- quine, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7The relative term "non-profit" has been a bunch of BS anyways for quite some time - for example, the devil of all that is Corporate donation abuse: United Way. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Way ) Personally, I'm in full support of laying into the tax-exemption status and tightening up the reigns. Taxpayers Alliance is just another case (of many) regarding political greed.
But honestly this is a two-fold issue and not just about the lobbying - the entire Cal energy crisis was a cluster-f*ck on all ends... a textbook case of failed deregulation. - velocipenguin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3AmericaFirst is absolutely right. Nobody will do anything about this country's problems until something interrupts cable TV.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1No *****!!?!?! It's a scam that any politcal ad can say "Paid for by The People_Who_Paid_For_This_Ad Foundation". They should have to give the names of the supporters (both corporations and individuals) in the ad itself.
- Egoist, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2What a angry, depressed little child you are. The fact that you're moded up to +6 shows that you're in good company. Have you ever had a positive thought in your life or are you so wrapped up in your pathetic, cynical, doom and gloom life that you don't even try anymore?
