- sassce, on 08/13/2008, -28/+339There you have it Dumb and Dumber!
- dkawaii, on 08/14/2008, -26/+312Excellent political video no matter what side you are on. You have to admit it.
- Icebird, on 08/14/2008, -21/+258Wow, that's probably the best "Ad", if you can even call it that, this entire political season. This is exactly the kind of Ad the Obama campaign needs to run. It's scary how much McCain is just like Bush and a lot of people in this country don't know it.
- algaeturd, on 08/14/2008, -12/+146"That's not change we can believe in...."
(crickets chirp, smarky grin)
The cryptkeeper's day's are numbered... - inactive, on 08/14/2008, -6/+132Pick McCain, Pick a city
- motivatedmama, on 08/14/2008, -24/+147Very nice! Facts you can believe in.
- drowningfish, on 08/14/2008, -6/+106I think the real question we need to ask here is this:
If Bush's approval ratings are so low, and McCain is essentially Bush's clone, then why is McCain not being trounced by Obama in the polls?
/boggle - benintn, on 08/14/2008, -12/+107I had no idea about those numbers - it's scary how the more Bush sucks, the more McCain kisses up to him.
- mgill3, on 08/14/2008, -18/+104Because a lot of people are closet racists and will come up with any excuse not to vote for Obama.
- danceyoumonster, on 08/14/2008, -9/+89Simple, clear, elegant. A stirring indictment.
- DivineMonkey, on 08/14/2008, -9/+80Because Americans are dumb?
- sunsetprojects, on 08/14/2008, -7/+66Why hasn't Obama used this ad already??
- inactive, on 08/14/2008, -8/+66McCain thinks he can win solely because he is a white anglosaxon, and the horrible fact of the matter is, in america 2008 he might even be right.
- jayhawk, on 08/14/2008, -4/+61because most people aren't paying attention to presidential politics much yet and thus aren't yet making the link you see in this video.
- Echota, on 01/05/2009, -18/+68A Great Ad!
Smacks down both Bush and McSame in one fell swoop!
Dosen't get much better then that! - inactive, on 08/14/2008, -9/+57Unfortunately the reasonable, sane people in the US have woken up, but they are still stuck with a 17% minority of complete lunatics that probably would have supported 9 out of 10 dictators in the 20th century as leader, purely on reasons of nationalism. Can this be some kind of genetic defect?
Big question for the next decade - how does a country deal with a small but very vocal minority of asshats, who have the support of deeply machiavellan power groups at the highest corporate and governmental levels (plus the Israel fascists) and who have proven they themselves do not care about basic human values.
The 17% of neocon-collaborators are evil and know they are and they simply do not care. They just want their petro-cake and everybody else's too. - maxgoedjen, on 08/14/2008, -7/+54Because most people, in case you haven't noticed, are idiots.
- socalftw, on 08/14/2008, -3/+50"but 5 and a half years of torture and beatings.....Edwards hair!....Edwards hair!....5 and a half years torture! ....Edwards fancy hair!"
- sunsetprojects, on 08/14/2008, -15/+57Because the media is constanly attacking Obama every chance they get.
- mayra1201, on 08/14/2008, -7/+47Hyperbole is the worst thing EVER
- inactive, on 08/14/2008, -20/+59Good Question! watch the video
- sircomix, on 08/14/2008, -3/+39I hope to god not, but then again, I was astonished that a moron like W could be elected not once but twice.
If McCain wins, I am going to weep.
GOBAMA - MattB123, on 08/14/2008, -2/+38Lots of the younger, more liberal people who support Obama don't have landlines and are harder to reach for polling.
- inactive, on 08/14/2008, -3/+38still in denial, eh? I'm so sorry for you.
- erikwithaknotac, on 08/14/2008, -7/+40The ad shows he was a maverick at first, but eventually caved in to Bush, even with the guantanamo torture of prisoners. Something we thought he was firmly against, being that he WAS tortured and forced to make communist propaganda movies.
- AJKenny84, on 08/14/2008, -2/+35You know, it helps if you can actually spell the name of the guy that you support. It's Bob Barr.
- Mejari, on 08/14/2008, -4/+36I'm going to go out on a limb here and play captain obvious:
you are retarded for being racist - Sammi84, on 08/14/2008, -13/+43Bush = McCain
McCain = Bush
Didn't Hillary loose to Obama because democrats want change? Let's hope enough republicans also believe in change. - Jwoey, on 08/14/2008, -3/+31They are correct, but the 100% at the end doesn't tell the whole story. In fact, the whole story is worse. McCain hasn't voted very much at all in 2008 because of his run for president. Its not unusual for a presidential candidate to participate in fewer votes (for a couple of reasons - They don't want to stir up controversy and because they're often too busy on the campaign trail), but in McCain's case, he hasn't voted *at all* since about the time he became the presumptive nominee (someone can fact check me on that, I believe March/April timeframe was the last time he voted). I'm a McCain hater all the way, but part of the reason why he has sided with Bush 100% (instead of like, say... 95% as in 2007) is because he hasn't actually voted that much, so there's a smaller chance of finding something he disagreed with.
