- Thumper999, on 07/15/2009, -6/+273So let me get this straight.
On May 8, 2009 Reservist Maj Stefan Frederick Cook writes to the army saying he is willing to serve another 1 year of duty in Afghanistan.
Army responds on June 9 saying essential "GREAT". Here are your orders and you ship out on July 15, 2009.
Maj Stefan Frederick Cook then runs down to a court house and files a lawsuit on how this is all illegal because (contrary to all proof, evidence and logic) his president is a illegal alien.
Did I get this right?. And if I did how did this nutcase even get in the military? - monkeysama, on 07/15/2009, -9/+204Failing to meet recruiting goals, the Army has had to look at prisons, mental institutions, and Texas.
- ironhide, on 07/15/2009, -17/+198Oh that can't be right - it's just a coincidence. I mean, surely he had no idea that Obama took office in *January*
- inactive, on 07/15/2009, -12/+184It's a good thing future employers, the U.S. Government, clients of future employers, won't be able to Google him and find out what an unemployable nutjob he is. Oh, wait...
- ThsGuyRightHere, on 07/15/2009, -13/+146Major Cook: You fail sir. You fail hard.
- redcolumbine, on 07/15/2009, -8/+127Cowardly? Sure. Laughable? Yep. But the part that will be remembered is stupid, stupid, stupid.
- brucealmighty, on 07/15/2009, -4/+120And probably in that order of preference....
- kingnova, on 07/15/2009, -11/+124Let me guess: The Freepers are calling this guy a hero?
- ironhide, on 07/15/2009, -4/+112Guess what else kids? Our little soldier is a freeper.
http://washingtonindependent.com/50789/obama-birth ... - paintgrl, on 07/15/2009, -16/+118Maj Stefan Frederick Cook is a coward, while thousands serve without some cheap excuse to get them out of combat.
- BohicaTwentyTwo, on 07/15/2009, -4/+100Even better, Cook's civilian job is as a defense contractor working at SOCOM HQ at McDill AFB.
Wait, make that he WAS a defense contractor. Now he's unemployed.

The CEO of Simtech, Inc., Larry Grice, explained to Plaintiff over a series of four conversations within the next two hours, that he had been terminated. Grice told the Plaintiff that he would no longer be welcome in his former position at SOCOM but that Grice wanted to see whether he could find something within the company (Simtech, Inc.) for Cook. The upshot was that at this time Grice did not have anything for Plaintiff to do. Grice told Plaintiff, in essence, that the situation had become “nutty and crazy”, and that Plaintiff would no longer be able to work at his old position. - mgraham80, on 07/15/2009, -3/+86I don't think it's fair to prisons and mental institutions to lump them in with Texas.
- Thumper999, on 07/15/2009, -2/+85Before you start crowing you might want to wait for the other shoe to drop...
Meaning that all the Army has said is they don't want him going over there. I am sure there will be further repercussions. - uncajoe, on 07/15/2009, -9/+90Will Stefan Frederick Cook become the new Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher?
I suggest "Steve the Sleaze" or "Freddy the Freeloader" (my apologies to Red Skelton) - Zandt88, on 07/15/2009, -6/+84Not just a guy in the military, this guy holds the rank of Major. Not 1st or 2nd lieutenant, or Captain, but Major. I do believe his conduct is unbecoming an officer and a gentleman.
- chuckDontSurf, on 07/15/2009, -4/+78The retarded thing about the birthers (well, one of many) is that they believe that Obama's just hoping and paying that his "secret" doesn't become known. Here's the thing: even if Obama wasn't a citizen, his team obviously could've produced a fake birth certificate by now. It's not like they'd be scrambling around hoping that no one uncovers their "secret." He's the friggin' President, they'd have a forged copy produced and all the documents in place in a matter of hours. Which leads to the next obvious point: the birthers will never be satisified. Obama could produce whatever goddamn birth certificate they requested, and they would just claim it's a fake. Idiots.
- Verchiel77, on 07/15/2009, -11/+84Depends, are they done calling the President's 11 year-old daughter a "whore" and "ghetto trash," yet?
http://digg.com/politics/Free_Republic_Pulls_then_ ... - Firstdaughter, on 07/15/2009, -3/+75Yeah... I didn't appreciate that at all! My dad is pretty pissed, but my mom is the one you have to watch out for.
