- 11Heather, on 10/10/2007, -3/+54Why won't Republicans impeach him? What leverage does Bush have over them? Their party is sinking because of one man/moron.
- downwiththenwo, on 10/10/2007, -12/+57He may not leave office. The government may stage another terror attack and we may go to full scale martial law and bush may become dictator

- 1carmen, on 10/10/2007, -5/+34Will he leave office as the record holder of the most disliked President on all measures who wasn`t impeached? I hope not.
- peterjmag, on 10/10/2007, -2/+30Sadly, America doesn't have the balls to do anything about it, so your answer is most likely a yes...
- pintomp3, on 10/10/2007, -3/+28if you look at his comment history, he's not being sarcastic. scary.
- EvilGeniusTodd, on 10/10/2007, -8/+30At this point I honestly think Bush could get busted red handed snorting lines of coke while brutally murdering a classroom full of african american children. As long as there was no sex invovled it doesn't seem like there is anything a president can do to get impeached.
- yugnats, on 10/10/2007, -2/+23i'm in ur whitehouse lowrin ur stanrds.
- Coridan, on 10/10/2007, -4/+23Somebody pinch me and wake me from this horrible nightmare that is the Bush administration.
- jessehadden, on 10/10/2007, -3/+22Wouldn't it be nice if there was an opposition party that would end the war, restore the Constitution, and impeach this historically-despised criminal? Wouldn't it be nice if there was an opposition party, period?
- trghpy, on 10/10/2007, -6/+24Bush: Setting the new lowest standard in American Presidencies..
- OPMT, on 10/10/2007, -6/+24Well done to all the ***** heads who voted Bush. I hope you've sobered up and can learn from this.
- IslandDog, on 10/10/2007, -3/+20Democrat controlled Congress. A failure in their own right.
- LordSlashstab55, on 10/10/2007, -1/+18Carter is a ***** genius compared to this Chimp in power
- Bhima, on 10/10/2007, -2/+17Man, I've been saying that for nearly 7 years and look at the stupid ***** that keeps going on.
I'm not saying believe all the silly conspiracy theories… I’m just saying don’t get to comfortable with the idea that democracy and freedom (and sanity) in the United States of America are unassailable. - rauz, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16Holy crap. Twilight Zone scary.
- 1337Einstein, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16Instead we had a republican send people to die...and cripple our economy... congrats on being so positive about it, though.
- evilregis, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15Don't give him that much credit. Sen. Craig, Sen. Vidder, Sen. Stevens, Foley, Tom DeLay, Gonzalez, Cheney... and that's off the top of my head.
- Bhima, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13It's interesting that a lot of conservatives still hold the torch for whining about Carter. I can't decide if it gas prices at the pump or that short bit with high interest rates. Neither of which were his doing.
Given these facts I feel bad for the next president because all the effects of the irresponsible policies of the Bush administration are going to make that president look really bad. - dime, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1214% isn't his approval rating you stupid *****... it's the percentage of bills passed that he strongly supported. It's referring to the fact that compromise is at a historic low - the bills he supports are not moderate enough and/or he's unable to sway the Congress to vote for them.
Bush's personal agenda has been stopped. The digg assault on critical thought and basic reading comprehension, however, rages on! - uselessexpert, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Even as a republican, I am tired of his ways and his cabinet. Just another year and 2 months to go. I don't think a republican will win the White House. But man, I would like to see Ron Paul in the chase...
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+14People like you are responsible. Remember - your vote for Dubya was a vote fur Gawd! May your next door neighbors be eternally gay, your boss Muslim and you get hit by a flying Nascar. Gawd bless Jesus and jets with big bombs! Amen.
- ajeddi, on 10/10/2007, -4/+14Sorry dude but you really scare us!!! REALLY!!
- MrSteamTank, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13You know that most other countries in the world do have a third and even fourth political party? Canada has this. Even my home country(Uruguay) used to have the same 2 party system as the states, however, the people their wised up to their crap and eventually voted in a 3rd party which rose through the ranks.
Other choices do exist!! - Azm0dAn, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13I really pity all the Americans who didn't vote for him. As for the rest, well... I have faith that by now you have regretted your bad decision!
- Cerpin_Taxt, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10Shh... The NSA is listening.
- natedouglas, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Carter's been vindicated by time, too, particularly with the hostage crisis. I don't expect Bush will be vindicated by time.
- CPoe, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Why hasn't anyone assassinated this guy? I would gladly trade his life for the troops overseas...
- dftpnkezln, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10So you cant even blame your pastor for being stupid?
- WyllyWylly, on 10/10/2007, -4/+12You're an ass. Father figure? An impetuous, self righteous father figure, maybe. In case you missed it, Japan was responsible for numerous atrocities before "we" rebuilt them - witness Nanking. Iraq is guilty of nothing more than being a convenient scapegoat. I'm so tired of reading drek about this war being "the right thing to do." It's right for the US to invade a lesser nation based on lies? Really? All the war has done is leave the middle east less stable than it was previously while draining money and morale from the coffers of the United States. It's also reduced the credibility of the United States on the world stage. Do some reading, the facts are all about you.
