It's the Democrats, It's the liberals. It's the ACLU. It's Clinton. It's Monica. It's the "climate of permissiveness". It's France. It's the liberal media. It's Clinton's p*nis. It's Hillary. It's Gov. Dean. We never could have known they'd fly planes into buildings. "No actionable intelligence". They didn't tell us to do anything. O'Neill's lying. Clarke's lying. General Shinseki's lying. The Union of Concerned Scientists is lying. Our own weapons inspector David Kay's lying. Wilson's lying. John Dean's lying. Newsweek lied! CBS lied! Everyone's lying but us. We had to lie. We never lied.
Plame outed herself. Her husband outed her. The liberals outed her. No one outed her, since everyone already knew her covert identity. Rove had nothing to do with it. No comment. Lib'ral, lib'ral, lib'ral.
It's the libs that tried to pull Schiavo's feeding tube. It doesn't matter that DeLay pulled his own dad's feeding tube. "Culture of life". It's Janet Jackson's boobs; it's the Statue of Justice's boobs. Reading the news might cloud my judgement. It's the "decade our government...blinded itself to our enemies". It's the homosexuals wanting to marry. "Restore honor and dignity to the White House". A decision to go to war wasn't a decision to go to war. "No actionable intelligence". It's the pledge of allegiance. They're taking God out of America. Osama didn't tell us when, how, where, and by what means he'd attack, and he didn't leave a forwarding address. The 9/11 panel is biased against us. Saddam = Al Qaida. Saddam = Al Qaida.
Chalabi's an honorable man and I believe everything he says about WMDs. Chalabi's a crook and he passed secrets to Iran. Chalabi's the liberals' fault because they didn't shoot us when we started using his "intelligence". Chalabi? I don't know any 'Chalabi'!
It's just a few dead-enders. They'll be gone when we capture Saddam. They'll be gone when we capture Saddam's sons. They'll be gone when we hand over "sovereignty". They'll be gone when Iraq has elections. They'll be gone in 12 years. They'll never be gone.
We fight them in London so we don't have to fight them, er, uh, well, can't get fooled again!
Bolton didn't lie! He just knowingly gave inaccurate answers under oath!
Aw, so what's another ISLAMIC STATE in the mideast? It's not like Bush has made it a home for terrorists or anything!
It's all these former staffers hawking their books. Money never corrupted anyone. "I'm a uniter, not a divider!" It's the stem cells. It's the feminazis, the intellectual elitists, and the ecoterrorists.
It's the Hurricane, It's the victims. It's the poor. It's the dead. It's the disabled... the elderly. It's those that didn't evacuate. It's the buses.
It's Cthulhu. It's the martians, It's Mickey Mouse, It's The Tooth Fairy, etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc.,
It's ALWAYS anyone but the GOP!! - ZenFountain, on 11/06/2007, -12/+78Where were you Mr. Bush when sent your armed forces in Iraq with no plans?
Where were you Mr. Bush when Paul Bremer disbanded the Iraqi army?
Where were you Mr. Bush when Rumsfeld denied their was an insurgency?
Where were you Mr. Bush when Cheney said the insurgency was in its last throes?
Every step of the way the Bush administration has ***** this up. They hung our armed forces out to dry in that hell hole and bankrupted America. They destroyed Iraq and left millions killed, wounded, displaced and homeless. There is no chance to rebuild Iraq and leave a friendly democracy behind...any chance of that was long gone by the end of 2003. Instead we go on living this nightmare while mad politicians keep sending more into the meat grinder and borrowing money to pay for it. And Bush has the audacity to wonder why the American people want to get the hell out? All they care about now is cleverly trying to blame anyone besides themselves. They should be tried and hung, the old fashioned way where the entire posse was hung together. - inactive, on 11/04/2007, -6/+57For more than 200 years the separation of government was not a waste of time. The founders lived in a time where tyranny was prevalent. They studied civilizations and governments and knew that men, when they get power, become corrupt. The Declaration of Independence, Constitution and Bill of Rights were not Hallmark feel-good greeting cards. They were designed as barriers to stop the abuse of power. Bush says checks and balances are a waste of time. That and his total disregard for it is treason.
