- b8man99, on 11/15/2007, -18/+224Story should read - Bush kicks America in nuts, steals it's money and gives it his pals - AGAIN!
For a country with so many guns it's amazing to me that nobody has attempted to assassinate this guy. - tuzziel, on 11/15/2007, -12/+162IMPEACH
- Jareth86, on 11/15/2007, -9/+131***** that guy.
- JasonHears, on 11/15/2007, -20/+114How can we spend money at home when there are all those terrorists out there wanting to destroy us?
- dunderballer, on 11/15/2007, -11/+78The bill did have a lot of pork and it should have been vetoed to be send back to Congress. Bush criticizing the democrats for $10 billion in pork when his hundreds of billions in war funding was granted, is hypocritical. Nonetheless, the democrats are not demonstrating fiscal responsibility either and are attempting to lump their special interests funds into conglomerate spending bills with some valid causes so as to make Bush look bad in the event of a veto. If you go to your favorite restaurant, order you favorite dish, and it is cooked perfectly except that it has a piece of rabbit ***** on it, what would you do? Send it back!
- mandagrrl, on 11/15/2007, -11/+60No child left where georgie?????
- trvr, on 11/15/2007, -2/+46I often wondered the same thing; but I realized that there isn't a single person on this Earth that wants Dick Cheney to be the president (other than himself).
- credential101, on 11/15/2007, -3/+41I think I'm the only who thinks this but ALL POLITICS ARE CORRUPT.
The Democrats, who run the House and Senate passed the Iraq funding bill which allowed the President to get signed.
***** Dems and Repubs altogether! - Identity4, on 11/15/2007, -0/+36Only presidents who do good things for the country get popped in the head...
- trvr, on 11/15/2007, -1/+37No Child Left Behind (Send Them All To Iraq).
- algorhythmix, on 11/15/2007, -1/+35I don't think we need terrorists anymore to destroy us ...we are already doing a heck of a job !!
- Phrag, on 11/15/2007, -2/+33There were roughly 3,000 people who died in September 11th, which was the biggest terrorist attack in US history. Roughly 18,000 Americans die every year from lack of preventative medical care. Which would you consider a bigger threat to national security?
- Tatoruso, on 11/15/2007, -4/+31Hehehe the illusion. I suggest you read some of the Bruce Schneier´s essays, to have another point of view about HOW can you spend on security...
the right thing to do is to have a good compromise between external and internal spending, don´t you think? It´s kind of absurd to think that terrorism is a real threat to USA as a democratic, strong country... It´s just silly. - Stettenbauer, on 11/14/2007, -3/+27GOOOOOOD .......YES.......very good my young apprentice.
- Slungsolow, on 11/15/2007, -1/+25too easy... the educated don't want war.
- Rowan187, on 11/15/2007, -4/+27Wow... 1 Veto per week, seriously...
- PhantomRogue, on 11/15/2007, -2/+23George W. Bush... Domestic Terrorist.
- jbschwi, on 11/14/2007, -0/+19We don't have enough money to fund insurance for children, but almost half a trillion for the pentagon?
- inactive, on 11/15/2007, -2/+20And the value of the United States Dollar continues to do the limbo dance.
"How low can you go?" - stevenb, on 11/15/2007, -2/+20I'm a libertarian, and I think terrorism is a threat.. but not nearly as hyped as the current administration / chickenhawks like yourselves make it out to be.
- ronaldinho, on 11/15/2007, -1/+19Shoot Cheney first
- SleepingOrange, on 11/15/2007, -4/+20This man isn't 'going' to destroy the US economy, because he already has.
The American economy is doomed to fail at this point. Band-aid fixes like lowering interest rates and injecting money (borrowed money) into the system do nothing but dig the hole deeper and deeper. This isn't about funding a pointless war, this is about fiscal responsibility and giving a ***** about the well-being of the next generation.... which of course, he doesn't really seem to give a crap about. Himself, and his kids are taken care of, why should he care about anyone else? - airwalkery2k, on 11/14/2007, -2/+18At least we have our priorities straight, granted, moving in the exact opposite direction it should be. But straight none the less.
- Phrag, on 11/15/2007, -0/+15You can't. Unfortunately Bush has done plenty of things wrong.
- lazyfisherman, on 11/15/2007, -1/+16Seriously, what else do you expect the War President to do? He loves war. He loves spending money on war. He loves his oil and war profiteering friends.
