- polyGone, on 10/12/2007, -5/+45B,b,b,but the terrorists!!!11!!
Since the police work for them and they aren't working for us, I think we need our own 'police'. - Calann, on 10/12/2007, -4/+32I can't wait till they explain to us that we must repeal the Bill of Rights in order to protect our freedoms.
- littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -4/+25Fun! More Fascism!
- Afreyt, on 10/12/2007, -4/+24If I find someone breaking into my home, they better hope I give them a chance to identify themselves as government spies before I blow their heads off in a panic caused by fear for my life inspired by men in dark clothing with guns, something which no jury would ever be able to convict me of manslaughter for.

//is afraid of terrorists breaking into his house wearing fake government uniforms - jaycliche, on 10/12/2007, -3/+19Can you call a country run by a few companies a "government"?
- Proximity, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17Oh my f'in lord. We SERIOUSLY need to nuke'n'pave our *entire* government and just start over. It's so perverted at this point...
- jaycliche, on 10/12/2007, -3/+17"boot of government stepping on your neck."
The government is a few corporations. You can't vote for them. The shills they put up for you to pretend that you are making a difference do what they are told.
If voting would change things, they'de make it illegal. - mikelieman, on 10/12/2007, -3/+17How about this nugget?
"Give telecommunications companies immunity from civil liability for their cooperation with Bush’s terrorist surveillance program."
1) It's not a "Terrorist Surveillance Program", by reading the documents in EFF v. AT&T it's clear it's a blanket surveillance program covering EVERYONE.
b) I suspect that's the only part of it his masters really want enacted. - jaycliche, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16Tastes like the beautiful residue of glorious leaders penis in our american mouths.
All hail leader! - umbriago, on 10/12/2007, -7/+20Why would I want to kick the mall out? Where would Orange Julius go?
- Dumbledorito, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16Remember when the right wing used to claim that Democrats and liberals were going to break into your house and take away your books and freedoms?
That was funny. - grooviekenn, on 10/12/2007, -5/+18As soon as we kick them out of office... no sooner no later
- Afreyt, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14Case in point: http://www.northcountrygazette.org/articles/020406FBIFrauds.html
"Three men who impersonated federal agents in order to carry out an armed home invasion robbery have been sentenced."
Do we really need more Ruby Ridge's because ***** finds it too difficult to get warrants? - meldroc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Bushco's claiming that these new surveillance powers will only be used against terrorists.
Of course, I think everyone here knows Bushco's definition of "terrorists:"
Anti-war protesters, Democrats, libertarians, and everyone else who hates Bush.
I'll just say this. If I see anyone breaking into my house, they're going to be looking down the barrel of my 12-gauge. Yeah, feds, I know you read this. THAT INCLUDES YOU! - nixonrichard, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15Exactly . . . everyone wants more power, which is the reason we have three competing branches of government. You gotta keep 'em separated.
- SOULEVENT, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13@boredandbold
so who is contriving what? who contrived something that was wrong? who is blaming someone who doesnt deserve it? and who is "attacking" anyone who has done nothing wrong?
you mean contriving intelligence to profiteer off a war? or contriving a war on terror to strip Americans of their civil liberties and create a police state? or contriving a subversive news media to debilitate TRUE thought? or perhaps contriving how to enact martial law on your own citizens through act of terror?
Thought so, stfu and go burn your voterid card asshat. (sarcasm, before, after, and all throughout btw)
Army of One lone warrior of TRUTH...if your president ever leaves office and you dont have that little (R) to protect you anymore, some soldier is going to PUNCH you in the mouth...perhaps, if you try and ***** him about how you supported him by being a mouthpiece for Criminals.
and before you do the "usual" and babble about liberals and traitors and what not, let me inform you, turd, I am pro-life, I believe in the Lord, and I think Michael Moore has a weight issue...but that aside, Im not liberal, but Im not a lying scumsucking Fascist who pretends to be a patriot.
THE TRUTH MEANS SOMETHIGN *****, TO BAD YOU DONT BELIEVE IN THAT!!! - jaycliche, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13If glorious leaders (the decider) says it...then who are we to question? If you do then you must be a terroist, right guys?

