- DylanClements, on 10/02/2008, -6/+342Talk about a technically savvy campaign.
- realestateloop, on 10/02/2008, -12/+190Damn Obamas Campaign does not ***** around. 2 steps ahead Mcbush. The app looks great.
- blakecr, on 10/02/2008, -11/+114In other News McCain has just issued stone cutting kits to supporters to get out the vote via "tablets." McCain apparently did not realize that "talets" did not mean the stone variety.
- AtHomeBoy2000, on 10/02/2008, -15/+103Barack, can you buy me an iPhone? :)
- bimini, on 10/02/2008, -6/+86I'm friends with three of the core developers -- they did all the work as volunteers, the Obama campaign paid nothing. So kicksave, your $35 had nothing to do with it.
- charm803, on 10/02/2008, -7/+70Love him or hate him, Obama has set the bar for politics in the 21st century with the technology at hand.
I have a feeling that if he wins the White House, he will be taking advantage of the grassroots support he built and techonology even more.
The application itself is pretty impressive, it combines the widgets and the social networking across the country in real life, not jut virtually.
"Call Friends: A great volunteering tool that lets you make a difference any time you want by talking to people you already know. Your contacts are prioritized by key battleground states, and you can make calls and organize results all in one place." - jpsoraire, on 10/02/2008, -8/+63Thanks for this great application, thanks for all of your hard work

- ElBeh, on 10/02/2008, -4/+49Obama + iPhone = Instafrontpage
- Olon97, on 10/02/2008, -0/+44Tell them they did great work and we all appreciate it.
- waj3, on 10/02/2008, -6/+50Congratulations to @ravenme, @lyzadanger, @grigs, and the rest of the team on a well-designed and highly functional application; not to mention that it could affect the course of history! Seriously, how many hours before MSNBCNN and the rest pick up this story?
- Wargalas, on 10/02/2008, -2/+453
- lwdupont, on 10/02/2008, -7/+48That's a pretty inventive use of technology - good job!
- ajUCI, on 10/02/2008, -3/+35*technologically
- mattblalock, on 10/02/2008, -10/+41This app ROCKS. Trust me. McCain doesn't even use a computer, Obama has his own iPhone app.
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -8/+39Can I get a John McCain app for my abacus?
- acroyear2, on 10/02/2008, -3/+31Well, I appreciate your opinion but from a technology standpoint (and a 21st century standpoint) using tools like this is truly where we're going. Touchscreen democracy. It's smart. Plain and simple. This will be talked about down the road. Our grandkids will do things like this.
It may not be as important as foreign policy but it clearly points out who is forward thinking and who isn't. - temsi, on 10/02/2008, -3/+27Since you apparently cannot afford one, you're most likely in the tax bracket that will receive the most tax relief, which means you can buy your own iPhone next year, with the money you otherwise would have sent to Uncle Sam to pay for Bush's war.
- PacificChef, on 10/02/2008, -7/+30This is amazing...imagine the kind of informative world Obama camp can organize once he is IN office!!!
- Cadicus, on 10/02/2008, -3/+25I would start arguing.. but i'm 90% sure your just looking to get flamed. Sigh.
- charm803, on 10/02/2008, -2/+23That is pretty impressive to have on your resume, I must say.
"Created the Obama iPhone Application."
"You're hired!"
Agreed, we do appreciate it.
It's one thing to use widgets and go online, but to have this type of application at the palm of your hand is pretty forward thinking. - acroyear2, on 10/02/2008, -7/+28Telling rape victims life isn't fair. Typical McCain supporter.
- silent7seven, on 10/02/2008, -1/+21How are you relating an iPhone app and Windows ME? Either you're comparing an Apple product and a Microsoft product or implying that the Obama campaign created Windows ME.
Either way, you picked a bad week to stop huffing paint thinner. - mbannister, on 10/02/2008, -5/+24Looks good. Hope it catches on... it would be interesting to see what is on the media page come this evening.
- mav16, on 10/02/2008, -3/+22Nice to see a Presidential candidate in tune and making use of today's technology.
- radzack, on 12/02/2008, -6/+24All I can say is great job. Can't wait to see elections 12 years down the road.
- ausfahrt, on 10/02/2008, -2/+20if you are technologically savvy then technically you are savvy.
- kwasmosis, on 10/02/2008, -6/+23This is the exact reason he needs to be our next president.
He understands the 21st century, and he is innovative with it.
Grandpa McSame can go back to the retirement home. - docmphd, on 10/02/2008, -3/+19Another example of how Portland, Oregon is making a name for itself with mobile app devleopment. Great job!
- DarkPrincess74, on 10/02/2008, -1/+16That's surprisingly since he invented Blackberries.
- napshock, on 10/02/2008, -3/+18When Obama wins, expect:
- twitter broadcasts from the White House (kewl)
- Digg-style voting in congress (kewl)
- facebook-like profile tied with your SSN (scary?) - voyetra8, on 10/02/2008, -4/+19The entire campaign is being run like a well-oiled machine.
It's clear Obama know how to manage. At the very least, he knows how to appoint the right people to get stuff done.
Well done. - charm803, on 10/02/2008, -5/+19Can you imagine having this app next time someone tells you why they aren't voting for Obama?
Just having the issues at hand is a good rebuttal. - kicksave, on 10/02/2008, -19/+33At least I know my $35 went towards the cause =) An iphone app and a cool t-shirt. Thanks Obama!
Cant wait to get the President Obama's Government Spending App come January. - malex, on 10/02/2008, -4/+18Did you really just say "black supremacist"?
Christ. - audiored, on 10/02/2008, -1/+14How many iPhones w/ 2 year contract can you buy for $700billions?
- dxgg, on 10/02/2008, -4/+16With the amount of money in taxes you'll be saving, he essentially _will_ buy you an iPhone.
- eldorado163, on 10/02/2008, -8/+20This is awesome. Congrats to the launch team... looks pretty sweet. I love being able to go straight to the videos. And nice timing with the debate tonight and so many people focused on the race...
- rz8472, on 10/02/2008, -2/+13It's a good thing that McCain has telegraph-based communications locked down.
- wasabimonster, on 10/02/2008, -1/+12Enough to start bailing out the economy.
- 360glitch, on 10/02/2008, -2/+13I'm not an Obama supporter but I checked out the app via the link to the website... quite impressive.
- CMiYC, on 10/02/2008, -4/+15I am installing the app just for the icon.
- inactive, on 10/02/2008, -3/+14agree
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -3/+14Anti-American? Jeremiah Wright was a Marine...
You see some things way too black and white, my friend. - anagoge, on 10/02/2008, -2/+13I always used to think people were typing sawy and then I realised.
- peznex, on 10/02/2008, -5/+16From Obama's Issues: "Barack Obama strongly supports the principle of network neutrality."
From McCain's Issues: "John McCain does not believe in prescriptive regulation like 'net-neutrality,'"
And, a description from Google about why network neutrality is important: http://www.google.com/help/netneutrality.html
The point is this further emphasizes Obama's technical knowledge. - JMaj, on 10/02/2008, -1/+11@btshul
Have you seen the pastor McCain wanted support from?

- kushin, on 10/02/2008, -0/+10It would be cool if it has voting locations based on the location and reminders for early voting and on the voting day.
- sleepless, on 10/02/2008, -5/+15What about a Blackberry App???
