too dumb to think the exageration was not going to be verified.
- iDHype, on 03/25/2008, -6/+16Thanks, the MSM "exposed" something newsworthy for once - with no small thanks to all the diggers who made this ***** blow up over the weekend
- crombenevolant, on 03/25/2008, -1/+11That is flat out disturbing.
- SpectreFire, on 03/25/2008, -1/+11Her laugh just scares the ***** out of me.
- ammut666, on 03/25/2008, -2/+12I can't remember 12 years ago, but I would remember if there was a video tape or cameras filming me.
- Hobbes24, on 03/25/2008, -1/+11it depends on your definition of "snipers"
- headzoo, on 03/25/2008, -1/+11Dugg for "***** Shrubbery".. Reminds me a Monty Python routine.
- LuxFX, on 03/25/2008, -1/+10Don't forget the fact that other people (Sinbad) had already called her on her lies, and instead of moderating her story she just dug her heels in deeper. She even tried to discredit Sinbad "He is a comedian, Jack..."
- rumblestrut, on 03/25/2008, -2/+11I just got done watching the first 1/2 of the PBS documentary "Bush's War," only to hop online and see this.
We need to spread the word about this video of Hillary and the major news outlets need to hone on this big time. We don't need another leader that lies to the American people with such disregard to truth and integrity. - rdhazrd, on 03/25/2008, -0/+9Her husband is a much better liar, she needs to take some tips.
- Andyschism, on 03/25/2008, -3/+11RTFA its a CBS story, the link you provided was CNN. Not a dupe.
- djdingo, on 03/25/2008, -1/+9Looks like the snipers shot the dead caterpillars off her face.
Oh wait, those are her eyebrows. - RpgActioN, on 03/25/2008, -1/+9Yeah, "frank and needed opinions." When you inject that into a news source, it's called bias. I'm not saying that makes Digg a bad place, or I wouldn't be here. It's just ridiculously biased, and it's stupid to deny it.
