- mareeba, on 10/12/2007, -8/+69Bushco can’t decide what their policy is except to continue the stream of lies and deceit. If you voted for Bush in ’04 because you thought he was a straight shooter and Kerry was a “flip flopper”, this should be all the evidence you need that Gay Old Pedophile party needs to be voted out on November 7th.
- acroyear2, on 10/12/2007, -2/+40He said "Steak the Horse". Not stay the course. What on earth he means by that, I have no idea. There's no telling with Commander Cuckoo Bananas.
- edsonmedina, on 10/12/2007, -1/+28We've never been at war with Eurasia.
- ravipalanivelu, on 10/12/2007, -2/+30It is already the second time in last two days that the white house, starting from Bush, have lied that they NEVER said stay the course. Why not, next time any reporter ask this question (and should anticipate the same denial) be ready with clips from the past such as the ones posted on ThinkProgress or a simple search of President's speeches as Jon Stewart did and play back to them to ask what do they say now? Will the MSM step up to do their job or simply ask the question and dutifully report the lies?
- klasikahl, on 10/12/2007, -1/+27How many times have I heard "cut and run" out of a GOP party figure/strategist? Libs obsessed with catch phrases... Well now I've heard everything.
Just to recap:
Mission Accomplished
Stay the Course
No Child Left Behind
Cut and Run
Shock and Awe
Iraqi Freedom (LOL!)
Adapt to Win
Flip Flop
What am I missing? - tont0r, on 10/12/2007, -2/+24glad to hear i never have to hear 'cut and run' and 'flipflopper' again since apparently republicans are above that.
- e68895f, on 10/12/2007, -1/+25"be ready with clips"
but that would mean they have to work for a living. why start now? - Nougat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+20Yes, politicians lie. It's getting to be pretty blatant though. I'm voting Zaphod Beeblebrox in '08.
- pcuser, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20"We're at war with Eurasia. We've always been at war with Eurasia."
For those of you who still haven't read Orwell's 1984, it is seriously time to do so:
http://www.online-literature.com/orwell/1984/ - whiskeymb, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21outright and blatant lies from this administration, shocking!
- Phaedruss, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20The sad thing is if they say it enough times, people will start to believe it...
- Phatt138, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19khlasi, here's a few:
Swiftboater
Islamofascist
Freedom
Security
Terrorism

And most ironically, "You Libs"
Kill - not that your particular brand of self-satisfied ignorance is really worth arguing with - but 'libs' may be 'obsessed' with these catch-phrases...guess who made them up? Guess who listens to them? Guess who justifies an unpopular war and the dissolution of American freedoms with them? Then, one month later, guess who denies them and makes up new ones?
Keep on eating what they give you, man. You're so used to a diet of complete ***** that you can't even see what an incredibly insufferable human being it's making you. You spend your entire miserable life trolling forums for your neo-con overlords. You're the front-line in an army of liars and cheats who could give two ***** about you beyond election season. - StarManta, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16They must have been drunk when they said that.
Damn that alcoholism! - TenebrousX, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17"In the of defense of the Bush Administration, they don't recall saying "Stay the Course". That's good enough for me, and the rest of the American People."
no, it's not good enough - tjeeds, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Stake the horse. Nearly half of all insurgents in Iraq are vampire horses.
- kent1146, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Hey, guys, give them a break.
It's not like this administration is not full of no doublespeak or nothing like none of that. That would be dishonest. - StarManta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11You forgot 'greeted as liberators'.
We should submit that to bash.org. funny stuff. - Nibble, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14Think Progress may be biased, but that doesn't make two videos taken directly from the news inaccurate. The submitter's submission history is also irrelevant.
- totorototoro, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13On Sunday, President Bush told George Stephanopoulous "‘We’ve never been stay the course, George!’"
- EbowUK, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12Am I the only one that saw that headline and thought there was someone decent in the Whitehouse?
Ahh, The West Wing, you are missed. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11@Klasikal
You forgot 'swift-boating', and 'fair and balanced' - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11"Damn that alcoholism!"
Get thee to rehab and start brainstorming the name of a priest you can blame for childhood abuse. Come on, people, you know the drill. - cmdrNacho, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I honestly don't get it .. what's there to debate. The last couple of days we've been hearing Bush and his cronies saying there strategy was never "Stay the course". Yet theres countless amount of video proof that there strategy is /was "Stay the course". Are people that ignorant.
- piggy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10These aren't the droids you are looking for America.
/wave hand - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8"Are people that ignorant."
