- Sc0rned, on 10/10/2007, -12/+222BUT CLINTON!
- cherish592, on 10/10/2007, -7/+192"I am the first president in US history to refuse United Nations election inspectors access during the 2002 US elections."
Thats the scariest part- for all of you who say "oh, we'll just elect someone else".... - xxBondsxx, on 10/10/2007, -6/+137all jokes aside, this is actually a very well summarized and coherent overview of Bush's mistakes
I'd like to see someone respond back with a bullet point list of what he has done FOR the country, but then again Bush-supporters don't really think in that way. They just think
"***** yeah we killed some afghani's!!!! go bush" - senorcool, on 10/10/2007, -4/+131I don't understand how people can be so apathetic about Bush when he has done all of those things.
- gottadiggit, on 10/10/2007, -4/+115The closing statement should be "And I owe a big thanks to Main Stream Media for which much of this would not have been possible."
- PATSCRU, on 10/10/2007, -3/+70Welcome to the wonderful political climate of America in the new millenium. the land of nobody giving a flying ***** as the ship sinks deeper and deeper.
- Stewmoney, on 10/10/2007, -3/+66No mention of Katrina in there either.
- wivelscott, on 10/10/2007, -1/+53They should add his veto on stem cell research, basically writing off the many people with cancer, Parkinson's disease, spinal cord injuries, muscle damage etc.
- EntropyMan, on 10/10/2007, -2/+45Bush: and by the way, I am Cthulhu.
- LordSlashstab55, on 10/10/2007, -9/+49I e-mailed this to my representative.
BTW this is the fourth Reich - forteller, on 10/10/2007, -1/+40Yes, it's a good list, but I just wish there was a _lot_ of citation in there. Sources you can use to check the accuracy of allegations are always extremely important, no matter how obvious the allegations may seem to you! Anyone can set up a list of allegations if they don't need to provide citations. This website could be a powerfull tool in the fight for convincing people about the facts about Bush, if only it cited its sources. Anyone know of a similar list with citations that I can show Bush-supporters?
- creiss74, on 10/10/2007, -3/+39How would the UN (which we practically fund and run) compromise our sovereignty by observing our election to make sure it was carried out securely and fairly?
- revenge7, on 10/10/2007, -0/+31Yeah, because we do a great job of monitoring our own elections...
- deasterly, on 10/10/2007, -0/+27That is fine in the absence of cronyism. It was so his CRIMINAL FRIENDS could get the contracts that makes it reprehensible.
- creiss74, on 10/10/2007, -1/+22It's because they can watch American Idol and talk about Paris Hilton instead.
- JerodSlay, on 10/10/2007, -0/+20This will be good to memorize for all the neo-cons and ignorant people who still think he's a good president and should be trusted with our country.
Doesn't this list satisfy "high crimes and misdemeanors?" - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+22Didn't he refuse funding for some type of construction project that would've greatly reduced the effects of the hurricane?
- Tourney3p0, on 10/10/2007, -1/+20"It is funny noting how all the posts on weekends are the ultra lefties. The ones that have NO LIVES."
And you're right there with them. Way to incriminate yourself.
Nobody ever said you guys were bright. - Rocketbird, on 10/10/2007, -4/+22I wouldn't be surprised if the last thing he did was find a way to remove the law that a president can only run for 2 terms then magically got re-elected =P
- sanfelice4, on 10/10/2007, -1/+18"I removed more checks and balances, and have the least amount of congressional oversight than any presidential administration in US history."
Just food for thought...with the coming landslide victory for the Democrats in the presidential election, why would Bush be making all these unprecedented power grabs and then so easily hand them over to the democrats in 2008?
With an attack on Iran looming over us, does anyone remember the exec order to declare martial law without the approval of congress, just the need for a "national emergency" (or whatever it was)?
Suspended elections anyone????? We should all be very careful, sometimes it just makes too much sense... - payndz, on 10/10/2007, -3/+20In an ideal and just world, Bush and his cronies would be removed from office, tried for corruption at the least and treason at the most, and sentenced to many years in federal prison.
But we all know that's never going to happen, because it would be the start of the slippery slope - if taken to its logical conclusion, there would only be about six people left in the entire 'democratically' elected US government. On both sides of Congress.
In all honesty, I can't help suspecting that the reason the Dems haven't tried to impeach Bush and co is because they want all those new secret executive powers of the Decider for themselves when they win the White House next time around. How can they use them if they've already taken them away? - gordeaoux, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16You don't have to evict people to build adequate protections or send help when they need it.