- arTech, on 07/15/2009, -11/+82As a disabled combat vet, I would like to volunteer to KICK HIS ASS! What a disgrace to the uniform
- AgeofMastery, on 07/15/2009, -4/+70They're keeping him in the US for his court marshal
- TheSkunkMonkey, on 07/15/2009, -3/+61Let's make absolutely sure this idiot can be googled in the future...

Enjoy your permanent spot in the Great Internet Cache! - Verchiel77, on 07/15/2009, -3/+58Shocking.
Wonder if he was one of the dirtbags calling an 11 year-old girl "ghetto trash" and a "whore" just because he hates her father. - peacenik, on 07/15/2009, -8/+63Question:
Who is more unpatriotic?
a) A person who refuses to go to war because he is morally opposed to the war itself.
b) An ideologue who refuses to fight on behalf of his country because "his side" lost the last election.
I'm willing to bet that this loser was gung-ho for getting us into Iraq/Afghanistan in the first place. Typical chicken-hawk. - tastypaste, on 07/16/2009, -2/+55Hillary and McCain are both a part of the Illuminati, who grew Obama in a test tube in Africa so he could rule the world as the American president. They didn't bring up the issue because they were ordered by the Reptilians to keep quiet. Don't you sheeple get it? It's so OBVIOUS!
/birther insanity - AgeofMastery, on 07/15/2009, -2/+55Care to document those "millions of dollars"? I keep hearing it claimed but I'm yet to see any actual proof of it.
- inactive, on 07/15/2009, -3/+56This guy's story is starting to smell like a week old fish.
- ironhide, on 07/15/2009, -2/+51"A COLB can be issued to anyone without any proof whatsoever. It is strictly issued on the word of the requester."
Please point to the law that indicates that.
A certificate of live birth is derived from information contained on the "long form" or "vault" birth certificate.
The State of Hawaii does not offer the option of requesting a copy of the "long form".
http://hawaii.gov/health/vital-records/pdf/birth.p ... - ironhide, on 07/15/2009, -8/+56Looking at your history, you're in favor of the right-wing conspiracy theory. Buried.
It's not a conspiracy when you can look at his own words on Freerepublic.com - twiztidsinz, on 07/15/2009, -1/+49And by "situation" he means YOU, Mr. Cook.
- unhuh, on 07/15/2009, -5/+52It was actually your first words, the "hey did you guys see" part that changed it from a stating a fact to "crowing." Then the second sentence is a little too eager in coming to your hoped-for conclusion, which leads to your final sentence, which - BINGO - happens to be one of the Republicant's talking point for today...
- overtoke, on 07/15/2009, -2/+47all birthers are stupid. how about that?
- TreatsTheBear, on 07/15/2009, -3/+48We're sending plants to war now? Did we run out of people?
- dtr300, on 07/15/2009, -5/+50I think most of the people reading this are already familiar with birthers and the nonsensical lawsuits that have been filed, but just for anyone who isn't, and to explain my other comment, these soldiers are people who were solicited by Orly Taitz (including via YouTube videos) to deliberately disobey orders, in her attempt to further the movement to overthrow the supposedly "illegitimate" government of Barack Obama. In other words, she went out looking for people to play the role; it wasn't soldiers who already had legal problems who came to her for advice. IMO, this makes her behavior extra nefarious, in that she knew very well that she was soliciting clients who could lose their chance at a successful term in the military and even end up in prison by following her "advice."
- AgeofMastery, on 07/15/2009, -3/+46No, all birthers are not racists. Some certainly are but far from all.
I think the race angle may explain why this blew up larger than the conspiracy theories about the Clintons whom the far right hated almost as much as they do Obama. Take the far right fringies who believed all the stories about Clinton killing his rivals etc and add in a bunch of Stormfronters who don't need a reason to hate a black President and you get a much bigger, but still very fringe, group. - Maddoktor2, on 07/15/2009, -14/+57Reservist Maj Stefan Frederick Cook is a racist.
