- hsansom, on 06/12/2008, -51/+258What a shock! Israelis brutalizing Palestinians.
A real shock will come if _any_ major American media outlet carries this. And, to follow on another's remarks, this won't stop the Israeli war criminals from committing further atrocities. As for the Israeli justice system, there would have to be a drastic departure from standard practice for the Israelis to prosecute any colonist or soldier for atrocities committed against Palestinians. - zombies187, on 06/12/2008, -41/+215A Palestinian family needs to leave their own property? Why? Because they will be attacked if they stay? Thats weird. I'm always told that Muslims are fighting for God, but it looks like they are fighting to live in their own homes. There is a holy war going on against THEM. For living in the country they were born in. Why would America sent military support to a nation that is pushing smaller weaker groups out of the territory that their parents were born it? Is it because voters support kicking the Palestinians out of their homes? Call it what it is: an attempt at ethnic cleansing. If thats Israeli land, then where is the IDF to protect these people? Oh, every Israeli is required to serve in the IDF, so those batguys ARE the IDF.
- kieranmaine, on 06/12/2008, -30/+167Hopefully this will act as an example that to 'fight' Israel you don't have to use weapons but evidence and the Israeli criminal justice system. Of course this won't stop the likes of Hamas, but if the average citizen realizes you can bring about change without committing murder then this is a positive step.
- sensor, on 06/12/2008, -46/+143The Israeli crowd will be here soon shouting antisemitism. Just watch. Oh and did they not hand out the manuals while they were handing out those cameras? That was incredibly shaky + zoomed in. Hard to see anything.
- zerocool1990, on 06/12/2008, -25/+95Ok, so you say this proves nothing ? What about the attack carried out by 20+ Israelis on 2 young men in a settlement near Jerusalem a couple of weak ago. Can you deny that ? It was all over the Israeli news.
- inactive, on 06/12/2008, -20/+85Are you telling me sometimes Jews aren't the victims but actually the perpetrators.
- monsieurginger, on 06/12/2008, -9/+72I sure hope they find out who the attackers are.
- inactive, on 06/12/2008, -15/+65Here's yesterday's Israeli brutality
http://digg.com/world_news/Israeli_fire_kills_girl ... - thesquib, on 06/12/2008, -26/+75Occupation 101 - the movie.
- urik88, on 06/12/2008, -13/+60If that's true, they should be judged.
You can't say that the system doesn't work. Last week, two soldiers were convicted to around 6 months of jail for beating two 17 years old Palestinians. - noamchomskeet, on 06/12/2008, -15/+55Maybe groups like that are a result of years of being ignored by the world and the Israeli criminal justice system...which itself is rock solid right, since they allow Jews that are wanted fugitives from other countries to flee back to Israel to avoid prosecution.
- ad33lshahid, on 06/12/2008, -16/+55***** apologist. open your damn eyes, do you really think these things dont happen? the footage was provided by an ISRAELI group and so were the cameras. You really think these people have nothing better to do than to "stage" beatings and get broken arms and fractured cheek bones for it?
- inactive, on 06/13/2008, -17/+53What a bunch of *****.
To anyone blinded by stupid politics or just picking one side and sticking to it, think...
that's a vid of and elderly man be savagely attacked by 4 men with weapons.
it's horrible. - BeefBaron, on 06/13/2008, -14/+46While you talk peace, another Palestinian house is being bulldozed to move in more Israelites.
- SaladCactusKing, on 06/13/2008, -3/+35This is the reason so many Israelis want the settlers gone. Hopefully soon the Kadima party and the Labor party will finally manage to kick the Settlers out, beating any sort of protests from the Likud or the other hard-right Israeli politicians. This is a step Israel has to take.
- NacaV, on 06/13/2008, -15/+40All because of Holy land BS.
- MassRoadKill, on 06/12/2008, -37/+61When I watch a video like this, I think that the house of Israel might be ready for a fall. I cannot imagine the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob tolerating this kind of gratuitous violence. They think they are immune from punishment. But, as history has shown, they have had a bumpy relationship with being righteous and blessed, or wicked and destroyed.
