- inactive, on 07/22/2008, -0/+5At Klan rallies, do they attack people for supporting Creationism as science or for conducting exorcisms?? Oh, right, you didn't know what to write and decided a baseless attack worked best. Typical.
- winston80, on 07/22/2008, -2/+6Hopefully not... Romney will be better
- psiege, on 07/22/2008, -4/+8A brilliant choice for McCain -- if Jindal truly is his veep pick. This will round out the Republican ticket nicely! A great way to counter the Obamaniacs and their lust for the empty rhetoric of Obama. Jindal is as well spoken, if not better, and a very smart man who brings substance to the table.
As Newt said, "Governor Jindal is leading a revolution of conservative reform in Louisiana. He is the most transformational young governor in America today."
Learn more about this young, rockstar Republican: http://www.bobbyjindal.com/Default.aspx - inactive, on 07/22/2008, -0/+3He's a pretty poor choice, since his age basically means McCain is precluded from attacking Obama on grounds that he isn't experienced enough. Also Jindal looks about 19 and makes McCain look even older when the two are seen together.
- zombies187, on 07/22/2008, -1/+3Jindal is a chuckle head who has injected creationism into science class. Thats why Katrina turned out like that. The victims knew too much about science and didn't pray enough. Jindal is cutting social services and trying to give raises to the legislators. More than double the pay they had before Jindal. He can cure cancer with exorcism, so I'm sure citizens of Louisiana will be glad to share his amazing medical powers with America. I hope he IS the VP because I want him as far away from my state as possible.
- zombies187, on 07/22/2008, -1/+3Maybe he could triple congresses salary like he tried to do in Louisiana.
- barktwiggs, on 07/22/2008, -2/+4Louisiana, after the bungling of Gov Blanco, deserves some good governance for once. Let's not shortchange them.
- Rikety, on 07/22/2008, -0/+2zomboni, I think Louisiana wants to keep the corruption thing going, if you want to pay those who make laws peanuts (oh, excuse me, that's Georgia)...well at least you should pay the legislature enough to keep the temptation for corruption q little better managed.
- SheilaNoya, on 07/22/2008, -6/+7Yeah, great choice. Bobby Jindal claims he was a former exorcist and faith healer. Maybe he can rid the Republican party of their demons.
http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/20 ... - elleigh2, on 07/23/2008, -0/+1God, I hope not!
- barktwiggs, on 07/22/2008, -1/+2The real issue isn't age but experience. When Obama was a community organizer, Jindal was head of one the biggest government agencies in Louisiana and was effective at his job. But I too think it's too early for Jindal; his time will come.
- zombies187, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1Most of the posters above are excited about a Louisiana politician, so in that sense its more like a Klan rally.
- zombies187, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1What part of 'there IS no money' is so hard for you chuckle heads to understand? We are broke. We are trying to come up with a deal to repay money for levees. Yes thats right pay back the levee loan. We are taking care of our own here and if you want to help you guys should get Jindal out of our state. I guess you would all applaud Louisiana for once, if only they would triple lawmakers salary while we have teachers, police and firefighters who qualify for food stamps. Im sure you would have defended Blanco even though it means raising taxes.
- zombies187, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1Our legislators ARE underpaid. I'll give you that. But Jindal promised during the election to veto a pay raise, then he told the legislature that he would NOT veto. It took a recall petition to change his mind back to the position we elected. But the real point is EVERYONE in our state is underpaid. We are one of the poorest states and the big improvement the Republicans bring in is pay raises, creationism and exorcisms? Take him. You can have him. He make McCain look older and whiter while delivering the State of Louisiana. I guess it doesn't matter much since any VP will produce these three effects.
- elleigh2, on 07/22/2008, -2/+2I really like Bobby, but I don't think he is ready for this move. Let him pad his resume as Governor of LA. He is doing great things there. He should be running for President next time! I think Romney is the best choice for McCain!
- dinot, on 07/22/2008, -2/+2And hopefully this will cancel out the hatred and bigotry on Obama by the Republicans.
- repoulin, on 07/22/2008, -3/+2I bet you McCain does something outrageous and picks a democrat as a running mate as a sign of bi-partisanship.
- inactive, on 07/22/2008, -5/+1And here comes the hatred and bigotry from the left. Man is this a Klan rally or a discussion on a potential VP?
