- Dimensio, on 12/05/2008, -0/+15"A lesser cost would have been incurred if a vaulted birth certificate had been presented in a single courtroom."
Your statement suggests that you are wholly unaware of the nature of court proceedings. There would be an initial "discovery" phase prior to the presentation of any documentation, and both sides would be granted the opportunity to present arguments. This would result in legal charges for hours worked by attorneys.
Additionally, at least two lawsuits allege that Mr. Obama is not a "natural born" United States citizen for reasons other than the location of his birth, which means that a "vaulted birth certificate" would be irrelevant in addressing those claims. That you have ignored this fact, in spite of having been informed of it previously, strongly suggests that you are not honest. - Dimensio, on 12/04/2008, -4/+17"You also forgot the tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars that Obama and the DNC have spent with attorney fees fighting these various suits."
Please provide a reference for this cost, and demonstrate that a lesser cost would have been incurred by allowing all of the filed lawsuits to go to trial. - inactive, on 12/05/2008, -1/+11blogspam.
Hawaiian law prohibits the release of any information about birth certificates unless directed by a court of law. Therefore, they cannot confirm or deny any information that is on Obama's birth certificate. They gave all the information they are legally allowed to give. Furthermore, they have indicated that they have personally seen Obama's birth certificate and they have seen Obama's CoLB. If there was a discrepancy, they most certainly could have questioned the validity of the CoLB. They have not done so.
Why is that?
You've got nothing to go on but right wing rage. I promise you this, we won't let anyone forget all this nonsense once it's over and you've been shown to be complete loons. I will do whatever I can to make sure the GOP can't ever take the nut wing of the party seriously again for fear of becoming (even more) irrelevant. - inactive, on 12/05/2008, -1/+9Obama supplied his valid Birth Certificate and the right wing nut jobs lied through their teeth claiming that it was a forgery. Why would Obama or anyone else think that this wouldn't happen if he released any other document?
"No president elect in history has rushed so quickly to get into the office." WTF does that even mean? Obama is not Hiro Nakamura, he is not able to travel through time and space. Obama cannot expedite his swearing in ceremony, it happens on 20 Jan 09. What he can do is to lay the groundwork as much as possible before he takes the reigns. If anything, the fact that he's getting everything done as soon as possible shows just how seriously he takes the job and how good of a leader he is going to be.
It's unreal what you people will try to spin as a negative. - Verchiel77, on 12/05/2008, -1/+9You're half right. None of this Birther BS should be tolerated and, thankfully, it's receiving the scorn and derision it deserves.
- IIAmusedII, on 12/05/2008, -3/+11PS. Hope won. Deal with it.
- IIAmusedII, on 12/05/2008, -1/+7I am so enjoying your bitching and moaning. Please don't stop whinin' & cryin.'
- IIAmusedII, on 12/05/2008, -3/+9You republitards wiped your ass with the Constitution for the last eight years, so STFU.
- thepoliticalcat, on 12/05/2008, -3/+9Listen, are you participating in some sort of stupidity contest? Because you have a good chance of winning. EVEN IF Barack Obama, your new President, was born in Kenya, which he was not according to his COLB and his medical birth certificate, that does not make him a foreign citizen as his mother was a U.S. citizen and could have applied for citizenship for him at any time between the day he was born and the day she died. However, that's moot, because both the Hawai'ian authorities and several other NONPARTISAN groups have stated that, according to documents in their possession or seen by them, he was born in Honolulu, Hawai'i.
He could NOT have renounced his citizenship when he moved to Indonesia for the simple reason that you are required to be an adult under the laws of the state in which you reside in order to renounce your citizenship. Since he was in Indonesia between the ages of 6 and 10 years, no court on the planet would consider him to have resigned his citizenship.
Finally, he is a member of the State Bar of his state, which usually requires one to submit one or more forms of government-issued identity/status certification; he was a member of the Illinois Legislature and the Congress of the U.S., both of which require security clearances, once again, based on one or more forms of government-issued identity/status certification; and finally, he is currently receiving daily security briefings on national security, which requires security clearances based on one or more forms of government-issued identity/status certification. Do you really think that every single employee of every single body involved in these multiple checks of identity somehow failed to notice whether he was a citizen? I mean, seriously. DO YOU??? Because if you do, there is absolutely no hope for you. We're talking checks that have taken place over the last two decades. Bear in mind that he traveled to Kenya and Pakistan some two decades ago. Do you think he did it with a passport? Because, you know, just in case you were, like SERIOUSLY IGNORANT about such things, you cannot travel between borders without some type of valid identity document that is accepted by the country in which you will land. If he traveled on a Kenyan or Indonesian passport, wouldn't one or more airline, customs, or airport personnel, local or foreign, have noticed this? How much money do you think they could make if they could state this unequivocally in public?
