- Berkana, on 12/09/2007, -14/+61I mentioned this elsewhere, but it bears repeating:
In case anyone forgets, the vice president takes over when the president is taken out of office by death or impeachment. If we impeach Bush without impeaching Cheney first, Cheney gets to be president and commander-in-chief until he gets impeached, and that could be a while, weeks if not months, I think. Folks, a lot of damage could be done in that time!
Just imagine Cheney as commander-in-chief of our military. 'Nuff said. - mrjit, on 12/09/2007, -8/+45Kudos to Raul for doing the right thing.
- drakethegreat, on 12/09/2007, -3/+37Yes because its illegal to be Mexican and get a job in this country if you are a legal resident... It also means that you must support adopting Spanish. Its not as if a congressman has to know English to attend...
- cl0r0x70, on 12/09/2007, -3/+26And, just like in the many other places you've posted: that's why it says "impeach Cheney" and not "impeach Bush." Tool.
- jeffchuck, on 12/09/2007, -1/+19"Raúl was born in Tucson, Arizona, and graduated from Sunnyside Magnet High School in 1967."

- inactive, on 12/09/2007, -2/+15Cheney is a traitor to America and to the whole world. He should be behind bars.
- crapmatic, on 12/09/2007, -6/+19I would not be surprised if I picked up the paper tomorrow and saw: "Mystery virus surfaces in DC; 23 Congressmen in critical condition".
- CraigJ, on 12/09/2007, -5/+18While I'm all for stopping Illegal immigration, just because someone is Hispanic does not mean they are a Mexican. You are the type of person that give the rest of us a bad name. STFU and go away.
- goffy59, on 12/09/2007, -6/+19Blocked for being a big ***** idiot. People like you give America a bad name you ***** racist.
- fuzzynyanko, on 12/09/2007, -1/+13All Dems Co-Sponsoring.
- moxley, on 12/09/2007, -2/+13I think you're right, but the words you chose aren't the best. First off, the demo and republicans are two sides of the same corrupt coin; with that said, each party has a few admirable people who don't seem to be corrupt (like Ron Paul and Kucinich). When you say "democrats" that could mean all democrats - where what you seem to be referring to are the scumbags in the DNC. If a candidate is suppported by the DNC (whether it's Hillary or Obama) they are compromised, same thing with the RNC/GOP.
- moxley, on 12/09/2007, -0/+11if you want to see a list of Cheney's crimes, read the articles of impeachment against him.
- Cyberen, on 12/09/2007, -3/+12Great to see more congressmen with balls. Hell, you don't need that much balls to prosecute an obvious criminal.
- tucsonwc, on 12/09/2007, -1/+10Except the Democrats do not have a supermajority in congress. which means they can't OVERRIDE your man bush.
And the Democrats don't vote in lockstep like the republicans do.
Meanwhile the dollar is in freefall, we are a debtor nation to china, we are despised around the world and have no basic national healthcare. BTW, Europeans get FOUR WEEKS vacation to our 2. But hey, at least the Republicans passed tax cuts for the richest people in the US who own 90% of everything, AND they made it harder for citizens to go into bankruptcy over credit card debt. And now everyone is being spied on by the NSA. Heck of a job Bushie! - CraigJ, on 12/09/2007, -0/+9how about bury and block?
- sasathi, on 12/09/2007, -2/+10why aren't any republicans sponsoring this? especially Ron Paul?
- GhostyBoy, on 12/09/2007, -0/+8Are you new?
You want a reach-around, too? - thebellmaster1x, on 12/09/2007, -0/+8We're aware of how impeachment works.
- mrjit, on 12/09/2007, -2/+10If our country consisted of less idiots like you, he'd have been impeached a long time ago.
- mwolfzorn, on 12/09/2007, -0/+7Right, and an impeachment would lead to the trial... You can't be convicted of a crime without a trial.
- fuzzynyanko, on 12/09/2007, -3/+10I agree. It seems like they would have to catch Cheney in a sex scandal for that to happen.
- headt0thebunker, on 12/10/2007, -2/+9Articles of impeachment have been started against presidents for a lot less than what this one is guilty of.....My guess is sooner or later.....somebody is going to be the "deep throat" and start telling where the bodies are buried....There is absolutely now way you can pull as much criminal crap as this administration is without eventually ....accidentally involving someone with a soul......when that happens.....when tapes and videos and names dates times and places start showing up.....this house of lies will fall.....Right now I think there are a lot of really scrared people out there with no one to talk to.....sooner or later some one like Keith Olberman will give them the courage to start talking about what happens behind close doors....
