- Insightful, on 03/05/2008, -4/+311When telecoms cut off FBI for not paying its bills, what did Bush do then?
Neither Clinton nor George H.W. Bush allowed telecom to spy on us - are they unpatriotic as well?
I am tired of Bush saying he must be allowed to do anything and everything to "defend" this nation or else the boogey man will come to get us. Get a clue. The Constitution is what needs defending from this Presidency.
For those not aware, here is the oath of the President:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oath_of_office_of_the ... - GhostyBoy, on 03/05/2008, -5/+200We should be saying *thank* you? Oh, damn. I had it all wrong. Okay let me try again:
***** YOU! Oh *****...I'l' get it one of these days.... - inactive, on 03/05/2008, -3/+153I guess we should also thank Bush for being a corrupt lying failure, if that's the reasoning we are using.
- toddcat, on 03/05/2008, -3/+136If they acted within the law, why should they need immunity Bushie? Stupid mofo.
- Arcueid01, on 03/05/2008, -5/+124Wow, that man is such a piece of *****. Well congrats to all you morons who voted for him and ***** you too all of you who voted for him twice.
- inactive, on 03/05/2008, -2/+97Thanks to the illegal wiretapping, the fascists are able to blackmail congress into doing exactly what it is told. Blackmail was always the main reason for the wiretapping, "terrorism" was just the excuse given.
- hawkeye17, on 03/05/2008, -3/+95***** off George.
- ClosedCaption, on 03/05/2008, -3/+86Let the courts decide...
PS. If this was about keeping us safe why did the telecoms stop "helping to keep us safe" when the bill was past due? Do we really have to pay for Protection? Tony Soprano thinks so but thats the mob..
wait.. - Denneval, on 03/05/2008, -1/+77So the wiretapping is based upon suspicion?
I am suspicious of Mr. Bush.
There. I said it. Tap away. - thebellmaster1x, on 03/05/2008, -3/+77Let me imply something, Mr. President: YOU are an unpatriotic son of a bitch. "Patriotic" means that you respect what this country was founded on, not that you screw the country out of hundreds of billions of dollars, send brave, young soldiers to their deaths under the guise of "spreading democracy," and get the ***** back to the White House from your stupid ranch so you can awkwardly salute the flag during the national anthem for some meaningless ceremony.
You mark my words, Diggers—I mean exactly what I say here: This man is a black stain on our history, and I would give anything, ANYTHING, to have what could have been eight years of prosperity and happiness back.
There were ways to rebound from September 11. Some were right, some were wrong. Trying to see how much of the Constitution you could violate because "oh, terrorism"—guess what—that was a wrong one. - lhbaker, on 03/05/2008, -2/+74Thanks, telecoms, for willfully violating our Constitutional rights.
- openj, on 03/05/2008, -2/+71Al-Qaeda's top agent strikes again!
- felman87, on 03/05/2008, -2/+69That's like thanking someone for raping and mugging you.
- eltolete, on 03/05/2008, -3/+62Thank you... for bringing tyranny to America.
- h4ckler, on 03/05/2008, -1/+47When you pry my thanks from my cold dead hand!
- swrostmore, on 03/05/2008, -1/+44The taps were in place before 9/11/2001 , so the telecom's track record for stopping terrorist attacks isn't so hot.
- slayerab, on 03/05/2008, -3/+44Americans ought to say '***** you' to bush
- inactive, on 03/05/2008, -4/+44Why hasn't this tool been impeached/indicted yet?
- hadak, on 03/05/2008, -1/+38***** you, Bush.
- CogitatorX, on 03/05/2008, -1/+36No matter who becomes the next Prez it's going to take forever to get the smell of ***** out of the Whitehouse.
- mpn401, on 03/05/2008, -4/+39Unfortunately, the best of his ability isn't much more than the ability of a box of tic-tacs.
- michelle70, on 03/05/2008, -2/+35Surprisingly, nobody gives a ***** what George Bush thinks we should do.
- badassninja, on 03/05/2008, -2/+34Al-Qaeda thanks you for turning the USA into a while of *****. I on the other hand do not.
- inactive, on 03/05/2008, -1/+32Bush can kiss my hairy ass. Stupid *****' brain damaged *****.
- insinuate, on 03/05/2008, -2/+32Americans: Bush 'Ought to go ***** himself'
- Upon66, on 03/05/2008, -2/+31Impeach Bush?
- inactive, on 03/05/2008, -3/+32IMPEACH GEORGE W. BUSH NOW!
- inactive, on 03/05/2008, -2/+31I would personally like to congratulate Bush for a job well done. Alone. In an empty room. With a crowbar and some salt.
- inactive, on 03/05/2008, -1/+28That is exactly the point...
Immunity - conferring a status on a person or body that makes that person or body free from otherwise legal obligations such as, for example, liability for damages or punishment for CRIMINAL ACTS.
