- inactive, on 12/06/2007, -7/+113The only candidate to demand a war declaration before attacking Iraq was Ron Paul. He submitted an amendment to the use of force resolution that was consistent with the Constitution.
No Democrat candidate offered such an amendment nor made such a demand. - tehbored, on 12/06/2007, -2/+96WTF? Dennis Kucinich is polling ABOVE Joe Biden and Bill Richardson! He's almost up to Edwards. Ron Paul is polling above McCain and Huckabee and has raised much more money than either of them! ***** ridiculous.
- rexblade, on 12/06/2007, -2/+62Notice this is after the debate in which the NAU scam is revealed by 1 of the candidates. CBS and all the candidates they say are worthy of mention are all cfr members. Kinda obvious there whats going on. Youll notice the MSM stepping up there efforts to pretend he doesnt exist. Those of you who dont get it yet the news in america is bought and sold and sometimes manipulated to make you think what they want. Katies informative "expose" should be called "pick yer next puppet suckers" but Katie what happened to the one the people wanted? "there is noone else, what chanting thousands? i have no idea what you mean". Sorry Katie didnt buy it I know lots of others dont aswell .
- peaceofpie, on 12/06/2007, -8/+66How do you cover a politician that tells the truth, when that truth will prove you helped wage the war in Iraq by spreading Bush lies? They will never spread Kucinich truths because honest reporting will prove they all are working to destroy real democracy in America. Wake up and find the truth, vote for Kucinich. Don't let them send our children to die in more wars based on lies.
- Brian48216, on 12/06/2007, -1/+46I stopped watching CBS news when Katie Couric started interjecting her damn opinions into the news.
I'm all for a female anchor, but she's a stupid bitch. - bratpack8, on 12/06/2007, -1/+42Further proof that the MSM is becoming more and more irrelevant each and every day. I can't even tell you the last time I watched any of these hack networks.

- inactive, on 12/06/2007, -0/+35You shouldn't. As a matter of fact, we should start a blacklist of all the entities out there that are enemies of the people. Unfortunately, there are so many it's hard to keep track of.
- hiphoc, on 12/06/2007, -5/+39We are gonna be real ***** loud on December 16th. We'l se he whores ignore this one.

http://RonPaulBlimp.com - jimmyjay, on 12/06/2007, -1/+34CBS news is providing coverage about THEIR candidates!
- taureandevi, on 12/06/2007, -4/+35One thing I would like to add is that according to a secure straw poll of members of Progressive Democrats of America Dennis Won 41%. Second was Edwards at 26%! http://pdamerica.org/articles/news/2007-12-05-08-0 ...
http://dennis4president.com - Kent4jmj, on 12/06/2007, -0/+27That's the point using these polls is wrong period. If a person goes to the effort to register and campaign, no matter what the size, then I want to know about them and what they have to say. The polls would be different if Keyes and Paul and all the 'second' tier candidates had been given equal coverage. We need to stop putting the cart before the horse. Polls mean nothing if we haven't had a chance to hear everyone. We are being manipulated and I don't like it.
- had3l, on 12/06/2007, -0/+22I was going to say: "What do you expect, they are obviously going to interview only the ones who are doing well in the polls". And then I saw Joe Biden, Bill Richardson and Mike Huckabee on the list.
- CanIGetAWitness, on 12/06/2007, -0/+19MSM is on the way out. It may take 20 years or more, but when the 16 to 35 year old generation become the 40 to 60 year olds, the MSM will either have changed or gone extinct.
Keep the internet in check, you know it will be the biggest target to stop this. - obliviousfool, on 12/06/2007, -1/+20Kucinich is clearly the most "democratic" of the Democrats. The fact that he has been kept from this CBS evening news thing is very disturbing. He represents the views of the party, and has always voted accordingly.
- odigity, on 12/06/2007, -2/+20You're surprised? 95% of all radio, television, and newspapers are controlled by four companies, which have strong ties to Washington. It's not an Illuminati conspiracy, it's just plain old power corrupts. Yes, they have an agenda, and keep Dennis/Ron from winning is part of it. Don't let them succeed, vote for Ron Paul (or Dennis if you really don't understand why big government is bad yet, at least he's honest).
- WiseWeasel, on 12/06/2007, -4/+21You're only in denial if you think the major media networks are still as powerful today as they were in past elections. Their power is waning, and one of these elections, they will have a much more limited impact on the outcome. Paul's relative success up to this point has only been possible thanks to media decentralization, and this trend shows no signs of slowing down. Someday soon (maybe even now), you won't be able to call the outcome of an election based solely on the reporting in classic major media networks.
- Kent4jmj, on 12/06/2007, -1/+18That's the point using these polls is wrong period. If a person goes to the effort to register and campaign, no matter what the size, then I want to know about them and what they have to say. The polls would be different if Keyes and Paul and all the 'second' tier candidates had been given equal coverage from the start. But no the media dirtbags had to do our thinking for us. We need to stop putting the cart before the horse. Polls mean nothing if we haven't had a chance to hear everyone. We are being manipulated and I don't like it.
- inactive, on 12/06/2007, -1/+17AMERICAN TELEVISION = T.V. MADE FOR RETARDS
- kuck, on 12/06/2007, -0/+14you dont need to ask rudy giuliani any question cause all he is gonna say is something about 9/11
- Jacob, on 12/06/2007, -1/+15That argument would make sense if ron paul was lower in the polls than everyone they had on the show, but he's not. Or maybe if he raised less money than the other candidates up there, but again he definitely didn't.
- sylvanknave, on 12/06/2007, -1/+15only in Iowa. If you're talking straw polls, Ron Paul has a clear lead: http://thecaseforronpaul.com/SP.aspx
- thundershot69, on 12/06/2007, -1/+15I'm not watching it!

