- JamesKeenan, on 10/10/2007, -8/+54It used to be that after so many small, or even just a few large blunders, it was customary to resign from some position of power. Only in the position of, say, dictator did the leader not have to account for his actions. This guy has has a hell of a lot of small blunders and even a ***** ton of small ones.
Now, I'm not saying Bush is as bad as Hitler, but it's obvious he has a *SORELY* mistaken idea of what the office of the president is meant for. He thinks he rules this country. That. Is. Wrong. He and his administration are corrupt and their path is outright hurting America. - meshman, on 10/10/2007, -5/+20How can they be 'busted' if they're anonymous?
- notque, on 10/10/2007, -8/+15Bush has committed war crimes. If we follow the Nuremberg trials then he is responsible for all the acts of terror from those crimes.
- unitheory, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7how can someone be an "anonymous official"?
- otheruser, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10It's that kind of attitude that ruins our country.
Apathy is our democracy's greatest illness. - ScornedPatriot, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9There are eight stages of democracy:
1: From bondage to spiritual faith;
2:From spiritual faith to great courage;
3:From courage to liberty;
4:From liberty to abundance;
5:From abundance to complacency;
6:From complacency to apathy;
7:From apathy to dependence;
8:From dependence back into bondage.
So where are you, from complacency to apathy? - 0xbaadf00d, on 10/10/2007, -10/+16Anonymous sources say this is blogspam.
- cesig, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9Go back far enough and they didn't just resign, they fell on their swords. Supposedly.
I like that a little better. - ReturnToFreedom, on 10/10/2007, -3/+8Here is a letter I wrote to Senator Feinstein who was one of those Democrats who caved in.
Senator Feinstein,
While I agree with your speeches on the Senator floor, I feel compelled to remind you that you voted to increase the authority of this President to wiretap international electronic communications. In order to see where you stand on the issue, I feel it's more relevant to see what you do and not what you say. It is both immoral and a crime against the founders of this country to support someone who fails to translate his or her own words into action. I don't know why you voted to give this President increased authority in light of your Senate speech. I'm sure you're aware that this President has an agenda that includes very little respect for the limitations of government authority afforded to us by the Constitution. The America us common people live in is enjoyable only with our freedoms intact. The government has no business intercepting any of my communications without probable cause. We desperately need more people to fight on our side. I will work hard so that you either join the people who believe that the government should leave law-abiding citizens' privacy intact or that you are voted out of office. - brycelb, on 10/10/2007, -3/+7americablog.com, really?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6AmericanBlog is completely worthless as a news source.
Read the NYTimes article for yourself.
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/08/07/washington/07nsa.html?_r=2&oref=slogin&oref=slogin - keathmilligan, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5Buried as inaccurate. The Times headline WAS misleading. Glenn Greenwald is a proven liar and sock-puppeteer.
- Drakkor, on 10/10/2007, -5/+7Why is the lying man still in charge of the just us department ????
- RGWX, on 10/10/2007, -5/+6Anyone basing their argument on "Glenn Greenwald says" get the Buried As Inaccurate treatment. (Unless the topic is 'Self Important Sockpuppetry Experts Living in Brazil")
- Urusai, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3Let us praise Ron Paul, for he is Not Bush. Yea, thank the Paul for giving us this our daily Rage, verily, Amen.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Actually, there's nothing funnier than an entire Digg article over the word "Broadened".
....actually
douche
actually - Bdog2g2, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Well since you've resorted to name calling it would seem that not only have the Right Wingers (or Nutters) have not only lost their sense of decency and integrity, but their sense of humor.
IT WAS A ***** JOKE.
BTW
"psychopathic vigilante retards"
Stop talking about your lord and savior, Bush. Not a good sign for the Re-pubic Hairs when you do that. - kufu91, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Phil Shuman is a sneaky fellow.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Nothing funnier than the right wing nutters attacking the messenger because they can't defend the Bush administration.
Again.
As usual. - Terr01, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4Well, their reporters know who they were, so they might not be publicly busted... hrm.
- rcook18, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The answer is that Bush/Cheney need a guarantee that their crimes will not be investigated or prosecuted. Without that guarantee, Bush/Cheney could not continue.

- haggie, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4Nancy Pelosi should resign in disgrace for allowing this legislation to even see the light of day let alone be passed into law.
- Arkons24, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4buried as inaccurate
- razor150, on 10/10/2007, -4/+4I think it might be newsworthy when one of the Bushies tells the truth.
- FredoBerfil, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3That would insure that every Bush official would be dead by now.
(BTW I'd be careful with comments like that - they're wiretapping you now). - RGWX, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0
You mean...like liberals show such great love for the 1st Amendment (campaign finance speech bans, campus speech codes, politically correct "hate crimes" laws targeting speech)...or maybe how much liberals LOVE the 2nd Amendment (need I say more...you just LOVE the Constitution until it comes to scary guns)...or say...the 10th Amendment, since liberals demonstrably believe the states are best managed from DC. I could go on but really...why?
Your understanding of both modern and historical conservatism is astoundingly sloppy. - Leviathan777, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3Wow, obviously not a lot of love from conservative digg-spammers for the Constitution. But then again, we knew that already.
Modern conservatives aspire to be the kind of college frat middle-management lickspittles who Barry Goldwater wouldn't have given the time of day to, unless it was to put his foot in their ass.
Hillary Clinton said she was a "Goldwater girl" and she wasn't apologizing for it. And I understand why. It's the Gingrich conservative snot-noses who have something to be ashamed of. - RGWX, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Gladly...

Many more to be found...Google is MAGIC. ;) - fulibs, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1Say what?? Sockpuppetry in brazil?
Got a link? - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1wow... Liberal responses have now sunk to fictitious psychopathic vigilante retards in tights.
Way to raise the bar. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -7/+4That's good enough for me. Let's impeach. /libmode off
- Lumbeekid06, on 10/10/2007, -10/+5Honestly Its getting really old hearing about bush, can we pick a new subject now?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -9/+4Liberal = FUD
- Frnnkdlxx, on 10/10/2007, -8/+3F*ck it... Whenever a Bush Administration official lies to us, we're just going to start shooting them...
- fulibs, on 10/10/2007, -11/+6Buried as LAME...
On another note, I once knew this guy who had a friend who knew somebody that lied about the president...
