- CDWMobile, on 08/17/2008, -2/+80CAUTION: Politicians Would Say Anything To Win Election
- MagnaCarta, on 08/18/2008, -19/+39Obama and the Democrats will say anything to win.
- inactive, on 08/18/2008, -1/+20Correction: POLITICIANS would say anything to win election.
Buried as sensationalist, nonsense spam. - 6minuteabs, on 08/18/2008, -14/+32Huffingtard Post spam again. Buried.
- pitdog, on 08/17/2008, -5/+23Most politicians will say anything to get more power.
And the whole republican and democrats dilemma - its a show, its mostly fake, they're mostly the same, political class seeking to ***** the society up even more. Power hungry sob's who don't give a ***** about the Constitution, universal values, freedoms etc etc. - eliot2000, on 08/17/2008, -16/+33Roe v Wade will never be overturned. The last thing our neocon friends want is for abortion to be criminalized- rather, they want it to remain a permanent war, because abortion and gay marriage are the only things that have kept social conservatives and evangelicals voting against their own best interests for the last twenty years.
- damonic, on 08/18/2008, -2/+17Very true. Look at Nancy Pelosi.
- tman84, on 08/18/2008, -3/+18This has to be the funniest thing Huff post ever said. They must be turning into The Onion, because it's not possible to be this serious. Did they forget about Obama and public campaign funds, how about FISA? Both parties lie, and ignoring that is just irresponsible journalism, actually the Huff Post should be embarrassed to call themselves news reporters or journalists.
- aapl2dcore, on 08/18/2008, -0/+12Obama said he'd oppose telecom immunity, and then when Clinton dropped out, he showed what a typical lying politician he really is... No matter which one wins, the American people lose.
- opticwind, on 08/18/2008, -1/+12Anyone who actually read the article could see the title here to be debunked:
"ormer Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge said Sunday he thinks Republicans would accept a vice presidential candidate who supports abortion rights."
It's...an opinion? - RIPtechtv, on 08/18/2008, -0/+11In the Republicans defence how many times have Democrats said they would get a healthcare system that works?
- jolieve, on 08/18/2008, -0/+11Anyone will say anything to win an election. They're all trying to tell people what they want to hear so they can obtain power and run the country for a few years. That's why it's good that we elect our kings and kick them out every four years, rather than let them stick around for their entire lives, even after they start to go insane.
- Hetman, on 08/18/2008, -0/+10The problems is. Republicans are not republicans anymore. They believe in bigger government with more power. Patriot act FISA. They spend more due to the fact that they invaded Iraq under false pretenses. I am personally a fiscal conservative. I believe in small government with less power. I beleive the government should stay out of my business on social issuies. I do not care about gay marriage or abortion. If you want to do those two things great. If not that is great also. That is not mine or the governments concern.
- noen, on 08/18/2008, -0/+10Yup, same for Dems, and I'm a Dem.
When you elect a politician you are hiring someone to do a job. Hold them to it. - aforce369, on 08/18/2008, -1/+10ITT: Obama diggers and McCain diggers enter into another pissing contest over an article no one will really even bother reading anyway.
- moduc, on 08/18/2008, -7/+16Another post from Obama bot.
Another wave of attack by Obamanatics utilizing Digg (if not Digg is in it all along).
I must say very cheap shot. These low blows solidify my stand against Obama. - pbryan, on 08/18/2008, -0/+9CAUTION: Digg users would say anything to get a story posted on the front page.
- stone2020, on 08/18/2008, -2/+10FISA? Offshore Drilling? This partisan crap is so old. BOTH Parties say anything to get elected. Here comes the Huff Digg Brigade.
- ericdano, on 08/18/2008, -1/+8And the Democrats won't either? Please. They both will say anything to get elected.
- namelessNN, on 08/18/2008, -1/+7yup. republicans will say anything to win the election.
so will the democrats. - pacman122, on 08/18/2008, -3/+8In other news, the sky is blue and ice is cold.
- qxrt, on 08/18/2008, -0/+5Considering that McCain is the one with strong stances on everything (pro-life, offshore drilling), it really is Obama who is "saying anything to win the election," what with his vague, middle-of-the-road answers to everything (Abortion? "It's beyond my paygrade to answer that."). Even if you Obama supporters don't agree with McCain's stances, you have to admit that at least he has a solid, defined position, unlike Obama.
- FamousAnus, on 08/18/2008, -0/+5Republicans would say anything? Ironically enough - so would Huffington!
- 5urr3al5am, on 08/18/2008, -2/+7'Huff Post should be embarrassed to call themselves news reporters or journalists'
-- They're the only one's that do - Ne007, on 08/18/2008, -2/+7When will the republicans learn that the reason for their failures is because they are adopting the democrat's way of doing things?
