- Dumbledorito, on 10/12/2007, -2/+52FTA: "The American people have wanted change in Iraq, and they got it," Perino said. "The president announced a new policy on January 10th that was quite different and divergent from where we were before."
Remind me to never let the president "help" me with any problem, ever. He's likely to resolve a flat tire by busting out my car's windows.
FTA: Perino said, "The terrorists that are seeking a safe haven in Iraq, if we were to leave, would find one, just like they have one in Afghanistan, and they can hurt us and..."
They have one in Afghanistan? Really? How did THAT happen, I wonder?
And then Perino pulled the well-worn 9/11 card out, despite its complete irrelevance. Nothing to see here, move along. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+44""Why won't FOX News show you this?http://www.rense.com/general74/afgg.htm""

- jstroot, on 10/12/2007, -3/+25FTA: The White House spokesperson agreed that Congress has a "constitutional role" to play, noting that "the president's been dealing with Congress since we got here in 2001."
WTF?! The president does not 'deal' with congress!!!! This attitude alone shows that he has the wrong opinion of what being the president entails. - elvenseven, on 10/12/2007, -6/+28"War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength" - George Orwell

- avolant, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16the french, pioneers in cosmetic surgery, developed a device in 1792 capable of removing between 8 and 10 pounds from a patient in a matter of seconds. reportedly, many who partook in the procedure were perceived as kinder, more intelligent, and markedly less talkative. while the machine was primarily fashionable among powerful french figures from 1793 to 1794, recent speculation suggests substantial potential for a resurgence in modern america.

"We don't care how many of you die. We can't admit we were wrong." - Dumbledorito, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13You left out the fact that while you're waiting for someone to winch your car out of the river you just drove into, you're paying your friend who owns a nearby gas station three times the cost of his gas to keep your engine running. Aw, hell, the engine stopped, so you're just giving him money to piss fuel into the river. Where's the money coming from? Well, you just happen to have a debit card tied to the kids' college fund, and screw them anyway; You're the decider of the family, after all.
Besides, there's just enough cash in there to go buy a bigger car that just might make it across the river. The guy selling it to you says if you go fast enough, it'll float, so what the hell... - Dumbledorito, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14Let's see, you call deciding to not appear on a network that's rabidly against your party and will give you nothing resembling a fair hearing "chickening out," yet you seem to support a president who is so fragile that he won't give a speech unless the audience has been hand-picked for their loyalty and reverence.
Good logic, there. - Sambone67, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13Except for the fact that she'll devour you when it's over.
- glasnostic, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11What if you discover that there is no way to get to your destination by car? Do sit in your car and wait for somebody to build a bridge, or do find a way of getting to your goal that doesn’t involve a car?

- avolant, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7why does everyone think america would be afraid to leave a country in complete ruin. we do it all the time! dont worry. we'll leave when we've gotten what we want.
- LucidOne, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9Lexinton, no it's not the fault of every American, it's the fault of every American that voted for Bush and Cheney. The blood of 650,000 Iraqi civilians and over 3,000 American service personnel is on their hands! And that's not to mention the human suffering shown by these pictures that will go on for decades if not centuries! Hope you all are real proud of yourselves and your president.

Nice "everybody does it" defense. I'm proud to be an American that opposed this war from the beginning. I'm proud of most of our history, but I'm ashamed at the direction this country has chosen to take since about 2001. There is no doubt in my mind that this decade will be viewed as one of America's darkest, most bigoted, ignorant, angry, hateful, greedy, blood thirsty times. I fear that the next couple of decades will be viewed as our time of retribution. I wonder if it will be worth it to pay for your mistakes for the rest of my life just for the privledge of living in the land that I love. - niradg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7yeah, but Tony Snow was better at it. I mean, he really made me want to punch the TV
- GeneralFault, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I wonder what would have happened if the British had gone to war against guerrilla fighters (worldwide) instead of the guerrilla fighters of the American Colonies. Not only would we have won our independence, but England would either be gone, or still fighting that conflict. Some should note that England would have lost that war either way.

how about breaking the FISA law by wiretapping without warrants. And if this is a true 'War on Terror' terrorists should be considered POW's and given all the rights granted to them by the Geneva Conventions. However Bush has them tortured in secret CIA prisons. I could continue but you wont listen anyway. - ronito, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5LOL.
