- undergrace, on 11/05/2007, -3/+84Wow, I really hope this story makes it past the Washington Post... people need to see what kind of "character" this "man" has. I have never met an average American that agrees with cronyism, so why is he still doing so well in the polls?! People need to wake-up and realize this man cares more about his bank-account than any of us citizens - he's not running for President because he wants to help us, he's just wanting to boost his "net worth" for later!
What an *****! - hiphoc, on 11/05/2007, -1/+37Hey, i'm an *****, and I find it offensive that you are comparing me to Rudolph Giuliani.
- whatthefu, on 11/01/2007, -6/+36Was the "CAUGHT" really necessary?
- darkciti2, on 11/02/2007, -5/+30Security Consulting Firm, eh?
No thanks. - jeanette3654, on 11/02/2007, -5/+26What!! Ghouliani caught lying, again?! No, you can't mean it. The Big G had better keep a low profile tommorrow if he knows what's good for him, someone might mistake him for the actor from Nosferatu! Remember Nov. 5th.
- Me1000, on 11/02/2007, -3/+22When questions about this Giuliani's response was
"ummm... 911 terrorists, you will die, Iran has nukes, 911, terror..." - lazyfisherman, on 10/31/2007, -4/+20look, we know he's a turd, an opportunist, a friend to corporate america and would make a horrible president. no surprises here
- akash8m, on 11/01/2007, -0/+14Biden on Giuliani:
"There's only three things he mentions in a sentence -- a noun, a verb, and 9/11. There's nothing else! There's nothing else! And I mean this sincerely. He's genuinely not qualified to be president."
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2007/10/30/biden-rud ... - cyclopssmiley, on 10/31/2007, -2/+15You know what he says
"Beans beans the magical fruit
the more you eat
the more 9/11" - AndrewDB, on 01/10/2008, -4/+16Ghoulani's voice just agitates the ever living piss out of me. I can't imagine working with the guy.
I'd feel like taking my head to a steel cheese grater to just dull the pain. - verifex, on 10/31/2007, -5/+17I dunno about you guys, but I think there's a snowballs chance in hell Giuliani will get any further then the republican primaries. No self-respecting American can seriously vote for a man that has dredged through his entire campaign on one issue (9/11). He is no better then Bush and his cronies I'm sure. I can't believe anyone even has any doubt that Giuliani's campaign is futile.
- KingBunny, on 10/31/2007, -3/+13Until he actually drinks blood directly from a puppy, live on Oprah, he will not be news-worthy.
Hey look, Obama stopped wearing a pin for some crazy reason I'm too lazy to think about. MEDIA FEST! - imbob, on 11/02/2007, -7/+17RON PAUL!!!
- byrdgang, on 10/31/2007, -0/+8The sad thing is that what you're saying is actually true. The Obama pin thing was on the news for a long while, but I have not heard a single thing questioning Giuliani's dubious crime-fighting statistics or his supposed terrorism strength. What's more important? Obama taking a pin off or knowing the truth about one of the candidates? It is strange I even have to ask.
- brufleth, on 10/31/2007, -0/+8He's socially liberal, has very little experience, he's on what, his third wife, he was mayor of New York City (here's a clue, much of rural America hates NYC), his one real claim to fame (being mayor during 9/11) is shouted down constantly by the people who were actually doing the hero work.
...Oh yeah. He's really unstoppable. It is early, maybe you're just joking and I'm not getting it. - smacksaw, on 11/05/2007, -0/+7This is why that 30 minute funny news show on FOX News failed - I think that being conservative and having a sense of humour...well, somehow the former negates the latter.
I'm scared you take Ghouliani so seriously. Happy Halloween! - byrdgang, on 10/31/2007, -1/+8I am trying to figure out whether a government run media can really be much worse than the money-driven one that we currently have. What's the big difference? You know the government will give you its own spin, and private media does the exact same thing. Money is one hell of a motivator, and I am not talking just Fox News.
- TheFinaleofSeem, on 10/31/2007, -3/+9Of course. This is Digg, after all. You have to sensationalize the headline as much as possible.
- lazyfisherman, on 11/02/2007, -2/+8Unfortunately, based on the last tough guy idiot the people elected, there is no doubt that Giuliani has a shot at becoming president.