All birthers are racists. - arTech, on 07/15/2009, -1/+44Show me where those "millions of dollars" were spent. Another looney "fact" with no evidence
- KeithLM, on 07/15/2009, -1/+43Care to provide any proof that a "Certificate of Live Birth" is not equivalent to a "Birth Certificate" or as it is sometimes called a "Certificate of Birth"? Go to Wikipedia and look up birth certificate. You'll see a couple common examples of the form, as it is one says "Certificate of Live Birth".
Now examine the title of the document logically. Doesn't it make sense that something referred to as a birth certificate would in fact be certifying the birth of a baby? And so can't you draw the conclusion that something entitled "Certificate of Live Birth" is certifying the birth of a baby that was live at the time of birth?
In short, you're a moron. There's nothing to this supposed controversy. - novenator, on 07/15/2009, -6/+48JoeyFarrah submitted another good one on this topic, please visit the link below:
http://digg.com/political_opinion/The_birther_stor ... - inactive, on 07/15/2009, -3/+44He did, try to keep up, *****.
- JoeyFarah, on 07/15/2009, -10/+51I hope Captain Crunch Cook here hires a "Pediatrician" who also has a match book cover law degree to defend him when he's in the HOLE he dug DEEEEEEEP for himself.
- Maddoktor2, on 07/15/2009, -12/+52Anyone who calls President Obama "Hussein" instead of his given first or last name or his title is a racist bigot.
The vast majority of Birthers and Freepers do. That makes enough of them racists to justify calling them all racists. The ones that don't appear to be bigoted racists on the surface just haven't shown their true colors yet.
Those are the smart ones, and the ones to watch the closest, as they most often provoke the less intelligent majority and let them do their dirty work for them. Regardless, they are still judged by the company they keep.
The bigots hate that he has Muslim roots. They ignore and even deny the fact that he's a practicing Christian.
The racists hate that he's black, and especially that he's half white. They see that as betrayal, and it makes them feel dirty.
None of them deserve to share air with the rest of the human race.
Birthers and Freepers diminish America as a nation, and the human race as a species. - dtr300, on 07/15/2009, -3/+43So L'Orlunatic loses her test case. Maybe now the world will see what a big con artist she is. No legitimate client would ever hire her after seeing her record of incompetence, dishonesty, and outright psychotic behavior (i.e., stalking SCOTUSes).
- Misinformant, on 07/15/2009, -2/+41"I'm not a conspiracy nut, and quite frankly, I don't care where he was born."
Yeah, clearly not. - AgeofMastery, on 07/15/2009, -1/+40That's what I keep pointing out to them. There needed to be a huge conspiracy, big enough to silence both political parties, the press and various federal and state governmental agencies.
But this huge conspiracy can't manage to either buy off, intimidate or kill the likes of Joey Farah and Orly Taitz? - 10lbhammer, on 07/15/2009, -5/+44well, obviously she *is* easy, she's got the babby to prove it.
- rocknog, on 07/15/2009, -2/+41Hey, you shut your mouth about Captain Crunch. The man is an upstanding naval officer who served his country and fought bravely in the war against the Soggies. This man, however, is a coward and an insult to the armed forces.
- CosmicSurfer, on 07/16/2009, -3/+42Update - announced by the US Army..This tool HAD been working as a military contractor and allowed on military bases to work...He now has no work. Since he sued the military, they now refuse to allow him to work on base...So he ultimately just screwed himself.....
I just LOVE KARMA - charm803, on 07/15/2009, -6/+45Let's humor the birthers and say Obama was not born in Hawaii.
That means that EVERYONE in the election covered it up, right?
So really, it's not Obama's fault that everyone went along with the "plan," including Bush, Cheney, McCain, and the many media outlets that "saw" the certificate in person. Oh, and let's not forget, the State of Hawaii was in on it as well.
Yeah, ok, because THAT makes sense. - Maddoktor2, on 07/15/2009, -11/+49Anyone who calls him "Hussein" instead of his given first or last name is a racist bigot.

Obviously the crowing term bothers bluto36 so I retract it.
Though i still reject your original premise Bluto36 that the army decided to revoke his orders was based upon some nefarious reason or hidden information. The far more logical conclusion would be that they did not want to send Maj Cook overseas while he was playing his game and decided he was not fit for duty until his "court case" was settled. -