There is a pattern in the Old Testament. Jehovah blessed the Israelites and protected them from their enemies. Over time, they prospered. With this prosperity, unfortunately, came pride, wickedness, and eventual destruction. For example, I do not think the Lord would not have allowed Babylon to destroy the Israelites if they had been keeping his commandments. But they were not. Read your Bible.
Israel is abusing her longstanding relationship with the United States. They pick fights and expect America to clean up the mess. And, the citizens of America cannot say otherwise because they will be called anti-Semite. My problems with Israel's warmongering and racist attitude towards Palestinians has nothing to do with their religion. It has to do with the Israelites as a nation. As a sovereign nation. Attacking their foreign policy is not attacking the Law of Moses or the Jewish religion. It is attacking their behavior within the context of their religion. - inactive, on 06/12/2008, -10/+35Yep, it is all about anti-semitism. Right on cue.
- ileftfark, on 06/13/2008, -7/+30PROTIP: Regardless of country of origin, people on the whole tend to be dicks.
- inactive, on 06/13/2008, -11/+33You can still say the system doesn't work. So, once in a while a few people get convicted for doing what is done as a matter of routine. Check B'tselem and find out how many of them get away with it.
Anyway, the Israeli system of 'justice' does not think the occupation or the settlements are illegal. It is definitely severely limited. - inactive, on 06/13/2008, -10/+33Another act of Israeli settlers' benevolence
http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3554822, ... - rperiod, on 06/13/2008, -5/+26Makes sense. Israel "promotes democracy" the same way America is in Iraq.
- inactive, on 06/12/2008, -19/+39This is a great idea. It would be nice to get them some tripods and send a few pallets full of cameras and tripods to iraq so we could get some "media coverage" of all the atrocities going on in the judeo american imperialist movement.
- inactive, on 06/12/2008, -28/+48Not the first time settlers have raised hell in the Occupied Territory:

- SpaceDreamer, on 06/13/2008, -14/+31they deserve to be judged by palestinians, since they are in palestinian territory.
- celticspringers, on 06/12/2008, -49/+65Thank G-d Israel exists to promote democracy in the middle east and whack the ***** out of old arab men.
- kieranmaine, on 06/12/2008, -7/+24These are 8-year old examples of Israeli police people getting away with crimes:
As far as I know no one has been sentenced for the killing of 13 civilians during the 2000 riots in Israel. http://216.239.59.104/search?q=cache:vx5K2WP66QUJ: ...
Also when snipers fired upon a car on 2 Oct 2000 that contained a doctor and his wife, driving home, the wife was hit 4 times. The snipers and initially fabricated a story a Molotov cocktail was thrown from the car. When this was found to be untrue the the snipers said the car was driving at them. This was also found to be untrue due to ballistic tests. As far as I know no one was punished for this. I initially read this in the book http://www.jkcook.net/Blood-and-Religion.htm#Top. Of the 5 sources it lists 3 are in Haaretz (http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/pages/arch/ArchSearch ... - 'Police invented Molotov...' and http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/pages/arch/ArchSearch ... - 'Police officer admits...') and Jerusalem Post archives (http://pqasb.pqarchiver.com/jpost/access/75279947. ... and . This one is viewable http://www.adalah.org/newsletter/eng/sep05-s/cores ... The final source is listed as the author interviewing the driver of the car. - zephyear, on 06/12/2008, -33/+49nonnoo man the jews are the real victims here
i mean this is obvious antisemitism here, the jewish people can do no harm, they are god chosen!
RIGHT - jh11, on 06/13/2008, -0/+14the muslim religion arrived after the israelis, the arabic/palestinian people had been there already, its not like the israelis were there first. both groups have been there for a very long time.
