- inactive, on 08/28/2008, -3/+32So what's up with the author of that?
She write puff pieces on entertainment except when dogging Dems?
Take a look at her past stuff. It's entertainment crap, except for the few negative spins on Dems.
She has NO articles on politics except Dem negative stuff on Obama and the DNC and Edwards.
LOL
Not very good at hiding her bias. - alapoet, on 08/28/2008, -4/+16Ask Minneapolis next week.
- t3rmv3locity, on 08/29/2008, -3/+15This is the republican attack machine's new talking point. I think they are desperate enough...
'Obama dosen't know how to party! Vote McCain hes a party machine!' - FrankTheCrazy, on 08/29/2008, -0/+9Can someone please explain to me how this is newsworthy, let alone NYTimes or even Digg worthy?
- PanicAK, on 08/29/2008, -0/+8Because the tourism industry is the devil right?
- databeast, on 08/29/2008, -1/+9Exactly, I'm out of state for the week precisely because I didnt fancy putting up with a week of not being able to get to and from work without endless ***** and other more unforseeable ***** going on, Tourism is one thing, having 100,000 people take over your city and bring all normal activities to a standstill just to make room for their little shindig, well its not my thing.
- culbeda, on 08/29/2008, -0/+5But remember, drinking at altitude = faster / cheaper buzz
Sounds like a better party to me. - pardonmedoug, on 08/29/2008, -4/+8Good. Maybe in 2012 all the bigwigs and celebrities will stay at home and let the PEOPLE be the voice and face of the Democratic party.
- Jethris, on 08/29/2008, -0/+4Those are the words of the people of Denver. I'm just glad I live/work in the DTC.
Seriously, locals have been avoiding downtown. The only ones the delegates have been partying with have been themselves. - UserNull, on 08/29/2008, -2/+6No I agree. I want the Light Rail back, I want Spear back, I want 16th and LODO cleared of ***** too. This hasn't really been that fun of a time.
- publiclurker, on 08/29/2008, -1/+5Unlike your printed flatulence, Alihaq makes sense.
- Aeaus, on 08/29/2008, -3/+6I'm with the thread starter.
- WestonP, on 08/29/2008, -1/+4That's because most of us Coloradoans intentionally stayed the hell away from the ***** that the DNC was causing downtown. I'm sure that the RNC will have enough drunk idiots of their own and wont need to rely on the locals.
- cybrguy, on 08/29/2008, -0/+3"Some high-powered lobbyists who were circulating at their own parties, where few members of Senator Barack Obama’s staff were in attendance, blamed the Obama campaign’s anti-corporate, anti-lobbyist attitude for the tame night life at the convention."
Sounds like a sign of less corruption to me. The lobbyists may help people have a good time, but they also suck out your political soul. Quite the difficult trade off for some apparently. - haleym, on 08/29/2008, -6/+9Are you kidding me? What a crappy, baseless piece of spin-fluff. As a native Denverite, I can assure you all the parties, protests, and every other display of passion for this candidate have been full-force, balls-to-the-wall and all you can handle this past week. F*ck this author for suggesting otherwise and for slandering both my party and my hometown. Buried as deep into the ground as possible.
- JekJob, on 08/28/2008, -7/+10I don't think the population of Denver appreciates you putting words in their mouths.
- pman201, on 08/29/2008, -0/+2go to boulder for the partys
- kidathinnes, on 08/29/2008, -1/+3Maybe Obama needs to go on an aircraft carrier and announce his candidacy with a huge banner in the background.
- r0t8, on 08/29/2008, -0/+2There's some great clubs and parties in Denver. Beta Lounge, The Church, Vinyl, Shelter, etc. That author sounds uber lame. If Denver's altitude bothers you, you must be seriously out of shape. "Altitude-induced dehydration" ...uhh, never heard that one before.
- publiclurker, on 08/29/2008, -1/+3Hot ass is always better than hot elephant.
- Jethris, on 08/29/2008, -0/+2Tourism doesn't shut down a major freeway during rush hour for 6 hours.
Tourism doesn't close streets.
Tourism doesn't talk for months about police prescence, or protestors, or inconvience.
Tourism is great. Security sucks. - liuite, on 08/29/2008, -0/+2I'd say it was a placebo effect of the talk of Mile High City, or that they have a sedentary lifestyle. i am from the Midwest and the only time thin air affected me was when i skied at 10,000 feet. Maybe some of them have never flown on a plane before.