Big spending, big government, and now it's bleeding over to ethics. - Willtheway, on 08/18/2008, -3/+8huffingtonpost = thinkprogress = jedreport = dailykos
there's the source of obama spam created by those working for the obama campaign, bury please - uselessexpert, on 08/18/2008, -0/+4Correction:
ANY POLITICIAN WOULD SAY ANYTHING TO WIN THE ELECTION! - Hetman, on 08/18/2008, -0/+4I agree. 1 example pops right into my head. If you vote for me in the primiaries I will refuse to sign FISA. Primaries over, I have to sign FISA it is the only logical vote to make.
- inactive, on 08/18/2008, -0/+4Ron Paul has dropped out of the race, but when he was running, he was running as a Republican.
- VigRoco, on 08/18/2008, -0/+4and so would Democrats...they are all politicians.
that's why it is so important that we vote Bob Barr in 2008! http://www.bobbarr2008.com/ - gnixon70, on 08/18/2008, -0/+4don't know why he's being dug down when he's %100 right. I mean do people actually believe there is a difference between the two parties any more?
And no I'm not a Ron Paul supporter. - zizzybaloobah, on 08/18/2008, -0/+4Amen! *Both* parties will say and do anything to get elected, because elections are no longer about fixing what's wrong, but about both parties maintaining control and the big question being which party gets to be the boss. Heaven forbid a 3rd party (of any kind) should gain a foothold and throw off the status quo (which would force everyone to actually have to do some real work and possible defend the Constitution).
- shauncorleone, on 08/18/2008, -0/+4CAUTION: HuffingtonPost is as much a news site as I am a Super-powered Leprechaun named Chachi.
- OC73, on 08/18/2008, -2/+6Lefties have some nerve submitting something like this while the Edwards scandal is in full swing.
- AmericanGunner, on 08/18/2008, -1/+5CAUTION: Pay attention to my mediocre article.
- Carv, on 08/18/2008, -2/+6Caution: No *****?
- inactive, on 08/18/2008, -3/+7Another stupid post by an idiotic Obamabot. He lives in a fantasy world where Obama is the most honest politician who would never tell a lie or "play politics". Give me a break. It's politics you panzy liberals, grow a pair already. (I speak to the person who submitted this article and the 102 idiots who dugg it up.)
- inactive, on 08/18/2008, -0/+3Why must it be Democrat? If you believe higher taxes and a larger government are not in your best interest, I assume you don't vote Republican, which leads me to conclude that you support third-party candidates. Could it be at all possible that he was talking about third-party candidates, as well?
Regarding neocons, how can a word be harmful if it has no meaning? The neocons represent everything wrong with the Republican party today (well, everything wrong that isn't just a reflection of the dysfunction of party politics in general, anyway). They represent uncontrolled government spending, bigger government, violations of our civil rights, the government imposition of Christian beliefs, and of course, tax cuts, which would be great, except that we in the middle class, hard workers just trying to keep a roof over our heads, we who could actually use a tax break, will never see a dime in tax cuts.
Obviously, I'm not trying to make saints out of the Democrats, they've got a list of sins a mile long, too, but you specifically asked about neocons. - TheJimid, on 08/18/2008, -1/+4Mccain in November "I'll release a position paper on medical marijuana next week."
Obama in 2004 "I think we should decriminalize marijuana"
Here we are in August with no position paper, and a flip flopped Obama, so on a positive note at least all the ***** is bi-partisan. - urgeigh, on 08/18/2008, -0/+3A lot of people, A LOT, have a hard time distinguishing between opinions (especially their own) and facts.
- Scrappy1850, on 08/18/2008, -0/+3The Democrats will DO ANYTHING to win the election
- Skywise, on 08/18/2008, -1/+4Ah well.. then Obama should be way in the lead in the polls now, huh?
- arpad, on 08/18/2008, -0/+2Har!
It's a representative form of government. If we want a better class of representatives we need better class of represented. - inactive, on 08/19/2008, -0/+2Dugg up for epic phrase failboat!
- inactive, on 08/18/2008, -0/+2Because the world is at the brink of WWIII and the most important thing right now is for the hopeless inner-city youth to have a hero.
- PennFarmer, on 08/18/2008, -3/+5So if Roe were overturned and gay marriage outlawed, everyone would then vote Democrat? How do you then explain Republicans before Roe and Doe?
- BOHIC, on 08/18/2008, -0/+2Buried because the thumbnail isn't John Cusack with a boombox.
- xman8, on 08/18/2008, -0/+2That is funny. Obama plays all sides and changes his mind by the hour in order to get votes.
Now, the liberals are trying to suggest that republicans are doing what Obama has been doing all along. Good try liberals! - dinsy, on 08/18/2008, -1/+3No. There is no real difference. To be precise, neocons are fascists. They are elitists with agendas which have nothing to do with left or right. Bill Clinton is a neocon. Brzezinski and Jimmy Carter are also. Along with the current administration their goal is to destroy the U.S. and use its resources to take over the rest of the world.
The only reason people vote for either Rep or Dem is that they are gullible and do no understand the reality that both are puppets and will not ever do anything for the benefit of the citizens of this country. -
