- byronm, on 11/06/2007, -22/+254painful to watch him speak.. not just his annoying voice but his fidgety mannerisms.
- Daniel001, on 10/11/2007, -35/+249There's nothing particularly interesting or incriminating in that interview. Contrary to the overblown title, I'd guess it wasn't shown in the US because there was nothing much in it worth broadcasting.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -78/+277This is obviously a conspiracy at the highest levels. Of all the HUNDREDS of hours of Irish television aired in the United States every month, why did this ONE piece get spiked?
- darkskinfan87, on 11/06/2007, -9/+204"let me...let me finish...please....let me finish."
hilarious. - lickmygiggle, on 11/06/2007, -7/+168Terror and Freedom. Two words this man uses FAR too much.
- stuman77, on 10/11/2007, -26/+187Buried as innacurate: "BANNED"!=Not aired.
- Chairboy, on 10/11/2007, -14/+150It's a joke, people, aka a humorously sarcastic way of suggesting that "The mere fact that a piece of Irish television was not aired in the US is not evidence that it was banned". Or, as Shakespeare might have put it, "lighten up, Francis". Of course, I expect immediate down-digging because the people who realize they didn't understand the original poster are angry at their incomprehension and will punish the person who exposed it.
It's sad that this needs to be explained, I'm looking upon the Digg landscape and a single tear is falling from my eye. - danielrh9, on 10/11/2007, -11/+136Dugg, despite the haters. This video is very noteworthy because you would NEVER see a U.S. reporter hold his feet to the fire like this.
- disconnec, on 10/11/2007, -19/+137This man is absolutely ***** ***** crazy.
- Frost9999, on 10/11/2007, -11/+125Wow, to think that Americans actually voted for that idiot. "My job is to do my job. And to make decisions that are good for my country and the world."
The world called, it wants Bush to leave it the ***** alone. - KlayBorg, on 10/11/2007, -21/+126"But he had the capacity to make weapons!"
What a tool. I HAVE THE CAPACITY TO MAKE A WEAPON!
Everyone does, that doesn't mean we should attack them. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+86You don't get the Sarcasm Channel?
- BlackOp, on 10/11/2007, -8/+84Not to mention that neverending smug ***** smirk of his.
- wiremonkeymommy, on 10/11/2007, -6/+70She doesn't "continually interrupt", Bush is kept so sheltered from having to answer any *real* questions about his policies that he gets overly defensive. Obviously those that imply she was interrupting are furthering this dictator's hubris and sense of total entitlement; get a clue, President's are SUPPOSED to answer tough questions, not just wander off into the ether with blathering self-justifications.
- f4nt0m4s, on 10/11/2007, -17/+79while i don't think bush is a smart man, his poor interview and public speaking skills definitely don't help present himself as an intelligent individual
Bush: "I think that my relationship with God is a very personal relationship"
God: "***** this, i don't know you" - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -6/+67...and the number of lies he tells.
- dattaway, on 10/11/2007, -5/+64"They don't understand our country."
I don't think Bush understands our country. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+63I don't think he understands the significance of giving a lecture to someone from the Republic of Ireland on terrorism. I'm sure they know plenty well what that is.
Americans take note: terrorism was not invented on 11/9/01. - kenthorvath, on 10/11/2007, -6/+59Most likely, he needed more time to listen to his earpiece before finishing his answers.
- blubloblu, on 10/11/2007, -5/+58I remember seeing this on RTE, the interviewer then wrote an article for the Irish Times about how rude Bush was to her before and after the interview, I'll try to find it.
- christopheles, on 10/11/2007, -5/+56Maybe the fidgeting is from an invisible cricket on his shoulder smacking him with a folded umbrella.
- drlha, on 10/11/2007, -11/+50If you think the only reason people hate Bush is because its "cool" to do so, then you're the sheep.
- Cimlite, on 10/11/2007, -1/+39It's not just that, it's also the way he says it. Like he was talking to a child... especially there towards the end. He starts to explain how she should conduct the interview.
