I just called this number to express my views (202) 224-3121 which is the number to get to my Representative, and before being transferred to my Reps Voice mail, I talked to her and said "Are you getting a lot of calls due to this govt?" She said "Our switchboard is sometimes being overwhelmed." I asked "What do you think of this govt we have in office?" She laughed and said "Sir, I am glad to transfer you to your rep." I just thought it was funny to hear her chuckle before transferred to my Rep. And I left a full message!!

That's the key, it has to be a both houses and a trial and a very large % in order to impeach... that won't come lightly, but there is no legal reason given, or required to go thru the motions. Remember, impeachment is not necessarily the same as criminal. When Johnson was impeached it was over disagreements in how to run the Reconstruction, he was blocking Congress' progress by ordering military troops to do different stuff and such... so they removed him and sent him on his way. he didn't "break" any law, but he did disobey Congress.
When this Congress wakes up to just how far down this goes, they'll turn mean quick. I think right now the allegations are so "wild liberal" that the regular Republican's can't see them as anything but hype... hopefully this will change sooner than later, but these guys aren't entirely stupid, they want this in committees, and to have investigations under oath and they'll figure it out... they don't realize the prez has been playing dirty the whole 6 years because they were to blinded to see it. - timothybryce, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2There's also NEVER A BAD TIME TO USE CAPS.