Don't we see where this is going? Defile the constitution and replace it with fascism. They prefer Nazism over the constitution. Have we had enough yet? - SheilaNoya, on 11/06/2007, -7/+53I have a question for Mr. Bush:
"What does America have to show for the $3 TRILLION in new debt that the Republican congress incurred during your first 6 years in office?"
We've created MORE terrorists, lost our former allies, lost all credibility in the world, divided Americans into an "Us vs. Them" culture, and bankrupted America. What have we built here at home, and what have we done that benefits AMERICANS? - Condottieri, on 10/31/2007, -3/+32Gay old pedophiles.
- pintomp3, on 11/01/2007, -9/+34maybe if bush friends weren't a bunch of liar and criminals there wouldn't have to be so many investigations.
- kgorczyn, on 11/06/2007, -12/+36This just infuriates me.
Why hasn't anyone honestly taken out this asshat? You know how many library's, schools, etc. they would have named after themselves after a few years? - thefandango, on 10/31/2007, -2/+20Cthulhu '08!!!!!
why vote for a lesser evil? - Klak, on 11/01/2007, -3/+20what i don't get is why it's congress' fault if they pass a spending bill then Bush vetos it because he doesnt like it.
- inactive, on 10/31/2007, -2/+18Our government is designed to police itself. The idea is to avoid a government that abandons the rule of law and the Constitution. That is why we have Checks And Balances.
You say that the job of the Congress is to pass Bush's spending bill. That shows that you do not understand the organizational responsibilities of our government. The Congress's two most important jobs are:
1.- Oversight of the executive branch - so you see the investigations are absolutely and exactly the job that the Constitution directs the Congress to do.
2.- Pass legislation that determines the course of government - The executive branch of government (the President) is expected to administer the will of the populace as indicated to it by legislation. The "job" of the Congress is Not to do the President's bidding.
Your interpretation of responsibilities mimics Bush's and both are leagues away from our history or any honest interpretation of our charter.
You are a tool. If you had lived in Germany in 1932 you would have been advocating martial law and the closing of the Reichstag. - inactive, on 10/31/2007, -4/+18You forgot that he destroyed the Dollar
- yunus, on 11/01/2007, -3/+17And Bush has "Wasted Lives"
Which is worse? - Herostratus, on 11/04/2007, -2/+15Grumpy old perverts!
- irvman21, on 10/31/2007, -7/+20I don't get how most of the public misses the obvious on this. Wasting time is exactly what the Democrats have been doing from day one. They don't want to take the responsibility for pulling the troops out of Iraq, they want to appear like they want to pull the troops out of Iraq. The DNC thinks sending bills to Bush that they know he will veto will help them win the White House in 2008. That is far more important to them than getting the troops out or passing that child health care bill. It is simple politics. The can get on the record for having voted to pull the troops out, without actually having to take responsibility for the backlash that will occur in Iraq when the troops leave.
- zushiba, on 11/04/2007, -0/+13There is nothing we are doing in Iraq that is "on behalf of the American people"
- BoneheadFarker, on 10/31/2007, -6/+18Isn't that cute...you still think the Democrats are any different. The day Americans realize en masse that they can vote for someone other then a Democrat or a Republican is the day you'll start fixing your country...
- BlacklabelSAR, on 10/31/2007, -1/+12My 70-year old mother, who is a Mormon and a retired nurse, loves children and animals, also wants someone to "take out" Bush. She said as much while chatting with me on the phone. Should we arrest her for having an opinion? Is expressing an opinion now criminal? If so, then we really have nothing to lose as the value of our lives has been stolen. Do you really want an angry populace of citizens that have nothing to lose? There aren't enough cops in the world to handle that. We'd start seeing heads on pikes very soon.
Oh, one more thing....don't be fooled into thinking that the left VS right false choice is real. Both are puppets being manipulated by the same puppeteer. - MeMongo, on 10/31/2007, -2/+12"We arm the world, we arm these little countries, and then we send troops over to blow the ***** out of 'em. We're like the bullies of the world; we're like Jack Palance in the movie Shane, throwing the pistol at the sheepherder's feet.
Palance: "Pick it up."
Sheepherder: "I don't wanna pick it up, mister, you'll shoot me."
