Buchanan: Mexico Conspiring To "Re-Annex" Seven Southwest States (Video)

thinkprogress.org — Appearing on Imus In the Morning to promote his new book, State of Emergency, Pat Buchanan asserted that the Mexican government has a "direct program" to reannex "the seven states of the American Southwest." The first step is for Mexico "to push the poor, unemployed, and uneducated into the United States."

  • jamesgriffith1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Buchanan may be a nut but he's not the only one who believes this. I live in Houston and a lot of the Mexicans that live here want this to happen. They are not shy about it. If you ask they will tell you that we took this land and it is our fault that Mexico is poor. It may be ridiculous but that doesn't mean they don't want it to happen.