You sure you want an honest answer to that question? - diggreader1963, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9F l i p f l o p. F l i p f l o p. F l i p f l o p.
- toxonix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I had to re-read it the other day. The first time I read it was probably in the 80s, now it's become rediculously relevant. Especially since it appears that many of the policy/decision makers are drinking their own kool-aid. What is most disturbing is that not only does the government lie about policy, it believes its lies.
- cl0r0x70, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Don't see a reason to smear gays.
Gays, by and large, don't molest children at a higher rate than straight people. It's Republican congressman and priests that you have to look out for. - gadgetuk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6@macfanboi "In the of defense of the Bush Administration, they don't recall saying "Stay the Course". That's good enough for me, and the rest of the American People."
My sarcasm meter just blew a fuse so let me just say....
Whaaaaa...? - cthulhu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7If it's so silly, why bother repeatedly lying about it.
- migbike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Maybe they are trying to free up troops/resources for the impending invasion of North Korea.. just a thought...
- e68895f, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7khlasi, : a few more to add :)
Axes of Evil
Evildoers
Unknown Unknowns
Islamic Fascists - centinall, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I doubt that they're going to get them out before the November elections. But you might be right that they're changing their position now in preparation for withdrawal soon. I really don't have any ideas about what we should and shouldn't do... but what can we honestly say was a single positive result of the invasion? I seriously can't think of a single one.
- centinall, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Anyone else having problems with youtube? I can see "Save to Favorites", "Add to Groups", etc... but the "Down the Memory Hole" link is gone. Anyone else having this problem?
Winston. - MGinLV, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5They are just trying to set up the withdrawal of troops, while trying to save face in the eyes of the idiots who actually still back the lying bastards, oops I mean the Republicans,,,they are going to get out just in time for the elections so they can try and make the voters happy.......I am a voter and I am not happy now and will not be happy with them in November.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarcasm - rdotson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5If you want documentary evidence of just how corrupt our government is, watch the movie: "The Revolution Will Not be Televised."
- tenaciousdino, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6I think we can all see that those clips were all taken out of context. In each case before he said "stay the course" the reporter asked what the strategy in Iraq WASNT going to be.
- walkingdogs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Georges Bush's mind... " Who knew they had all this video footage of me saying stay the course. I hope no one notices. Ahh who cares anyways I can do what I want, thats why i passed all these new laws anyways isn't it? Dick what do you think?"
What a Douchebag!!! Only a couple more weeks of republican power and then we can stop all his efforts and hopefully impeach the SOB and all his cronies!!! - metamethod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Oceania has always been waging war on Oceania's people
- labmouse42, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Bartlett must have missed the message from Snow on how to ***** the public.
Perhaps he needs to go take some lessons from Rice. - tenaciousdino, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4@limeaid
bitter much? - 60days, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Jesus its painful reading these threads sometimes. Do any of you actually have a counter argument beyond "ZOMG LIBERALS!". You know, address the points made in the links , present counter-arguments with evidence, point out flawed thinking (systematically, not just 'UR WRONG'). Something, anything, related to reality, and not confined to political caricature. Seriously, we need some decent debate on digg.
- jaycliche, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3"(gasp), someone with something sensible and non-liberal to say. As if pigg users would allow this to remain for more than a few minutes. Diggs users policy: "If you're not bashing Bush, or kissing up to the ACLU, keep walking."
Cry me a river, conservative crybaby. Maybe in 20 years or so your fellow conservatives will discover the "internets" until then go back to your AM radio and your cable "news".
Conservatives just seem like they won' t be happy until they control everything...control freaks. - xutopia, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Next:
"We just said those things because that's what you guys wanted to hear and we wanted the oil in Iraq!" - Web_Weasel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@migbike
You misspelled Iran. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Good one, centinall. I got it. Just finished the Orwell masterpiece.
- dclowd9901, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@mareeba:
It's understandable that you hate the administration in charge, as do I. But as much as I am for their exile from office, I'm not sure it's fair to label all republicans as pedophiles. And if they were all gay? So what. All that would make them is hypocrites, which is what I think you were really getting at.
As far as the video goes, I can't believe that bitch of a reporter let that ***** off like that. I would've called him out on his bull immediately. - labmouse42, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Bartlett must have missed the message from Snow on how to ***** the public.
Perhaps he needs to go take some lessons from Rice. - bshock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Hey, that's right. You can't have a "Stay the Course" strategy if you've never had any goddamn strategy at all.
