The sooner they stop dutifully playing along with Faux News' mendacious claims to impartiality the better. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Sheik:
>Fox News is about as biased to the right as CNN et al are biased to the left.
You're misinformed. In fact Fox is clearly and provably biased:
>Of the 56 partisan guests on Special Report between January and May, 50 were Republicans and six were Democrats -- a greater than 8 to 1 imbalance. In other words, 89 percent of guests with a party affiliation were Republicans.
>On Special Report, 65 of the 92 guests (71 percent) were avowed conservatives--that is, conservatives outnumbered representatives of all other points of view, including non-political guests, by a factor of more than 2 to 1.
>As a comparison, FAIR also studied the one-on-one newsmaker interviews on CNN's Wolf Blitzer Reports over the same time period, and found a modest but significant tilt towards Republicans, and a disproportionate minority of guests who were conservatives--but in both cases, there was far more balance than was found on Special Report.
>Of Blitzer's 67 partisan guests, 38 were Republicans and 29 were Democrats -- a 57 percent to 43 percent split in favor of Republicans. Thirty-five out of 109 guests (32 percent) were avowed conservatives, with the remaining 68 percent divided up among the rest of the political spectrum, from center-right to left. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4The Democrats and the Left in general have never been supporters of a free and open debate. They just want you to do as you're told. This boycott should confirm that fact for everyone.
- 11messiah, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4I am so glad that the Dems would not cow-tow to the Ann Coulter network
- SheikBirkAboudi, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4Fox News is about as biased to the right as CNN et al are biased to the left.
After this stunt by the Democratic party, this voter who voted Democrat last election will return to the Republican party. And since the Democratic party is boycotting the debates on Fox, I'll boycott the debate on any network I consider to have a leftist slant.
So, I guess I'll just be voting blind. Thanks Democrats for shutting down free and open debate. - DiggerXtreme, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3So this is how cut-and-run works? And what about those democrats agreements to doing this debate? I guess that ranks right up there with their past unfulfilled campaign promises.
It now looks to me that this is proof that we cannot trust the word of any of those liberal presidential candidates. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+5Cowards, how weak.