- XenophobicAlien, on 08/29/2008, -0/+2Good don't have fun and don't come back.. We like it better that way ;)
- crackamacka, on 08/29/2008, -1/+3Yes, yes...repeat after me, "Denver sucks!" Now excuse me while I go climb the mountain in my backyard.
- mrswirl, on 08/29/2008, -1/+3Colorado is terrible...snows all the time here and it's cold as hell. It would be best if the rest of you just stay away and not come here.
- quaxon, on 08/29/2008, -4/+5If John Elway heard you say that head punt you in the face.
- reddikilowatt, on 08/30/2008, -0/+1Maybe the boomers are getting too old to party. Since most politicians are aging boomers and older, maybe she was out past their bedtime.
And since she was trolling the parties all night, she missed the real action - at the breakfast buffet! - reddikilowatt, on 08/30/2008, -0/+1Agreed. Stay away from Colorado!
- thewump, on 08/29/2008, -3/+4To be honest, I've just gotten back from the center of town and there was some awasome DNC pussy walking around.
- inactive, on 08/29/2008, -1/+2It is called freedom to care less.
- alihaq717, on 08/29/2008, -2/+3You
don't
make
sense? - pardonmedoug, on 08/29/2008, -2/+3I think all cities would like more tourism (though they can be annoying if disrespectful, they're great for the local economy). But the OP has a point about the police presence. That's not tourism.
- EricAnderton, on 08/29/2008, -1/+2Having been to Denver myself, I can confirm this from personal experience.
However, just walking around during the day can be a real drag. I live at sea level, so the thin air really kicked my ass for the first 3 days or so. - Doghound, on 09/03/2008, -0/+1No... go to Boulder for the house parties. Go to Denver for the bars and clubs.
- xman8, on 08/29/2008, -2/+3So it's official Dems are boring!
- kidathinnes, on 08/29/2008, -2/+2It's called the reply button. Use it *****. We don't need to see your mindless dribble.
- inactive, on 08/29/2008, -5/+5ahahaha
The master of bias
who worships the biased garbage spewed and posted daily by huff raw and think
speaks?
CryHypocritecry - kidathinnes, on 08/29/2008, -2/+2Yes I still agree, but you need to learn how to use Digg if your going to make attacks on political parties. You don't come off with a lot of creditability when you can't use a simple message board correctly.
- publiclurker, on 08/29/2008, -1/+1Someone looking for a new trollop?
- inactive, on 08/29/2008, -2/+2It is called freedom of speech.
- inactive, on 08/29/2008, -2/+2It is called freedom of action.
- inactive, on 08/28/2008, -3/+3Why are you so hard on the Ron Paul folks?
- kidathinnes, on 08/29/2008, -2/+2yes and it is still called the reply button and you still dont know how to use it *****.
- r0t8, on 08/29/2008, -2/+1For an entertainment writer, she sure is out of the loop. Who the f*ck goes to a club called "red hot affair"? A slut maybe.
- edebolt, on 08/29/2008, -3/+2wow Dan Abrams in a muscle tee dancing the night away. Now I am feeling some serious man lust and I am not even gay. Where is the lotion when you need it?
- systemghost, on 08/29/2008, -2/+1I feel like I live on the moon. Sorry us country folks aint got the razzle or dazzle you bigcity boys and girls from NEW YARK CERTY ooze from your carpetbags.
Maybe nobody went to those parties because of their ridiculously stupid names? - granolajoe, on 08/28/2008, -16/+15If these idiots aren't having a good time partying in Denver, that's their own fault. We always have a great time in this town, but honestly, we're all sick of everyone being here for the DNC. Maybe they should take a hint and head home early. We're not here to entertain you, and we don't appreciate being restricted as to where we can walk, bike or drive around because you chose to come to our city and bring your pretentious, lame-ass parties to our backyard.
- yakski, on 08/29/2008, -2/+1You could care less because you are just another self-centered Bush mouthpiece that thinks the world revolves around your uneducated, unintelligent, immoral, unchristian, mindless babble!!!!
- inactive, on 08/29/2008, -2/+1Duchebag = Pussy = Democrat. we have been through this before.
- inactive, on 08/29/2008, -2/+1Well I think Denver is high enough for Obama.