- MacEnvy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Ah, I wondered why you were on my block list. Thanks for reminding me.
- meechwings, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10Clearly spending $100+ billion on two wars with no end in sight was a much better idea!
- Amablue, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7That would only be worse for him.
- Jugalator, on 10/10/2007, -4/+11Who are those 14 percent? :-p
- unsolicited, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Americans prefer Conviction over Competencies.
- alex7575, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8@RGWX
Would care to enlighten us? Can you give us our economic numbers now, and from 8 years ago?
A democrat (Clinton) left us with a federal budget surplus, a republican (Bush) took care of that in less than a year.
So you like driving on that freeway? Kinda nice when there's lights on on the streets at night? Get water coming to your house? Maybe electricity? All those things come from taxes, the war you love so much, do you think that money comes only from republicans?
You make fun of the guy because of his handle, "RGWX", yeah that's cool too. - Bhima, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Not unless it affected gas prices and fast food.
The Hitler/Stalin ticket could come to power on a platform of cheaper than 2 dollar per gallon gas and 55 cent woppers - iucraigmc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Politicians are just that, politicians. Go back and read some of the quotes of our founding fathers (YES, FOUNDING FATHERS) and you will realize just how bad the political system has become. I do not care if you are talking about Republocrats or Demicans, the fact is, politicians no longer adhere to a system of moral values that they will stand up againts all odds. They go where the winds take them.
Just you wait until the storm hits, then we will all realize how incompetent and poor we have allowed the system to become. Katrina was only a taste. After all, we are in a democracy, everyone is complaining about the way things are, but I don't see any action being taken to change it. The only way to change things in a democracy is through the people, of whom typically enjoy complaining more than acting, sadly I'm guilty of this myself. - vampiregabe, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10And congress has historic lows also.
IMPEACH CONGRESS!!! - Waiting2awake, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7a fatty kneeling in front of you...? Just saying.
- Tippis, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Now where's that quote of Reagan calling dubya a never-do-well shiftless kid who's not fit for honest work..?
- spartanfox, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6The reason the Democrats don't impeach Bush is because they don't want to look like the witch-hunting Republicans of the Clinton era. The reason the Republicans don't impeach Bush is because they don't want to look like they are a fractured party (which, imo, they should do in order to save face). Either way, this impeachment talk is moot, because both parties are too scared to start up proceedings against him. He's likely here to stay until 2009, just remember that when you vote in '08 for our next president.
- charlie55, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6this isnt an approval rating, it is a measure of how much his ***** is working in congress.
- Nougat, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9It's got so much more to do with whether or not we went into Iraq. It's about the abuse of the power of the executive branch on a wide variety of areas.
And, let me remind everyone again - it wasn't a "vote for war." It was a vote to give the president the power to take the country to war, with an expectation that such power be used judiciously. At the time, anyone who dared go against the wishes of the asministration was labeled a supporter of terrorism.
The request for this power was that it was going to be used as a strong diplomatic threat to force Saddam Hussein into abiding by UN resolutions. But it wasn't. The moment that vote passed, any talks of diplomacy were dropped and plans for war were put into high gear. The citizenry was brought into alignment with the administration's plan with the use of crappy intelligence and lies.
JamesSpaza, I know you have a hard time thinking about complex issues, which is the reason you have to frame it as "They voted for the war," when that's way too simple. I hope that someday you'll come squinting out of your mother's basement. - hobonetweaver, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Think about the ensuing nation-wide lock-down and expansion of executive powers if such a 'terrorist atrocity' were to occur. Not to mention, Dick would now be in charge [officially]. Honestly, I think things would only get a lot worse if that happened.
- charlie55, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8if you dont favor a war, you shouldn't give the president authority to start one. you should withhold the authority for when you believe a war is necessary.
futhermore, if you are worried enough about what the administration will label you, that you decide against what you think is right, you shouldnt be a leader. - vault, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8A lot of American voters care more about 'moral issues' ironically than foreign policy. Sure, Iraq is a big issue- but when you add up abortion, gay marriage, immigration, etc. it's not such a clear-cut case for a Democratic president in 2008.
They're trying to distance themselves from Bush, but no one seriously thinks impeaching him will work nor would it do anything but make them look even worse to the Republican base. Sure the Democrats would love an impeachment but they're not going to vote for a Republican anyway. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5RTFA *****.....!!!!!
NOT AN APPROVAL RATING!!!!!!!!
Measure of bills passed that Bush has supported.
RTFA!!!!!!!!!!! - Zeonix, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5The media is what made him out to be a god in the first place. It was only after his ***** ups became too obvious to ignore that they began to parrot what Americans have been saying and thinking for quite some time.
- natedouglas, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6If Bush didn't cripple our economy, then how could a Democrat? "I've got a great idea... let's lower taxes and increase spending!"
