- AmericanElitist, on 09/22/2008, -0/+9this is incredibly frightening. we can not give this government, any government, power to spend this kind of taxpayer money with absolutely no oversight.
- Soughtout, on 09/22/2008, -0/+6This is unbelievable. Really, it's just unbelievable. Leading economist are saying this is the worse economic disaster in our nation's history and I believe them. Even Alan Greenspan who's 80+ years old said he hasn't seen an economic calamity like this in his lifetime. And what does John McCain do? He blames this catastophe on Barack Obama and swears that he; Mr. John-Deregulation-Bush-clone-McCain had nothing to do with it. This is just unbelievable!
- algaeturd, on 09/22/2008, -0/+5There is NOTHING 'conservative' about the modern day republican. They're not conservatives, they're THIEVES.
- temptxan, on 09/22/2008, -0/+4Republican's can be counted on for only one thing, lining the pockets of the ruling elite. These fatcats, who are so greedy and inept, and led us to this point are expecting to reap great financial rewards at the cost of hundreds of billions, to be paid for by the American public. The same public that has seen stagnant wages, decreased health care coverage, billions squandered to enrich Halliburton, KBR, and other friends of George. This is beyond ridiculous. Any Republican that speaks out about finances should be rudely ignored.

- Meadow113, on 09/22/2008, -0/+3There will be oversight. There will be lots of changes made, oversight, and titles and foreign banks will be excluded they aren't going to get the whole wish list here.
If I were the democrats I would add into the bill that Bush and Cheney agree to resign. And I would make sure that enough democrats vote no that every single republican in the house and senate have to vote yes to get it passed. - lapdogs, on 09/23/2008, -0/+1Oversight? Are you kidding me?
Didn't Congress get the message that Bush is running a Dictatorship, because Bush always wanted to be a Dictator?
Carry on with your basket weaving Congress! - hawkeye17, on 09/22/2008, -0/+1The Republican pyramid scheme is crashing down on our heads. This whole episode is proof that the Republican philosophy of governing is intellectually and morally corrupt. The Right finally got control of 2 of 3 branches of government from 1994 to 2006 and THIS is what happens when you let Republicans govern.