- Deoliver47, on 08/14/2008, -13/+40Great ad clearly presenting the Double-dumb twins - McBush1 & McBush2
- socalftw, on 08/14/2008, -2/+28"he has done good"
mortgage crisis, ***** economy, weak dollar, trillion dollar defecit, ridiculous gas prices, etc, etc...
where's the good at? please point it out. - PaulMorel, on 08/14/2008, -1/+26The problem is that the population that uses Digg is not representative of the US at large. So "let's see what happens in November" is exactly the wrong attitude to take. We have to proactive about getting the messages here on digg into the traditional media and into the larger discussion about the candidates.
The internet, and digg especially, is just an echo chamber. To reach or gauge the public in general, we need to get these messages outside of this echo chamber.
Still, if something gets dugg to the front page, it can usually at least make a dent in the traditional media. - DanBoodro, on 08/14/2008, -6/+30You got dugg down by 5 Bush/McCain supporters and dugg up by 51 Obama supporters...Let's see what happens during elections.
I dugg you up btw. - SeraphIXI, on 08/14/2008, -8/+30WTF!!!! I still cant believe they ate cake together....... Obama '08
- Tempest811, on 08/14/2008, -2/+24Because the polls are done via landline and the majority of our youth do not have a landline.
- ngmcs8203, on 08/14/2008, -0/+22I think the main reason is because about 25% of voters have made their minds up so far as to who they are going to vote for. Probably for a few reasons too.
1) They aren't paying attention yet since it is not the fall.
2) They don't know who their friends are voting for yet and don't want to look dumb.
3) They don't care.
4) They don't see any candidates that they can support yet. - tastypaste, on 08/14/2008, -2/+23No, McCain is retarded for voting 100% of the time in support of the most retarded president we've ever had. In what way did he think the voters would respond to that? Bush has the lowest approval rating ever because of his policies. And McCain adopted those same policies. What was the strategy in that? He has to be retarded or senile. In either case he's not fit to lead a peewee soccer team let alone a country.
- SecureXeC, on 08/14/2008, -1/+22No. No it can't.
You can't make a dent in REAL media. Want to know why?
Because in "traditional media", the broadcasters aren't calling each other "*****", "dicksnorters", "cheesecocks" or "jews" while spouting off over 9,000 memes from last thursday.
But that's why Digg owns. :) - scb0825, on 08/14/2008, -4/+25That video is freaking brilliant.
- gzappia, on 08/14/2008, -12/+32dugg because McCain is a ***** douchebag
P.S. EarthBoundX5 is also a douchebag.. you make me a sad panda. - metapop, on 08/14/2008, -6/+26regardless of which political stance you take, you have to admit this is a powerful video.
i'm bob barr and i approve this message. - SmartfulDodger, on 08/14/2008, -1/+20I think you have it backwards. Obama's support base comes from the 40 and under crowd with a college education. They tend to earn good salaries and pay the bulk of our country's taxes. McCain has the retirees - many of whom live off of social security, don't work anymore, and generally don't pay much in taxes.
- inactive, on 08/14/2008, -6/+25I support the plan to round up all ignorant radical "family values" conservatives, who base their entire political opinion on such nonsense as abortion.
I am actually in favor of any and all number trimester post-birth abortions of all these ignoramus's. - DavidYeah, on 08/14/2008, -4/+23Death tax: Right wing code word for estate tax; they want to make it sound like the person dying is being taxed instead of the person inheriting their wealth being taxed on the inheritance.
They can' t have an honest debate on this one because Americans know all too well what the kind of ***** the repeal of the estate tax will lead to; look at the landed aristocracy in third world, small government countries. It's odd that Americans think that rich kids should have to earn their money, too, not just live off of inheritance. You'd think conservatives would support this kind of position, given their usual "pick yourself up by your bootstraps" rhetoric they spew at the lower class. - pdizz, on 08/14/2008, -7/+25Make it standard length, add obama endorsement and you have one powerful advertisement
- SupaDawg, on 08/14/2008, -1/+19I don't see a single thing wrong with one of those quotes, and i'm a white male in his mid-20s. Obama had trouble dealing with his mixed race nature, as i'm sure anybody else would.
There are plenty of things to attack Obama on (see his ever-changing platform), but none of these qualify.
And for the record, even as a Christian, i too would stand with the muslims if the political climate became hostile to them... As it has become in recent years. - treehugger87, on 08/14/2008, -4/+22Because McCain & the GOP are being allowed to define this race as between Barack Obama and Barack H. Obama. Much like Kerry vs. Bush in 2004, the GOP candidate isn't even part of the equation.
- treehugger87, on 08/14/2008, -0/+18This video has nothing to do with barack Obama. Why are you making it about him? Is your candidate of choice John McCain? If so, please give reasons why he is the best candidate despite the point being made in the video.
- mywhitenoise, on 08/14/2008, -16/+33As are McCain supporters.
- bsmang, on 08/14/2008, -2/+19Scary that you guys are claiming to have expertise in the sound difference in a male voice after he deep-throats some.