Given your ill-wishes towards those with whose political positions you fail to agree, perhaps you will now commit suicide, as you wish they would do. Good grief! - angrykeyboarder, on 12/05/2008, -3/+8The people bringing these lawsuits need serious therapy.
- inactive, on 12/05/2008, -2/+7Go read everything you find here: http://hackerfactor.com/blog/index.php?serendipity ...
Here's a quick snippet:
"Second, along with the missing green from outside the letters, Polarik claims that there should be a green thatched pattern within the letters ("O", "B", etc. have internal areas that should contain green). If you look at the child's name on the big image, you can clearly see the thatch in the letters "C", "O", "B", and "A". However, the green thatch is not as clear as the rest of the image. This happens because the image is at a very low quality: JPEG uses a lossy compression algorithm that drops off low contrast colors and preserves high contrast. The black text on light background is preserved, but the pale green thatch on light green paper blends together when combined with the high-contrast black lettering."
"Dr. Polarik" (not his real name and his analysis doesn't live up to his supposed credentials) has swindled you. Stop falling for it and grow up. - inactive, on 12/05/2008, -2/+7Exactly. The nutty right wing doesn't care that there is rock solid evidence that Obama was born in Hawaii and that his citizenship status never changed thereafter. They don't care about Obama's natually born qualifications, they simply want to undermine him in any way they can.
- inactive, on 12/05/2008, -3/+7The nutty right wing fringe is attempting to subvert the Constitution by doing whatever it can to undermine the election. Why? Because your guy lost.
So refrain from lecturing anyone on protecting the sanctity of the US Constitution. That document is an obstacle for you to subvert and overcome and nothing more. If it stands in your way, you'll be happy to ***** on it and set it on fire and dismantle the entire country if you can. - holesome, on 12/05/2008, -2/+4After the shenanigans that decided the 2000 and 2004 elections it was a given that whichever side finished in 2nd place in 2008 was going to be quick to file every sort of protest they could. This is not surprising.
What is surpising is that these folks hoping they've found something to use somehow think this wouldn't already have been checked out thoroughly both by Democratic rivals (can we really believe the Clintons would have let this pass?) and the party leaders on both sides of the aisle. There's a reason McCain, Bush, Cheney, and even Rove aren't bothering with this line of inquiry/attack. THINK about it. - Striker101, on 12/10/2008, -0/+1Amazing to me, the LibTards digging down simple support for our Constitution. But it tells us all what they are really about ... it's called communism. Surprised how many retards there are, but they'll have to deal with it all before long.
- inactive, on 12/05/2008, -1/+2Your comment was dugg down because you don't give a ***** about the constitution. To you it is clearly only a document to rely on insofar as you can try to bend it to your will. This isn't about having little patriotism, this is about having the only real sense of patriotism in this country. The constitution allows for due process, the right wing loons do not. The constitution allows for free and fair elections, the right wing does not.
You get dugg down not because the liberals on digg aren't patriotic. You get dugg down because the liberals on digg ARE patriotic and are standing up for what is right in this country. We're standing up against the tide of right wing lunacy to try to do what we can to stop the bloodless coups that you and your nutty pals are trying to pull off. - OldFogie, on 12/05/2008, -1/+1So we should believe your rant rather than the officials of the state of Hawaii? Why?
- SheilaNoya, on 12/05/2008, -2/+2The conspiracy nuts just got blown out of the water. The idiot filing the "citizenship" case with the Supreme Court admits that Obama was born in Hawaii.
http://news.aol.com/political-machine/2008/12/05/s ... - AskHack, on 12/05/2008, -4/+4Actually they did not respond at all to berg's civil suit, and aparently not to the supreme court. Without a response, I don't see how they have spent any money. If someone questioned me, I would supply the cert no questions asked, so whats the big deal? Also even the media that loves him so has commented that no president elect in history has rushed so quickly to get into the office.
- AWBoy666, on 12/05/2008, -3/+3I think the fact that my comment was dugg down shows just how little patriotism and love for country there is on Digg. SICKENING.
- AWBoy666, on 12/04/2008, -14/+13Buried for rant as description. This BS shouldn't be tolerated.
- MHunt, on 12/04/2008, -12/+11You also forgot the tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars that Obama and the DNC have spent with attorney fees fighting these various suits. Time and money that could be better spent elsewhere. Just produce the damn vaulted copy of the birth certificate (not the certificate of live birth on his web site) and let everyone on both sides move on.