- InetRoadkill, on 11/15/2007, -3/+18Because up until the dems took over, programs benefiting health, education, and the environment were not even considered. Instead, the monies were pissed down the rat hole called homeland security.
- jonnyeuchre, on 11/15/2007, -3/+18
Just tell Bush it's a job and education package for Iraq and watch the money pour in... - fractalman, on 11/15/2007, -6/+21Bush never vetoed anything until the Dems took over.
- azprofessional, on 11/15/2007, -3/+17IF thats the claim everytime Bush vetos something your ***** country is doomed, enjoy paying for its partisan cluster *****
- Veni_Vidi_Vici, on 11/15/2007, -1/+15You realize you post has been intercepted by a homeland security bot and they are currently using the money bush just gave them to conduct surveillance on you, right?
- Jareth86, on 11/15/2007, -1/+15Like this: http://www.truemajority.org/oreos/
- usbserial, on 11/15/2007, -0/+13Bush could punch you in the nads and you'd thank him for being such a nice guy.
- spiritofharvest, on 11/15/2007, -6/+19LOL! Go figure. Don't blame the poor guy he's apparently "dyslexic" it must be hard to get all those "special" projects through his head. Much easier to spend money on the already over funded Pentagon.
- Bartboy919, on 11/15/2007, -8/+21No, Thank you military industrial complex!
- Hetman, on 11/15/2007, -0/+13Why would he veto something if he had a completly Republican congress?
- Identity4, on 11/15/2007, -2/+14HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
...oh wait..thats not funny.. - mlfoley, on 11/15/2007, -0/+12Not the only one by a longshot. Anyone capable of basic observation, though, could come to that conclusion, It's self-evident and only those who wish to delude themselves deliberately don't accept this.
- reuscel, on 11/15/2007, -6/+18Educated children very rarely want to go fight in unjust wars in the desert. It makes perfect sense.
- funkyjunk3, on 11/14/2007, -1/+13I hate to say this, but Bush has forgotten American issues to fight his dirty little war.
He doesn't want to spend 100 billion dollars to help Americans, but blesses the Pentagon with half a trillion in weapons R & D.
F THIS! - grendelwraith, on 11/15/2007, -0/+12Just an American citizen, with an opposing viewpoint.
- spyd3rweb, on 11/15/2007, -2/+14Stop the war! before we print so much money the dollar is finished.
- FredFredrickson, on 11/15/2007, -3/+14You can remove him for making poor decisions, or decisions that aren't in the interest of the country... and that is exactly what Bush is doing with his "veto pen."
- Phrag, on 11/14/2007, -1/+12http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/healthcare/200 ...
You could have looked that up. It wasn't hard to find. - inactive, on 11/15/2007, -2/+12JasonHear--you have been deceived. Your odds of dying from cancer, diabetes, a drunk driver and many other top causes of death are much greater. The president, like fascists before him, use fear to get you to give up your liberties--and you're paying him to do it.
His plan is to bankrupt the nation as fast as possible. At that time, they expect people to give up their remaining liberties. - FredFredrickson, on 11/15/2007, -3/+13He's a fiscally responsible war president!
- FredFredrickson, on 11/15/2007, -0/+10Don't forget you have to name it something patriotic.
- jeremyduffy, on 11/15/2007, -2/+12Christ. You would allow Bush to line-item veto!? That only works when you have a good president. First Bush would strike any line about accountability...
- tamerrashdan, on 11/15/2007, -8/+18This is what this extreme right-wing terrorist stands for.....WAR and BLOOD
It's sad to see such an extremist in the White House...really sad - Stregasusi, on 11/15/2007, -0/+10"Who are you to ask more?"
A taxpayer and an American citizen. - yodaj007, on 11/15/2007, -1/+10One attack on American soil in how many years? The last attack I can remember was Pearl Harbor, but that was an act of declared war not terrorism. Unfortunately, you're vastly overstating the severity of 9/11. If we can spend a few billion dollars a year on making it 99% likely that we'll catch a terrorist before he can act, what is the point of throwing even more and more money at it? There comes a point when you have to say enough is enough.
Let's not forget that many of these terrorists are the result of US foreign policy. Osama Bin Laden is one such individual. It was our arrogance and stupidity that brought the hammer down on us. And you reap what you sow. -