Every time Bush/someone says "immunity" he is implicating the telecom industry. - someguyouknow, on 03/05/2008, -1/+27@ VacaN
Can you show me the proof that we have stopped terrorist attacks with this illegal wiretapping? - jackspade, on 03/05/2008, -2/+27HAHAH, this scum bucket eviscerated the principles of our country, tanked our economy and in a couple of months he going back with his pockets filled leaving us to reap what he sow. AMAZING
- carpespasm, on 03/05/2008, -1/+26you're not rich enough to be suspicious of someone.
- Yarmin3, on 03/05/2008, -1/+26Why stop at wire tapping? That's still pretty hard to catch all possible terrorist attacks. Why don't we embed a chip in everyone so everyone can be monitored 24/7. As long as you don't do anything wrong you have nothing to worry about, right?
This is the kind of thinking the Fourth Amendment was established for.
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
How much more clear can you get? Bush is clearly violating the constitution! - aerotive, on 03/05/2008, -1/+26No I will not thank the telecoms you murderous *****.
- michelle70, on 03/05/2008, -4/+29It's funny how it's always the "libs" who believe in upholding the Constitution. I guess the founding fathers were a pretty unpatriotic bunch.
- ISurfTooMuch, on 03/05/2008, -0/+24What are you talking about? I thank the ACLU and EFF every single day.
As for Bush, I'm just amazed he hasn't managed to flush the Constitution and this country completely down the toilet yet, despite his best efforts. - Langford, on 03/05/2008, -0/+23The capital is full of corruption. They know that whatever they let him get away with today, they will be allowed to do tomorrow.
- Shaman760, on 03/05/2008, -2/+24Go back to your Ranch, Brokeback Bush. You are worthless. Ride out the rest of your term in that bottle you seem to talk to every day.
Life is starting to get better little by little here in these United States with the end of your regime drawing near. - inactive, on 03/05/2008, -1/+21oh yes, thank you so much for the murder and destruction of so many things that were great in this world! Thank you for invading Iraq and killing millions of people for the purpose of profiteering and control! Thank you for terrifying the population so much so that they gave up their basic human rights!
Thank you so very much. - inactive, on 03/05/2008, -1/+20Dear God, he makes me so damn angry. If they are really helping us this much, does he really need to pass a law protecting them from doing illegal things?
- lickmylovepump, on 03/05/2008, -4/+23George Bush, I have a message for you: "You want to tap something? You can tap my ... ... wait, that won't work. Well, ***** off."
- jon30041, on 03/05/2008, -5/+24No, stop thinking of him as stupid. This is where we go wrong. He has the means, he is capable. He just DOESN'T CARE ABOUT OUR COUNTRY. He has the best of EVERYTHING at his disposal, but it is always not enough? We beat EVERY country around the world in military power! In intelligence! And we still have to do all this?
I call *****. His 'idiot president' ruse has had us all fueled. He's not an idiot, he is smart enough to get into the Oval Office and then lie to one of the greatest nations in the world and get away with it.
Didn't Sun Tzu say 'never underestimate your enemy'? We've been doing just that. We've been boxing with a pro circuit caliber guy as if he was still punching out hobos. And if he really is akin to a hobo? Hell, we should still up our game to pro-status. Never underestimate your enemy. - Jenadae, on 03/05/2008, -3/+21Thank you != ***** you.
- jeffsback2223, on 03/05/2008, -1/+19I'll thank the telecoms when they lick my left nut. Seriously, Bush "Ought to be grateful" that we haven't started a violent revolution yet.
- Zuggy, on 03/05/2008, -0/+17Holding up the ideals a country is founded on is the most patriotic thing a person can do. Mr. Bush, you are the unpatriotic terrorist, not I.
- carve, on 03/05/2008, -0/+16That is what I've been saying! His job isn't, primarily, to protect American lives- it is to defend the constitution and uphold the rule of law. If he can protect more American lives within that framework, great! But, as it stands now, he is doing the OPPOSITE of what he was elected to do...failing at the most basic and fundamental requirements of his office. And now he expects to be THANKED for it!?
"People willing to trade their freedom for temporary security deserve neither and will lose both."
-Benjamin Franklin - airwalkery2k, on 03/05/2008, -4/+20Heck, I'm just gonna go all out on this one and be inclusive--Thank you, heartless corporations.
Thank you Wal-Mart. Thank you Comcast. Thank you Best Buy. Thank you AT&T. Thank you Bank of America. Thank you Gamestop. Thank you Starbucks.
Thanks to all of you for making massive profits in spite of your terrible practices. - alex7575, on 03/05/2008, -2/+18How long until this becomes inaccurate? I mean with video and all ... it could still be inaccurate right...?
- DogBotherer, on 03/05/2008, -0/+16...just as CORRUPT as Bush is.
FTFY - BossKey, on 03/05/2008, -0/+16We ARE thanking the American Patriots who fight the erosion of our hard-won American constitutional freedoms.
That's why we don't approve of Bush's traitorous actions! -