- zachshmack, on 10/31/2007, -1/+7Wow, you have a lot of pent up anger. You're reacting to people making jabs at him as if you're related to the guy. Settle down.
- ZenMojo, on 10/31/2007, -4/+10Yes. Yes it was.
- arunforce, on 10/31/2007, -1/+7Please shut the ***** up.
Let me guess, Bush has democratic ideals too. They are called "stealing you freedom." - bjornski, on 10/31/2007, -1/+6In June.
Just how long does it take? Maybe he'll have them wrapped up by October next year?
Doesn't matter. He's got your vote either way. - jeimus, on 10/31/2007, -2/+7Who cares his panache gets cut down every day, whether or not he mentions 9/11, takes calls from his wife during press conferences, or forgets to quit a job
- eternal464, on 10/31/2007, -4/+9the average American will believe anything on the "News". "Freedom of the Press" my ass. The few media empires of the country basically choose the presidents these days. Truthfully, if the media was government run at least the average citizen could realize that it would slightly biased, and thats whats so sad. Also, probably the biggest election in the world(what other decision affects so much of the world?) would at least be ACCURATELY covered.
- AndrewDB, on 01/10/2008, -2/+7CNN swings Republican so they'll post whatever they want as long as it favors a republican candidate.
Fox news swings republican, look to other news sources, you'll find that *as much as I hate to say this because it sounds like spam* Ron Paul is currently leading Republican polls..
I'm not nearly as crazy about Ron Paul as the rest of his internet followers are, but because of yesterdays plea for help finding out what he's about, I'm a bit more versed in his platform, and I've got to say, the guy has an impressive idea of how the country should be run.
The primaries will be very, very interesting to watch. - byrdgang, on 10/31/2007, -2/+7This is not about him deciding to keep his job. This is about possible election crimes (mixing firm finances with campaign finances) and breaking his promise. Terrible use of hyperbole and an even worse attempt at sarcasm.
- friedman420, on 10/31/2007, -0/+5Its an issue for two reasons, the first being that the company might have provided campaign staff, paid expenses, etc. in contradiction to FEC rules.
And the other is that his working at this company may cause conflicts of interest. Neither of them are proven but it seems like it'd be a good idea to follow up on this. - JlmAWP, on 10/31/2007, -0/+5He's doing well in the polls because the media *cough* FOX NEWS *cough* says he is. Just like they say that Ron Paul is below 1%. *****.
- jellygraph, on 11/01/2007, -0/+5guilliani > bush
greater evil, that is - byrdgang, on 10/31/2007, -1/+6This is not about him deciding to keep his job. This is about possible election crimes (mixing firm finances with campaign finances) and breaking his promise. Terrible use of hyperbole and an even worse attempt at sarcasm.
- zachshmack, on 10/31/2007, -2/+6The unbiased opinion of "leftykiller"
- Bilabrin, on 11/02/2007, -0/+4Also, speaking of charachter, he did marry his first cousin. Not that that in itself is all that bad but c'mon man, if you can't stay committed to family, why should we believe you'll stay commited to the promises you campaign on?
- BlacklabelSAR, on 10/31/2007, -0/+4Here's an example of a statement that makes no sense "If your a democrat, and have democratic ideals, I strongly suggest you contribute to Giuliani's war-chest. This way even if we end up with a republican, at least we'll end up with a rebublican with some democratic ideals."
Although I am an Independent; I am sure that Democrats will see the logic in funding a Republican with "at least some" some democratic ideals? Wha-a-t? That would be Ron Paul then wouldn't it?
Here's my nonsense to counter your nonsense: "I think that the backwards Fundamentalist Christians should support Satan because at least he has some sort of relationship with God, whereas these athiests have none." Does that work for ya? - abcdigg, on 10/31/2007, -0/+4Well said
- Terr01, on 10/31/2007, -0/+4WTF??
You've got it ass-backwards in what looks like plain shilling for Giuliani. Giuliani's bad stance on some issues and flip-floppy stance on the rest is a reason to OPPOSE him. - beyondinfinity, on 10/31/2007, -1/+5Oh hell no. Ties like that to corporate interests should invalidate his bid for president instantly.