"....and breaking into homes to make copies of computer hard drives...."
This would be the RIAA dream come true... - haggie, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11we strapped little sis to the bike, lit her on fire, and pushed her over a cliff.
now give us the keys to the car and the handgun and liquor cabinets. - pgoetz, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12@boredandold
I'm sure all your fans tell you this, but you're a complete ***** idiot. But thank YOU for being a fascist. - d00ley, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11Do you really think everything will stop when Bush leaves office? He is just there to lay the groundwork. To play the bad cop while the legal and military infrastructure is laid out to be used in full force at a later date.
- FRANKeB, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Benito Mussolini's Fascism was Corporatism with absolute rule over the people. Someone please tell me what the difference is between that concept and what is happening in the US today. Democracy will one day come to America. Rise up people.
- TheWretched, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10They chip away at our freedoms, they lie to us so often they even believe it as divine truth. They play the religious card and every other card they can think of (they even drew up a few of their own) to legitimize every immoral and illegal action they've taken. They accuse us of working for the terrorists for anything less than an unconditional agreement over their policies.
To them we're all expendable, even their own followers are not immune.
I could write more, fact check, yadda yadda yadda; but I'm just going to stop now.
Frakin' A - SukiDesu, on 10/12/2007, -6/+12He wants more power; now that's news!
- polyGone, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9"If voting would change things, they'd make it illegal."
That is the truest statement I've heard in a while. - aitf311, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10They wouldnt explain why they need to do it. It would just be done.
- polyGone, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9I sometimes wonder if partisan drones, such as yourself, _really_ think their are only two types of people. Keep playing the game.
- d00ley, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10I think he's basically saying the ever present terrorist threat is a ruse. It appears he is saying that if anybody wanted to attack us (planes, etc) they could.
- snotrokit, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10when will these ***** stop?
- UnstableMind, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Guys, I'm tired of this demonizing left/right *****. I have said it time and time again, ***** the left/right 3rd grade banter and wake the ***** up. No more two party system, elect (starting with your local community) mostly individuals from third parties (ie, liberatarian or independant) This ***** has got to stop, the media only give air time to the two (paying) parties and guarantees who and what goes on in government. The corporations pay for these individuals in office and then the sponsored official "owe" those corporations favors by voting/introduction legislation that help them, ie, Credit Card Companies and recently passed Bankruptcy Law. And what the ***** is this paying farmers ***** that they lost crops. I understand and agree it's God awful, but come the ***** on, people lose jobs, houses, cars, and what the ***** do they get. They sure as hell don't get millions. Get rid of that stupid pork barrel spending ***** and God I WISH something would happen to those ***** who line their pockets at the expense of the American Tax dollar. *****!
I truly can't do anything, I go to work everyday for my family and have very little time left w/them. I depend on these people in office to "watch" out for my best interest...What the ***** am I going to do? My life isn't 1984 style yet, but I'm not worried about me...I'm worried about my kids.
American Revolution 2.0 - Dumbledorito, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7They can damn well download pr0n like the rest of us. Why should I give them a free copy of my stash?
- jeffiek, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8"As soon as we kick them out of office... no sooner no later"
And where are you going to get worthwhile replacements? It doesn't matter whether it's left or the right boot of government stepping on your neck. - redington, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8Except it is also every US government employee's duty to uphold the US Constitution, which, IMO, this is a direct violation of.
- spyd3rweb, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10newt gingrich has already suggested that.
- gmason08, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Left-Right is a Red Herring. What most people think of/are talking about when they refer to the "Media" is the Big Megaphone info (disinfo) sources, which most here should already be aware are owned/controlled by a few Mega/Multinational Conglomerates. The job of the media is to perpetuate the Left-Right Red Herring. Until you, left leaning or right leaning, come to grips with this reality you will continue to be played fools arguing over a meaningless non-reality. Of course, that is the point and purpose of the "Media" effort, tweaking your emotions to the point where you are unable to see what is really being done to you, how you are being done.
- jeffiek, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9"the reason we have three competing branches of government"
Three wasn't nearly enough. - stepnw1f, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4"Liberal retards?" Wow... such a well thought out post!
Because most people posting here on DIGG don't want our government to have anymore power to infringe upon our Freedoms, and dismiss our Constitution, you call everyone here a "liberal retard"?
Hate to break it to you, but I'm proud to be a liberal and if being concerned about losing more of my Freedoms makes me a retard, than so be it. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9And just how do we keep them out of office? They oversee the media, which defends and supports their positions and deliberately distracts viewers and readers with stupid discussions and insignificant issues. I hope and pray these people realize what is at stake.
The most convincing evidence people embrace is Building 7. Google it. Talk about it. Share it.
Lobby local politicians and local media, and encourage for visible people to speak out. Hope something better will emerge. - pandira, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The article is about surveillance and we should all remember that other countries have THEIR foreign intelligence service, and most of these guys share info. The powers that be in America don't have to spy on citizens, they can get other countries to do it for them. Check out Eschelon and Carnivore.

Terrorists want to dominate your life and force you to their viewpoint.
Bush wants to.... - jazbek, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6huh?
- BGFeltenink, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Now is probably the time to get out and buy a gun...
- Angostura, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5To an extent, I think it is the job of spy chiefs to consistently request more powers and to demonstrate the benefits such powers would offer, so I'm not too surprised when powers are requested.
... of course, it is the executive's, legislature and courts job to scrutinize such requests and say "no" in most cases. - SOULEVENT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@sporg
the others understood it, maybe you dont believe it the TRUTH either. - Dumbledorito, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3So wait. Not only does Bush want to spy on us all, he wants to outsource the jobs involved in doing it, too?
What a jerk! - davesbrain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It's like your taxes. Most peoples' tax forms are scanned through a computer, or if done electronically they're entered right from the IRS website, where a computer program analyzes the numbers. If there are any discrepancies that are outside the parameters of the program, the tax form is flagged and looked at more closely.
The same thing is happening with the NSA. Phone calls, emails, and all other electronic traffic is monitored and sorted through a computer system that is looking for certain "red flag" words. If the frequency of the "red flag" words is high enough, or the words are in certain sequences, then an NSA agent will be assigned to review the information in question.
Given the technology today there is no need for hundreds, or thousands of agents listening to every word of a taped conversation or reading through emails while sitting in a massive building filled with cubicles. - mabhatter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'll make it MORE scary. Many of the people in charge right now are the SAME ONES that made those plans you mention 30 years ago!!! Really. Guys like Rumsfield started with Nixon and agreed with his attempted cover ups way back then.. they've been covering their asses at the expense of presidents for all this time.
