"But I have concluded that the ongoing investigation also would have forced an untenable delay in the confirmation process," Richardson said. "Given the gravity of the economic situation the nation is facing, I could not in good conscience ask the president-elect and his administration to delay for one day the important work that needs to be done."
He is a much better man then Blago or Burris. - peheimbach, on 01/04/2009, -0/+8Evidently this is the same grand jury that brought us Blago -- although they were working on something else (bond investment schemes) -- when they 'happened' to catch him selling furniture.
What irritates the crap out of me at the moment (OK, in this case) is the noise from the Christiban: "Aw, gee, *ANOTHER* "hope" official being investigated and we aren't even in office yet."
Who was the other one? Rahm? So since most Christibanis read far less than Mr Bush is said to have read, let's remind them that (a) Blago was NOT an Obama Admin official, (b) Rahm came out smelling like a rose, and (c) Richardson is far more of a *man* than any of Bush's officials when faced with scandal. (See, for example, Alberto Gonzalez) - peheimbach, on 01/04/2009, -2/+10Which party put together the grand jury?
I'll hold my other comment until I'm able to determine that one. - stonecircle, on 06/11/2009, -0/+7Pretty rude.
- inactive, on 01/05/2009, -0/+5I dunno, can you trust a Republican to use the same restroom as you do?!
- fakekevinrose, on 01/05/2009, -0/+2He withdrew his name from Commerce Secretary.
- jh4rms, on 01/05/2009, -3/+3Obama isn't for "change", it's pretty obvious he doesn't want to end the fed, the irs, reverse the patriot act, reverse the heroes act of 2008, end the war in the middle east, among MANY other things. In a matter of fact he wants to keep 40 to 50,000 troops in Iraq after the "withdrawl", and he also wants to start a civilian security force which means if you are between the ages of 18-25 you have to do 3 months of basic training, and join the military. Basically "civilian security force" means a draft.
Watch Bush in 2000 feeding everyone lies, and ended up turning out to be the complete opposite of everything he stood for.

What makes you think Obama isn't going to do the same thing? Let's see...both of them are for the UNCONSTITUTIONAL agenda which is the New World Order, which should mean both of them are on the same side, because they want to accomplish the same goal, but wait they can't be on the same side because Bush is a Republican, and Obama is a Democrat. Well if you have done ANY independent research, (which means you've watched or read something other then what the MSM has to tell you) you'd realize that that's how they're beating America today by persuading everyone that they are for different things, when in reality the Republicans, and Democrats are the same party, and both of which stand for different ideas, but stand together for the same goal, the NWO. Basically Obama is just like Bush, he's for the NWO, and he's for the Federal Reserve, etc. If you wanted REAL change then you should have voted for Ron Paul. Sadly the majority of people don't really give a *****, it's easier to watch the MSM, believe everything is going to be ok, and it's easier to call me a psycho, and tell me that it will never happen, BUT it is going to happen. PLEASE those of you who don't have a clue about the NWO or the Federal Reserve or anything DO SOME ***** RESEARCH and then if you don't agree with me, THEN you can digg me down and then I'll be sorry you weren't born with any common since, but if you do agree with me then GREAT we need as many people as we can get to spread the word of freedom and save this country from turning into the North American Union. It's time to stand up, and defend the constitution before it really doesn't mean anything anymore. - mikbunn, on 01/05/2009, -1/+1What if I wanted real change that wasn't isolationist and regressive, however well thought-out.
Nothing against Ron Paul, or any other true conservative, but personally, I like the idea of a country bringing people together, rather than creating a market-insane, gun-toting melee. - jshellen, on 01/05/2009, -1/+0Like nearly all Americans my memory doesn't serve me well on past injustices by politicians - perhaps because there is so much corruption. But as Energy Secretary under Clinton I seem to remember there being a huge security issue with nuclear secrets that were leaking, such as lost laptops and other documents finding there way into the hands of the Chinese - all under Richardson's watch. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but can this guy be trusted in any leadership position?
- inactive, on 01/06/2009, -4/+1Homophobe.
- inactive, on 01/05/2009, -11/+1Now, now. Give Obama a break. He's working with what he has. Can you think of a democrat you'd trust to babysit your kids or sell you a used car?
- inactive, on 01/05/2009, -12/+1Obama's change?!? Picking scumbag, corrupt politicians to be in charge of his departments? Way to go, Democrats. Way to go.