Palance: "Pick up the gun."
Sheepherder: "Look mister, I don't want no trouble, I just came to town to get some hard rock candy for my kids, and some gingham for my wife. I don't even know what gingham is, but she goes through about 4 or 5 rolls a week of that stuff. I don't want no trouble, mister."
Palance: "Pick up the gun."
[Sheepherder reluctantly picks up the gun. Palance promptly shoots him dead.]
Palance: "You all saw him. He had a gun." - inactive, on 10/31/2007, -0/+10It's not longer and bloodier than I originally thought...
- thedarkrabbit, on 10/31/2007, -3/+12Bush 'wasted time' trying to be a President....
- darkciti2, on 10/31/2007, -1/+10Wasting time is what George Bush has done in the past 7 years.
Name ONE success of George Bush. I'll name it for you, extending Daylight Saving Time.
I'd rather have a zero sum Congress, than a negative Administration that hurts us more than helps us. - relentless1914, on 10/31/2007, -2/+11Dugg up for your realistic grasp of the situation. Anyone who touts either party line without looking critically at the actions, (not just the words), will see that the democrats are not doing what people gave them the majority in both bodies of congress to do.
If there is to be a savior in American politics, he will not be a republican or a democrat.... - GuyeNoir, on 11/01/2007, -1/+10Wasn't he on vacation on his ranch in Texas for a while?
- inactive, on 11/06/2007, -8/+17Wasting time is an accurate depiction on the Democrat controlled Congress. I watched then as they made promises and debated meaningless resolutions. What they have not done is put forth a budget for the president to sign or stopped appropriations for the Iraq use of force.
In '06 they promised to run the government the right way and not by continuing resolution and get our troops out of Iraq.
Today we have more troops than then and they still have yet to pass a budget.
No wonder they have 11%approval - MonsterChaOS, on 10/31/2007, -1/+10Don't forget your civil liberties either.
- freezeout, on 10/31/2007, -0/+8must be fun living in Bizarro world where failure means success and military occupation means freedom
- endlessoul, on 10/31/2007, -0/+8Agreed.
"Garbage in, garbage out."
We need someone in politics who isn't political. - TheZorch, on 10/31/2007, -9/+17I totally agree with you. The GOP has nearly ruined this country and I hope the Dems get the White House in 2008 because we all know we can't afford to have another ***** who'll be just as bad as Bush in the Oval Office for another 4 years. That is unless Bush suspends the elections and declares himself Prime Minister or walks into Congress in black robes and calls himself emperor.
- Amazetbm, on 10/31/2007, -0/+8This finger pointing is beyond annoying at this point. Politicians in both parties are full of crap
- AxeSwinger, on 10/31/2007, -1/+8I agree however, you send the bill and make Bush veto it. You keep sending it up weekly, leave no doubt where you stand. You speak truth to lies; you don't play half assed politics trying to cull votes for an election 2 years away. You hold people accountable for their actions, you impeach regardless of how long until the next election.
- xsecretfiles, on 10/31/2007, -4/+11Yet, there is a democratic congress RIGHT NOW that promised to bring back the troops a YEAR AGO and still does nothing...can we blame the dems now?
- Haohmaru, on 11/01/2007, -0/+7Wow, now here's someone who watches FOX.
Hey, did you hear? Saddam never support Al Qaeda. - pasatiempos, on 10/31/2007, -2/+9"Pick up the gun."
- MadKennyP, on 11/01/2007, -0/+7You are quite stupid.
On Aug. 23, 2007 the national debt officially reached $8.98 trillion. That level represents an increase of $3.25 trillion (57 percent) since Jan. 20, 2001, when George W. Bush became the 43rd president of the United States.
http://www.washingtontimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/artic ... - nblsavage, on 10/31/2007, -7/+14You ever hear of checks and balances you loudmouth cretin?
- inactive, on 10/31/2007, -3/+9The dollar was destroyed the second they put the federal reserve in charge of it. The twenty dollar American Eagle gold coin is worth almost $800.00. The same amount of gasoline that it bought when "W" was sworn in can be purchased today but the federal reserve note will not. The cost of fuel in America has risen along with the increased consumption of seven million barrels a day running the undeclared war in the middle east.