- Subliminational, on 12/06/2007, -0/+13That doesn't make it legal.
- bousquetcm, on 12/06/2007, -1/+14Had to add a second comment after reading all the comments on the CBS page:
After reading through all 3 pages, Katie''s taking a lot of heat - but let''s be fair. She is the managing editor. BUT Rick Kaplan is the Executive Producer! And you also have to look at Pat Shevlin who is also the Exec. Prod.
And lets not forget:
Smith, Quincy President, CBS Interactive
Snyder, Steve Chief Operating Officer, CBS Interactive
Sims, Michael Vice President, Editorial, News CBSNews.com
Meyer, *** Editorial Director, CBSNews.com
And Im guessing the main guy pulling the strings:
Ververs, Vaughn Senior Political Editor, CBSNews.com
So let''s make sure they all get called out equally for this. It is the DUTY of the media to act as the WATCHDOG of the Government in order for the Government to be held accountable to the PEOPLE. Let''s not forget that. - Elathan, on 12/06/2007, -0/+12All valid points, and I for one am taking the best action a consumer can take. I don't watch any of these Main stream media outlets anymore. I don't even subscribe to cable. If they want my patronage, they can put forth better reporting. It is as simple as that.
- Rickler, on 12/06/2007, -1/+13http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/index.asp
Ron Paul has raised and spent way more more money than Mike Huckabee. - WiseWeasel, on 12/06/2007, -0/+12Doesn't mean they were constitutional, nor justified... What's your point?
- bousquetcm, on 12/06/2007, -4/+15My Comment, just in case CBS erases them -
"What?!?!?! No Ron Paul? His incredible turn out forced the San Francisco GOP to abort their poll, he''s out-fund raised every GOP candidate, and he''s the only Candidate (with the exception of Kucinich) that isn''t filled with scandals!!! PLUS he has actually read the US Constitution and understands what the Founding Fathers had in mind. And he won the Virginia Straw Poll. I could go on... Just search YouTube!!!
How about one, just one news outlet actually uphold the ethics and principles of journalism as it is taught to us young college idealists!!! " - Mast3rDigg3r, on 12/06/2007, -0/+11Harry Truman said, "A man not honorable in his marital relations is not usually honorable in any other" and many people say they don't feel comfortable supporting someone who has not remained faithful to his or her spouse-can you understand their position?

- inactive, on 12/06/2007, -1/+10justinsmith, the wiseweasel is right. The network news is watched by americans who are not politically active. They won't vote in the primaries, they won't caucus in Iowa.
The supporters of Dr. Paul and Mr. Kucinich are very active. They will all vote and they will get out the vote of others.
Expect a big surprise in Iowa and New Hampshire. - inactive, on 12/06/2007, -6/+15Kucinich is perhaps the best option in the Democrat party, but he certainly isn't the best choice overall. http://digg.com/political_opinion/Note_to_governme ...
Those who were maneuvered out of being able to vote for Ron Paul in the GOP primaries, should write Ron Paul in for the Democrat primaries. I would be great if he were elected by both parties, but even if that didn't happen, it certainly would get some attention if some Democrats did this. - latrosicarius, on 12/06/2007, -2/+10Officially never watching CBS again. And smacking all friends and family members who do.
- BuzzFriendly, on 12/06/2007, -1/+9What is the CBS Evening news anyway?
- capiCrimm, on 12/06/2007, -2/+10"It fails for same reason communism does"
Communism has to exist first, and so far no one has really done it. Plenty of dictatorships and "revolutionary agrarian communism" if that's what you mean.
First, being a libertarian does not make you selfish. If they were selfish they would want everyone but themselves to pay taxes. Sort of how the government-big corporation system we have now works. If you go and do what Kucinich says you'll just end up even worse because you won't eliminate the government-big corp. tie. Walking straight into your own enslavement. You can have your cake and eat it too if you're a Libertarian Socialist(what you seem to think is perfect). To achieve that, however, we need to first get all of our freedoms and then work towards eliminating scarcity together. The best path to that is Ron Paul at the moment. - Kent4jmj, on 12/06/2007, -2/+10...we should start a blacklist ... Or go to the ROOT and reapply the rule of law principle. That we are all held accountable under the law equaly.
- inactive, on 12/06/2007, -3/+10RP could raise 100 million and it would still be business as usual to these corporate pigs!
- hovester, on 12/06/2007, -1/+8So how is Biden a top candidate at 2 or 3 percent? More Katie Couric mainstream media *****. Vote Ron Paul!
- WilliamDavis, on 12/06/2007, -0/+7Whatever the goal is for December 16th, it will be the biggest one day fundraising event for any presidential candidate, EVER. Frankly, I'm tired of this *****. Every time Paul is derailed by the media somehow or another, I do something to counter it. There's a giant decal going on my car today.
- inactive, on 12/06/2007, -0/+7 Well, that IS how they see us...Retards whose only duty is to buy their stuff and leave them alone so they can run the country as they see fit.