Never understood why journalists can't have a conversation with politicians. It's always you ask the questions, I give the (prepared in advance) answers... thank you very much. - Dracker, on 10/11/2007, -5/+42Dugg for freedom of the press
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -11/+46It's because the interviewer went off the topics that were allowed to be asked the president. So it got spiked here so no American journalist got any funny ideas. You know like doing their job!
- edru, on 10/11/2007, -3/+36*****, the United States called, and it wants Bush to leave it the ***** alone.
- dct124, on 10/11/2007, -6/+37Still, I hope the world does not base their view of America on the actions and words of Mr. Bush
- jamdogg, on 10/11/2007, -4/+33She pressured him and he became uncomfortable. Bush's answers were right out of the fascist textbook with a sugar coating to lure the uneducated. It was never shown because the president was exposed.
- pdangelo22, on 10/11/2007, -5/+32sickens me to listen to his *****!! kudos to this reporter for calling him out, wish american interviewers would show more balls like this woman
- walkingdogs, on 10/11/2007, -5/+32seeing that you don't know the difference between "here" and "hear" maybe you should avoid that same pool.
- sixspeed, on 10/11/2007, -3/+29A lot of americans DID NOT vote for that pantload. I am one of them.
- dictum, on 10/11/2007, -5/+30"I don't really try to chase popular polls, popularity polls, thats.. my job is to do my job! And make the decisions that I think are important for my country and for the world"
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States." - mikeruiz7, on 10/11/2007, -11/+36I guess there are a lot of BANNED Irish TV shows that aren't shown on American Television too?
- David513, on 10/11/2007, -11/+36And just who is it that allegedly banned the interview? Just because an interview from another country hasn't been used on U.S. TV, it doesn't mean someone has the power to "ban" it. So who are you claiming banned it? The White House? The administration doesn't have the power to do such a thing. No legal authority here could stop a U.S. network from running it if the network saw news value in it. I'm strongly opposed to Bush, but somebody is simply trying to get attention by claiming that something is banned. It's a stupid trick, because nobody has the authority (legal or otherwise) to prevent such an interview from being shown. Use your brain instead of just accepting some random person who tells you that something is banned.
- gordonm, on 10/11/2007, -3/+27Yeah, what a moran.
- Hugues, on 10/11/2007, -12/+34I think the people DO base their view of America on Mr Bush because as The President he's the incarnation of the country. He represents it. That's what a president is...
And remember you elected him... Twice. Way to go. - milarepa, on 10/11/2007, -3/+24Oh, right, like bush hasn't done anything contemptible. Pfft.
- Jwoey, on 10/11/2007, -1/+22stop stop stop stop stop doing upside down text.
- Availle, on 10/11/2007, -5/+23His continuous insistence on her letting him "finish" makes me think that he learned all those answers by heart and couldn't handle taking up the conversation again if anything unexpected came along.
- crichton101, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19if by rude you mean asking him tough questions that require a better answer then simply repeating the words "terrorists" "freedom" then yes she was very rude. He wanted to finish every super long answer that was really just saying the same thing over and over.
- typo180, on 10/11/2007, -0/+16He's using a tone of voice like he's speaking to a child.
- christopheles, on 10/11/2007, -10/+25What a prick.
- bashar129, on 10/11/2007, -1/+16The Irish will start hating you too if you don't get rid of that upside down text.
- jcrash, on 10/11/2007, -4/+18I'm sure he would disagree whenever he "decides." HE is the DECIDER!
- 4degrees, on 10/11/2007, -3/+17made me think of ross perot... "can, can.. can i finish? can i finish?"
- Pplus, on 10/11/2007, -3/+17Banned or not aired? Why am I supposed think it was banned again? There is nothing said there I haven't heard before.
I am no fan of Bush, but I'm pretty sure this wasn't aired because it's all been asked and answered before. - andburn1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13I hate how he always ***** smirks after he makes a point he finds particularly compelling. The Great Debater, that one.
- Novion76, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12there are other date systems out there in the world bud
- dracflamloc, on 10/11/2007, -13/+25No we didnt, its been proven countless times that the election was rigged in certain important sectors.
- rspeed, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13You should evaluate comments individually. He's absolutely right in this case, so I rated up the comment.
