- sammyjames, on 09/13/2008, -1/+10Please tell everyone about this. It is vitally important. People, especially Christian conservatives, need to know what a nutjob this Palin person is.
- freespeechmama, on 09/13/2008, -0/+6Please share this article with everyone that you can. The implications for our foreign policy are enormous. I'm very concerned about her apocalyptic beliefs, along with McCain's penchant for military aggression (beligerant approach to foreign affairs) and famously bad temper. Heaven help us!
- astroknave, on 09/13/2008, -1/+7Likely that this is an abuse of DMCA copyright law.
Looks like either the Republican Party or the Assemblies of God church have taken this move right out the Cult of Scientology playbook. - NewsForWombats, on 09/13/2008, -0/+3Whether or not it was actually Palin's church last Thursday or 10 years ago isn't the point, is my guess. That video was part of a commonsensical effort if you give a darn about the republic, an effort I think a lot of folks--right, left, and center--don't get: to try to educate Americans, and particularly journalists (who tend to be not well-educated about religious matters) in order to prompt them to [drumroll] ask a simple question!!! Which is, "Hey, Gov. Palin, we gotta know: do you believe in this apocalyptic End Times stuff?" If so, she'd almost certainly be the first Veep in US history to really do so, and if she became President, the implications of her basically taking the Book of Revelation as a guide for foreign policy are potentially catastrophic. (Not to mention heretical according to historical Christian orthodoxy, including by not limited to the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church.)
- powermonay, on 09/15/2008, -0/+3YouTube got the spooks?? lol!
Palin and her church reminds me of those women in the movie Wicker Man....Erie!!!! - blergle, on 09/15/2008, -0/+2Since when did the DMCA have an 'inappropriate' clause?!
- PDXmodest, on 09/15/2008, -0/+2Crazy folks. I hope they run the free world one day. They will surely instill some sanity to our world...What with things like laughter church, people passing out from severe touches with God...Surely a good thing. This reminds of something that might have started the collapse of Rome.
- inactive, on 09/14/2008, -1/+3Maybe youtube got threats after they featured Matt Damon video.
- KrazyA1pha, on 09/15/2008, -1/+2The bank.
- CVANonymous, on 09/16/2008, -0/+1YouTube basically has no real set-up for take-down notices. As soon as they receive the notice, the vid is pulled, and it is up to the party whose vid was pulled or account suspended to prove themselves innocent. They don't even look at the vid to see if it is in violation. It's guilty until proven innocent, pure and simple.
Just a couple of weeks ago, over 4000 Anonymous vids were pulled when youtube received FAKE DMCA notices from a FAKE company, claiming FAKE copywrite notices. Over 4000. Let that sink in. - conchchowder, on 10/05/2008, -0/+0CACHED
- johlorax, on 09/15/2008, -1/+1What shade of lipstick would Jesus wear?
- Dumprun, on 09/14/2008, -1/+1Was it cashed somewhere?
- Bulldawg42, on 09/15/2008, -1/+0Someone over on Huffpo had a question that occured to me also: "Wouldn't the Antichrist be a "ruling class" female Gentile as opposed to a working class Jewish male?" Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
- Ridgeliner7, on 09/13/2008, -9/+1Well, being since the video didn't actually show the Wasilla Assembly of God church, and being since whatever that film was, it wasn't from the Assembly of God Church, I would assume that is why it was taken down.
Once Senator Obama is President, and pushes the Fairness Doctrine into law, as Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid want, people putting up false videos will be able to be tracked down, legally, by law enforcement.
