NCLB was Laura's baby (as much as health care was Hillary's baby). It was based of a Houston program that had huge results, that were later determined to be completely fraudulent.
        There are many aspects of NCLB that are great, and needed. But without fully funding it, all it does is add meaning less overhead for teachers, and skews curriculum towards standardized tests.

College graduates tend to be more liberal than high school grads. Those with a Master's degree tend to be more liberal than those with bachelor's. Those with a doctorate tend to be the most liberal of all.

        Yes, there are many other factors and there are definitely some very educated conservatives, but the facts remain that most highly educated people in our country are liberal.

      there's nothing hypocritical about those conditionals. the people who happen to populate each function (kennedy, jerry falwell) happen to change, but the functions are static and not at all unfairly discriminatory. in any case, there is no bad double standard here.

      P.S. "IF Jerry Falwell is bad AND ronald reagan is not, THEN it's appropriate to slander Falwell BUT NOT Reagan in x ways under certain y circumstances." that's not an exception, it's the rule.

          A malignant brain tumour (yeah I'm british) will be very hard to treat. The easiest way I can describe it is to take form a fist and place it in your other hand. Thats like a benign tumour. Its contained, and can be treatable. A malignant on the other hand, well thats more like your fingers entertwined with the fingers of your other hand.

          Simply put, surgery can't be an option as it'll be mixed in with the other healthy brain tissue. Chemo and radiotherapy are the only options and unfortunately, at his age and state of health, I would say his prognosis is poor. Maybe even less than half a year. The way that brain tumours can shut down body systems means its probably the most undignified cancer to get. I really feel for the Kennedy family.
