- LordRahl72, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6This will be yet another war that we cannot win and will be bogged down for the next 20+ years.
This country cannot afford another war right now. It will break us financially and may be the final nail in our coffin.
What I am saying is that a war with Iran will be the end of the USA as we know it.
But then again I can see why Bush would not care about the end of America. - strangerzero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Get ready to be drafted boys!
- Wiggles2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I can see this getting very ugly. The chinese and russians don't even support economic SANCTIONS, let alone an attack. Russia has always had designs on Iran, and China gets much of its oil from Iran. Both have nuclear weapons. Oh yes, I can see this getting very ugly.
- Saintlink, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Bush and Kristol are a disgrace to anyone who bears the name conservative. Their fiscal irresponsibility and disastrous foreign policy are an insult to the term 'conservation'. What exactly have they saved us from lately?
- Saintlink, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I the draft started tomorrow I'd flee to Canada in a hurry. There is no way in hell I'd die in a war for Israel, oil men and rapture obsessed Christians.
- multivariate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2As long as the US is engaged in Iraq, and Bush's poll numbers are in the toilet, there will be no war in Iran. The American people have put up with a lot, but three simultaneous wars (Iraq, Afganistan, Iran) with no plan for victory or extraction is more than they can handle.
- Saintlink, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1100 dead Iraqis per day. That isn't democracy, that's Civil War. Worse yet, it is done with our tax dollars.
- sickofitall, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2All I can say is, where are all of the attorneys generals of the states-can't, say, the attorney general in new Hampshire, or anywhere for that matter, demand an investigation, or charges, or something!!!???I believe it was one of Hitlers henchmen who said, the bigger the lie, the easier it is to make people believe it. Whenever I talk to someone who can say with a straight face that controlled demolition didn't bring down the trade centers, and building 7, I just want to grab them and shake them and scream ARE YOU BLIND!!!??? IT IS SO OBVIOUS IT IS TRULY RIDICULOUS!!!WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THIS COUNTRY AND THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE? This is truly, truly, an episode of the twilight zone-and I can only hear all those demons in Washington laughing their asses off at the American people-and who can blame them-I know I would, if I had done it
- Saintlink, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is majorly screwed up. Kristol is so worried about Israel that he loses any kind of rational thought as to what this would do the American homeland. Proof that this man along with Bush and his entire cabinet of war mongering neoconservatives need to be thrown out of the country. Want to fight Iran even though we know we can't win? Great! Fantastic! I'm all for it! Send your sons and daughters to die Mr. Bush and Mr. Kristol and do it with YOUR money, not my hard-stolen tax dollars. Traitors deserve as much.
God help us if this thing goes nuclear! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Why is Bush bashing so popular among a public that has very little knowledge of what is really going on? I have had friends go to Iraq that may aknowledge that the reasons the government gave for the invasion were humorous at best but say that it was for the best. There are many reasons why the invasion of Iraq was good that the everyday peon in America will find hard to accept such as the aggressive spread of democracy to the people in the Middle East / Oil / a nice military base in the Middle east and so on. Normal people don't like to think militaristically and so when Bush explains his reasons for such an invasion he does so in a way that a normal peon can understand.
There are many people who are Bush bashing liberals simply following a mob/herd mentality with the others and hate on Bush for reasons created by the mob/herd mentality. It's pathetic. - Incredulous, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Let us all review:
Bush was appointed president by Scalia in 2000. He stole the election (again) in 2004. He was warned of imminent terror threats (41 times) and did nothing. He read "My Pet Goat" for 7 minutes as the country was under attack. He lied about Iraq and said it at weapons of mass destruction and was behind 911.
The conservatives think that homosexuality is the real issue while we hold hundreds of people in prison without due process. We use torture in secret prisons throughout Europe. THE NSA SPIES ON US! (Meanwhile Haliburton and Cheney are making BILLIONS!) New Orleans is still a mess.
The Iraq was was illegal and has destabilized the middle east.
Anytime the poll numbers decline, the repubs announce a new terror threat.
The republicans did this. They are to blame. The should be prosecuted. And yet, stupid Americans believe that only the republicans can make them safe.
Our country ceased to exist in 1945. They hate us for our freedom. *****. They hate us for the CIA and the NSA and the ***** things we have done to them liked ***** with their leaders.