- Bilabrin, on 10/31/2007, -0/+3That's not completely true. He also uses the phrase "when I was mayor of new york....." quite often as well.
- inactive, on 10/31/2007, -3/+6"self-respecting American"? they're in the majority now? last I checked it was mostly feeble bloated sheep that were doing the majority of the deciding, the exact kind of fascist lemmings that couldn't care less about what The Weasel does or says, as long as he keeps acting like a tough guy. judging his chances based on your idea of credibility could lead to a huge surprise for you. i hope he keeps getting hammered on integrity issues until the fools finally have to face who he really is: a giant, evil creep.
- AdamGeld, on 10/31/2007, -0/+3Nailed WHAT?
- eburetto, on 10/31/2007, -1/+4In other news Hillary and Obama caught casting votes in the Senate.
- bobbilljoe, on 10/31/2007, -0/+3All this man seeks is money and power
- Observant1, on 10/31/2007, -0/+3bill clinton hands a ton of technology to china and in a clinton bush baton pass they rammed NAFTA through (Not Allowed Freedom To Approve!) trade and border issues that should have been put to a vote. Corporate welfare handouts so companies can leave the country making millions of workers unemployed, hillary on the board of directors to WALMART 6 years importing Chinese slave made consumer goods bankrupting American manufacturers unemploying millions more, WALMART building a superport in Mexico for Chinese super-cargo ships to unemploy US longshoremen and truckers also bringing in more and faster. RUDY GIULIANI's lawfirm making millions representing CINTRA from Spain building the NAFTA SUPERHIGHWAY for transporting these slave made goods. (notice he's ex mayor of NYC and hillary the rep for NY state). RICK PERRY governor of Texas is land grabbing for this NAFTA superhighway. BUSH tries and fails 3-4 times to pass amnesty for illegal immigrants then hands the keys to US highways over to 100 Mexican trucking companies out of spite.
people need to understand they are all business partners in TREASON !! - LargeTrout, on 10/31/2007, -0/+3Sadly, the US media brainwash the public into believing who is winning the race, ergo people will think they should vote the ones winning the race. So far, the US media is claiming the Dem and GOP frontrunners will be Clinton and Guiliani respectively. The British media (where I live) is reporting the same. It's almost a done deal that, sadly for Ron Paul, you Yanks will have to vote for either Clinton or Guiliani in 2008; and all because the media are touting them as the party nominees. Media is the most powerful force on the planet at the moment. All it takes is one slight insinuation, or a gentle verbal tug in the wrong direction, and the person in front of the TV is influenced for life. Whoever owns the media is, essentially, a God.
- BlacklabelSAR, on 10/31/2007, -0/+2American citizen here. You remind me of Nixon saying that all democrats were communists. Talk about losing credibility. And allow me to correct you and your ilk: It's not "America haters", it's "***** haters" or "Fascist haters". Guiliani has capitalized on 9/11 for his own gain. It's a fact, educate yourself.
- inactive, on 10/31/2007, -2/+4After reading this I think I'm going to vote for him twice, once with my vote and once with YOUR vote! Electronic voting ftw!
- ChaosMotor, on 10/31/2007, -0/+2"I have never met an average American that agrees with cronyism, so why is he still doing so well in the polls?!"
Because he and Hillary have been chosen by the corporate King-Makers who do everything in their power to ensure that the MSM that they own does absolutely nothing to expose the treachery of their chosen candidates. Sure, they'll run a negative piece occasionally, but they don't follow up and they certainly don't promote the TRULY, deeply, and fundamentally expositive negative stories that would disengage the average person from considering either of them.
I have a lot of friends who have expressed support for Rudy because he was a "good mayor" and a "strong leader after 9/11". They have NO CLUE about his personal life or his politics or the ***** he's been up to since then. Almost universally, when they are told about the REAL Rudy Ghouliani, they no longer consider him to be an acceptable choice of candidate. The ones who stick by him after that do so because they "have to beat Hillary". - inactive, on 10/31/2007, -0/+2It's unbelievable how arrogant these politicians are. They really believe they are above the law.

- yogione, on 10/31/2007, -0/+2Sorry, Guiliani has been upstaged by the perfect GOP-corporate candidate