- jaxcs, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15he set a limit on basal stem cells saying that we had more cell kinds to do research with than we actually did. It's not just about money although money would definitely be helpful and ensure that discoveries made are PUBLIC discoveries and can't be monopolized by a private corporation.
- hplasm, on 10/10/2007, -2/+17Don't insult Cthulhu.
- RainDrizzleFog, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15LALALA I'M NOT LISTENING BUSH IS GREAT LALALA
Idiot. - LtJimDangle2, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14"if you want to fund it, be my guest."
I feel the same way about the war in Iraq, charlie55, why don't you and the rest of the 24% of Americans who support this war fund it? - truthslap, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15whats the color of the rock you live under?
- goffy59, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14block for being a ***** idiot.
- Tourney3p0, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12"Let me ask you this, since Bush has been president, what has he done that has affected your daily life in any way, outside of increased airport security?"
Increased airport security? There's no increase in security. There's simply an increase in inconvenience so we can have the facade of safety against all the darkies.
I went through the Charlotte airport a couple weeks ago the day after they had that big scare. I accidentally left my cigar cutter in my pocket, which is basically the same as two ultra sharp box cutters in a guillotine shape. No beeps, no warnings, nothing. But at least their failure added about an hour to my pre-flight. I certainly felt safer. - meatmcguffin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13That's either very clever, subtle sarcasm or very stupid, obnoxious stupidity. I'm torn...
- hehdot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12...and we all know what happens to Empires.
- kds405, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14Well...it's our fault I suppose. While everyone was making fun of him for his stupidity, he was really raping America so him and his friends(evangelicals, corporate leaders, blue bloods) could continue their lavish lives of power and riches. Bush is a dangerous mastermind and I can't wait for history to place him amongst the ranks of the worst people of this generation.
- lithuin, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14@xen0blue
I find it disturbing, and somewhat depressing, that your measure for the effectiveness of an elected leader is simply how it affects you directly. You would have been a hoot to hang out with during WW2... - Damienk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12...therefore they can't prevent at least a bit of the damage one might cause?
- devin_mm, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12If the UN doesn't belong in the US where does it belong? What makes the US different than any other country?
- bigp3rm, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13Wow just wow..
- ohanon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10Bush's Resume
http://politicalhumor.about.com/library/blbushresume.htm - lithuin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Well, you did a brilliant job of insulting someone from behind the anonymity of the internet.
Now how about refuting some of these points and contributing to a legitimate conversation? - ngmcs8203, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10Sadly, I don't think his administration will be held responsible for the lack of response and help not sent in the first critical days... it seems as if the Katrina disaster was almost brushed aside by his administration and his friends over at FEMA until the nation started ridiculing them for their horrid response time.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -5/+14The same "group" that runs Bush&Co also Killed JFK!
- meatmcguffin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Chomp!
Dammit. - DangerCollie, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8We have lives....which we'll dedicate to getting involved in politics. And when we get control we'll provide a nice comfortable place for you to retire where you can threaten to write the president if you don't get extra dessert.
- SheilaNoya, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8This list should be engraved in stone in front of Bush's newly constructed Presidential Library. It should also appear in every schoolbook, so we never end up with another idiot like Bush in the White House again.
- plastictaxi, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8
"I am the first president in US history to order a US attack AND military occupation of a sovereign nation, and I did so against the will of the United Nations and the vast majority of the international community. "
-- I think McKinley has that one - or do the Philipines count? Teddy Roseveldt in Panama? -- sure, that was before the UN existed, I guess. But there is a U.S. tradition of beating up little poorly armed countries for Dubya to draw on.
Otherwise - yeah. Democracy was nice while it lasted. - subterfuge, on 10/10/2007, -10/+18i thought one or two of those things were good, actually. it said he decreased unemployment handouts, which i think needs to be reformed, and he lets criminals get government contracts. if a criminal has served his or her time, why should he or she be discriminated against after the sentence is over?
- brister, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9I still can't believe he is still in office and i have a bad feeling he is still going to do even more damage before he leaves.
- BossKey, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Which makes it even more ironic that the reason the Bush Administration said their longer-than-WWII war on Iraq was legally justified is because of UN resolutions!
They take every opportunity to hate on the UN, and then they totally point to them for moral and legal support for actions guaranteed to result in deaths. Nice. - Sunuva, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8I think its mostly because mainstream media keeps us pacified... as gottadiggit alludes to. First they beat the drums to get us into war, now they refuse to ask tough questions about getting us out.
- hplasm, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8The Monkees?
- noahhoward, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7How could you be buried for pointing this out. As bad as our current republicans are Democrats have never been angels either. I don't know how people can heap so much trust behind them. They all need to be removed but I don't think anyone here could figure out how to do it.