For someone who claimed he was going to be so open and forthcoming, he is certainly giving the appearance of hiding something. - AskHack, on 12/06/2008, -1/+0REPLY TO BUNGALOBILL
Great thanks for the link. I had forgotten where the high resolution went.
http://cdn.factcheck.org/imagefiles/Ask%20FactChec ...
Ok go there and download the high resolution image. Get a hex editor. Open the image in a hex editor. Please explain the code found in the following addresses. 000090-0000B0. Don't have a hex editor? It shows the time and date the image was created in Photoshop CS3 Macintosh. as Jun 12 2008 at approximately 8:45
Next from address 0029F0-002A10 you will see the following B.O. B.i.r.t.h .C.e.r.t.i.f.i.c.a.t.e.-.e.d.i.t. edit? hmmmm....I wonder what they edited? You see the problem is that inside the file itself retains the original name as the document adulterer saved it as in photoshop. Obviously they renamed it before posting it to the web. But just like a type written document in MS WORD font they overlooked something. LOL
Now from address 002AF0-002DC0 count the instances of the word "slice" I think we know what the slice tool does in photoshop.
To bad Dan Rather isn't still reporting news, this looks like it came hot off his press...
I suggest you stop reading blogs and do your own research like I DID. - bvalco, on 12/06/2008, -1/+0Ask about Mr. Donofrio about 42nd Vice-President Walter Mondale who would have had German citizenship at the time of his birth through his father and also 39th Vice-President Spiro Agnew who would have had Greek citizenship at the time of his birth through his father? They were both sworn in without issue despite their father's citizenship. Also note that by the standards of Donofrio v. Wells, neither Colin Powell nor Mitt Romney nor Bobby Jindal would be "natural-born" US citizens.
This is really insulting to first-generation Americans and in particular non-White first-generation Americans since this issue was never brought up prior to inauguration or either V-P Mondale or V-P Agnew. - inactive, on 12/04/2008, -10/+8Seriously, how would the left-wing moonbats react if it turns out to be true, and Barack Hussein Obama was really born in Kenya and renounced his citizenship when he moved to Indonesia? Would they commit suicide en masse, like the lemmings they are?
- AWBoy666, on 12/04/2008, -14/+11PS: Nothing is more important than protecting the sanctity of the US Constitution, which is the basis for this entire country, its government, and the freedoms we cherish and love. How DARE you suggest otherwise.
- Temlakos, on 12/04/2008, -9/+6No, don't bury it. The article is still good, and can be a rallying point.
- lynnasmith, on 12/05/2008, -7/+3Here's a plan:
Get the big news anchors from ABC,NBC and CBS together in Hawaii. Give Andy Rooney the key to the vault holding Barack Obama's birth certificate. Andy opens the vault, retrieves the document in question and hands it off to a random US citizen. Fox will film the entire procedure. Nobody but Rooney can talk, and he can't talk much. The random citizen is flown to Washington, DC and delivers the document to the Supreme Court. Experts chosen by the court will verify the document or reveal it as a fake. And then we can all accept the outcome. - BiasedGirl, on 12/05/2008, -11/+5It just proves they don't care about his qualifications...at all.
- AskHack, on 12/05/2008, -10/+4I want to seriously lmao when i continue to see this particular jpeg image circulated. Has anyone downloaded it and zoomed in. Better yet open the file in a hex editor and hmmm.... Adobe hahhaha. Why are all the O's white in the middle? and the U's half white. Why is all the text pixelated more than the security background... Someone needs to learn how to adjust the tolerance on the magic wand a little better....
I have seriously seen college kids make better fake id's than this... BUSTED - akchrs, on 12/05/2008, -12/+5"My word people! Like it or not, he is going to be our next president and you need to move on." Kinda like the democrats did in 2000 with their we stole the election idiocy.
- 24AheadDotCom, on 12/05/2008, -14/+4-1: the article contains a huge lie. In fact, it's such a huge lie that even the most besotted BHO fan should find it disturbing:
"The Obama campaign has maintained that he was born in Hawaii, has an authentic birth certificate, and is a "natural-born" U.S. citizen. Hawaiian officials agree."
In fact, those officials have done no such thing. All they said is that there's a cert on file. They did *not* verify that he's a citizen, they just said there's a cert on file.
For the truth, see this:
http://24ahead.com/blog/archives/008184.html - MHunt, on 12/05/2008, -14/+3A lesser cost would have been incurred if a vaulted birth certificate had been presented in a single courtroom.