- buggu, on 06/13/2008, -4/+18Israeli brutalities are very rarely checked into, much less held accountable by law. Even IDF soldiers themselves have confessed to crimes, and yet they have yet to be convicted (see Break The Silence). This is just the tip of the iceburg. Several such reports never make it to the mainstream press and are relegated to human rights reports. Whenever something like this occurs, Israel's supporters call it "Pallywood" and do everything to rationalize the act or claim it as fabricated. There simply is no comparison in the ratio of Israeli policing towards Israelis and the Palestinians. While Israel is the second largest captor in the world of children, IDF soldiers have killed unarmed children, destroyed Palestinian housing and engaged in number of criminal activities regularly and walked away free people.
- romeboards, on 06/13/2008, -3/+17as an american jew, i in no way justify Israel to be given the right to act with impunity, in fact, i think it should be scrutinized more as an ally of our country. But there are some things many (not all) of the narrow-minded commenter need to realize:
1. You cannot views the actions of a few people so be the actions of the Israeli government or the citizenry as a whole.
2. Likewise, there are factions of Palestinians fighting back, committing many of the same atrocities as the "extremist" Israeli/ Jewish factions. Note the word "extremist" that far, far end of the bell curve. The same applies with the KKK for Christianity and al-quaeda for Muslins. NEITHER side is right, and it is unfair to 97% (or resulting high percentage) of zionists including myself (ill be in Israel next week) who DO NOT condone this unnecessary violence. To say Jews have no place in Israel is ludicrous, but the unfair treatment of many Palestination is also unfair. A more moderate approach is needed and both sides must make compromises. This issue is so inherently complicated that to be saying absolutes like many of the things i've read is ignorant and wrong. - inactive, on 06/13/2008, -10/+23 Israel Refuses to Extradite a Murder Suspect

Israel has decided not to extradite a Maryland high school student wanted for murder in the dismemberment of another teen-ager, saying he would be tried there instead. But both Montgomery County officials and the defendant's Israeli lawyer complained today that that would make it impossible to try the case properly, - sensor, on 06/12/2008, -8/+21Where did I say that? Always when there's ANYTHING negative (this story is beyond negative) about Israel here ... all the ***** flock to the site to shout ANTISEMITISM!!!!1111
- inactive, on 06/13/2008, -0/+13And the Canaanites were there for hundreds of years until the Israelis came and unceremoniously slaughtered them all, so what's your point you little *****?
- kublerross, on 06/13/2008, -2/+15being a human it brought a tear to mine
- mmmmmbiscuits, on 06/13/2008, -0/+12Thanks but I will bury you instead, nerfherder.
- inactive, on 06/13/2008, -6/+17Being a Palestinian American.. seeing this video and reading this reply brought a tear to my eye.
- potisreallygood, on 06/13/2008, -4/+15Note to self: when 4 masked with puffed out chest and baseball bats are walking towards me...move.
- inactive, on 06/13/2008, -8/+20There are wonderful people in Israel. There are honest and compassionate judges. There is open and honest discourse in the media........
and then there is Likud and the Orthodox Zionists bent on the recreation of Biblical Israel and ready to depopulate it of Infidels again.
I guess that it is hard to feel compassion for the Palestinians when you hear the voice of Yahveh order you to cleanse them from the lands of Israel. So the Zionists go about the slow process of cleaning out Judea a little at a time, so as not to awaken the disapproval of the bloated American idiot government with the fat checkbook - sonofashoe, on 06/13/2008, -2/+13Yes doc. It would garner over 200 diggs and I would claim that the city/county/state has some racial issues.
- SaladCactusKing, on 06/13/2008, -12/+23I haven't heard anyone in this thread cry antisemitism, but I've heard a lot of people saying people WILL cry antisemitism before anyone has. Just observing.
- wpi97, on 06/12/2008, -6/+16"Hamas has a right to throw random rockets at Israel. But, please don't assume that I believe that anyone has the right to use useless random violence."
Apparently the contradiction between these two sentences is hard for you to see.... - monsieurginger, on 06/13/2008, -4/+14When does it end?
- inactive, on 06/12/2008, -6/+16You know very well that these four examples of Israeli compassion served in the IDF. They certainly don't appear to have the bearing of pacifists to me.
