- Mewchu11, on 11/04/2007, -0/+5Yeah, just a unaviodable sensation of drowning and certain death.
There's more to torture than pain, some interrogators can exploit psychological torture to force false testimony without so much as a single pistolwhip. - art42, on 11/04/2007, -0/+4"There is NO pain involved in waterboarding....."
When will you be volunteering for water boarding? - inactive, on 11/04/2007, -0/+3Then why were the Japanese prosecuted for it after World War II?
Is Chinese Water Torture not torture? There's no pain in that. - rhabd0mancer, on 11/04/2007, -0/+2Oh no, Bush is going to throw another hissy fit.
- ruyen, on 11/03/2007, -0/+1Or maybe it's b/c he's going to be another Bushie who thinks waterboarding isn't torture anymore and won't check presidential powers that are out of control.
- notBrit, on 11/03/2007, -0/+1Too late. Schumer and Feinstein, both Democrats, will vote FOR Mukasey. That makes me ill.
This Congress is absurd. The Republicans are the most obstructionist in history (allowing less up-or-down votes than any Congress ever) and the Democrats are absolutely spineless. Is it time for a revolution yet? - inactive, on 11/03/2007, -0/+1I'm a conservative and I can tell you waterboarding is torture, and Mukasey USED to say the same thing, until he was up for this position. The only thing worse than a flip-flopping politician is a flip-flopping judge, especially one who says a consistent act like waterboarding should be determined "case by case"
- omnithought, on 11/03/2007, -0/+1Remember, Leahy is watching you like a *****-hawk! (points if you get it)
- inactive, on 11/04/2007, -1/+1Can the Democrats muster enough spine to block this pro-torture Republican? One can always hope.