- honemasterT, on 10/31/2007, -1/+7The solution for this is somewhat simple and in front of us. Go register GOP if you have to and VOTE in the primary for Ron Paul.
Lest DumbYa forget.. he was the one sitting there, badmouthing Clinton for involving us in Kosovo and in African genocide at the time.
Who wasted time and money trying to get to the bottom of the definition of 'IS' the GOP. Newt Gingrich, contract with amerika?
remember that?
Billy's only crime was that he had poor taste in fat chicks, hell at least JFK was doing Marilyn :-)
Not saying that Ron Paul can do it all by himself.. (there is still congress to cleanup) but it would sure be a start to taking back this democracy! - inactive, on 10/31/2007, -0/+6You don't need to override a veto if you vote "NO" on a spending bill.
- irvman21, on 10/31/2007, -4/+10We still have troops in Germany, Japan, Italy, and Korea. I have never understood why anyone thought Iraq would be any different in that respect.
- Napoleone, on 11/01/2007, -10/+16When did this "trying" take place exactly? Cos' I haven't seen it.
What they need to invest their time is in trying to remove Bush from office before he starts a third Middle East, and likely world war. - endlessoul, on 11/04/2007, -0/+6Why am I being dugg down?
"It's hard work - Bush has taken 418 vacation days, that's nine weeks a year" http://www.americablog.com/2007/08/its-hard-work-b ... - DieselDan, on 10/31/2007, -4/+9I've never wished I could digg a comment twice more than I want to for yours.
The truly amazing part of your synopsis is that the administration seems totally oblivious to the established pattern, and just keeps playing the same card over and over again. The truly sad part is that no one that's been demonized by this routine has been strong enough to really call them out on it. - inactive, on 10/31/2007, -2/+7"This war is a lot longer and bloodier than we originally thought."
Who the hell is this "we" you're speaking of? What brain-dead morons didn't see this coming? Other than our illustrious president, that is. I would say that he duped the country, but he didn't even try. You people who just sat by and watched while Bush went off to fight a war without a plan sicken me. What the ***** was wrong with you? Why weren't you making a stand? Do you have any idea how freakin' annoying it is to take a stand and fight dearly for something, writing letters, protesting, etc., as a few of us did at the start of the war, and just to have people turn their heads in indifference, and then have those same people, five years later, come back and say "Well gee, maybe this war wasn't such a great idea"? YOU THINK!? - Herostratus, on 10/31/2007, -3/+8Because the war in Iraq and soon to be in Iran is imperialist *****. And you need to read a book.
- glasnostic, on 10/31/2007, -0/+5Yeah it’s pretty ironic now.
- clothmonkey, on 10/31/2007, -1/+6Umm, I might be wrong here, but I think that if Clinton gets the office, you can look forward to more of the same.
- inactive, on 10/31/2007, -4/+9The House of representatives is the sole source for all spending and tax bills. They have no reason to pass the budget that "W" presented. As in years past the budget submitted by the president doesn't look like the budget he signs into law. Let them investigate as much as they need to but let them remember the Constitution delegates the responsibility of the spending and tax bills on them. They are clearly wasting the time because they don't even work five days a week on it. As someone who has the television set to cspan to hear what these people have to say I have noticed the Democrats of March were calling the Republicans lazy because they didn't work five days a week.
Here we are at the end of October and they didn't work five days a week and they didn't pass the spending and tax bills they should have before the fiscal year ended weeks ago.
I am no fan of "W" and actively opposed his nomination as a candidate and his election as president.
In 2000 and in answer to a question about the troops in Bosnia since 1995 who then president Clinton said would be home in a year he replied "As soon as I am elected" they would come home.
I have to wonder, does he believe he has not been elected? - Klak, on 10/31/2007, -3/+8whats it like to have every one of your posts dugg down to -20?
- endlessoul, on 11/01/2007, -1/+6A while? Try the most vacation time taken by any president.
Ever. - yunus, on 11/04/2007, -2/+6Well, after serving in the military from 1999-2006 I became a government contractor in the IT field. I still serve in the Air National Guard today. I also deployed to Afghanistan and Uzbekistan in early 2002.
What have YOU done with your life. -