Its just a matter of time.......And this stupid ass Democrats better think about how they are going to look when the its the Republicans that start impeachment to try to save their only shot at getting re-ected.....One thing for certain....this is no honor or loyality in washington....these animals will eat their own just to stay in power and will throw their own mother under the bus if they think it will save their own asses - ccheath, on 12/09/2007, -0/+7high crimes and misdemeanors (just one):
cheney lied about misleading (or lying) to the public in regards to a link between iraq and al-queda
the daily show reported on it the best
the evidence:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5234351185 ... - Speed, on 12/09/2007, -2/+9He already is. Do you really think Bush is running the show?
- BelXul, on 12/09/2007, -1/+7"Name one crime that Cheney committed..."
Aside from the ones listed in the articles, such as LYING TO CONGRESS to get the US into war with Iraq, I have always stood by Attempted Murder. Remember when he had that "Hunting accident"? His story does not match the ballistics, i.e. the spread of birdshot was too narrow to be at the distance that Cheney stated, but rather it was somewhere around less than 10 yards, and the fact that it pierced the poor fellow's heart. Also, in order to have such an 'accident', Cheney would have to break all hunting protocols called 'common sense' to turn all the way around to shoot the guy behind him while following a bird flying through the air. Add to that he claimed he had a beer, and if it were ANYBODY else, that person would be in jail now. If you can defend that, then you may as well allow any criminal to do what they want in your neighborhood, because after all, name one crime that anyone could possibly commit. - ccheath, on 12/09/2007, -0/+6dick cheney lied... about national security... and here's the proof
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5234351185 ... - phnx0221, on 12/09/2007, -2/+8Awesome! Looks like I'm going to have to call him and thank him. I'm going to call Flake too, and tell him, "Grijalva is supporting this, I think you should too." There might be a good chance of that too, since he was one of the six people to vote against HR1955.
- hwood, on 12/09/2007, -7/+12Democrats don't really want Cheney or Bush removed from office. They're using impeachment as a tool to make the republican party look bad.
I really wish people would wake up to the fact that democrats and republicans care more for their respective parties than they care about the country. - spectre_25gt, on 12/09/2007, -1/+6Agreed. Besides that, the really important thing here is the precedent this will set. We will not allow the constitution to be violated without consequence.
- peaceofpie, on 12/09/2007, -0/+5I don't belong to any party because I believe it prevents a person from making decisions based on the issues. I think your statement is very true and I hope that all the admirable people go out to vote for Kucinich. I will not vote in November of 2008 for any candidate that voted for this war, or for funding this war. I will not vote for any candidate that does not support universal not-for-profit health care because it is the only plan that will ever end this health care game of torture we put people through every day in this country. Basically that means in November of 2008 no matter what I will be voting for Dennis Kucinich. What I am saying here is that no matter what Iowa, or New Hampshire, or any of the states decide, I am voting for the best, the brightest the bravest candidate, Kucinich. If his name is not on that ballot, I will simply put him on myself. I suggest everyone write in Kucinich.
- CraigJ, on 12/10/2007, -1/+6A Mexican, as in a citizen of Mexico, implied to be here illegally by the OP. By your logic, I'm an Englishman.
- thebellmaster1x, on 12/09/2007, -0/+5Haha, that's not how it works, bucko.
- inactive, on 12/09/2007, -2/+6Terrorists aren't a threat to the American way of life. An imperial executive IS a threat to the American way of life. Simple.
- Seeker135, on 12/10/2007, -2/+6We're pretty sure the congressman is an American citizen. But we are POSITIVE that YOU are a TOOL. lol
- nygrissplz, on 12/10/2007, -2/+6Wow, way to make yourself look like an ignorant douche bag.
Like white people are any better than any other race. (And I'm white)
Get over yourself, *****. - thatcrazycommie, on 12/10/2007, -1/+5Dude, did you not even read the headline? The resolution is to impeach Cheney, not Bush.
- Dukeye, on 12/09/2007, -0/+4What, I guess you think O.J. was innocent too?
Look, most Democrats are not only useless do-nothings, they're criminals - just like most Republicans.
Anyway, here's your evidence. Now, I want you to refute all every charge with real evidence, not some ignorant drivel in italics and caps. Enjoy.
http://www.afterdowningstreet.org/constitutionincr ... - milliamp, on 12/10/2007, -0/+3They are a tax burden and I already pay ~%36 of my income in taxes. If you want the illegals flooding into this country to have free insurance, welfare, 3 meals while in jail etc. then you can move into the projects and donate the remainder of your income to help them and lessen the burden on the rest of the tax payers.
They are complaining because they want health care, representation, the right to vote etc., but I don't see them out there picketing to get tax ID's so they can pay taxes on their income and contribute instead of working under the table and milking the rest of the tax paying population.
An no, taking minimum wage jobs away from high school kids and senior citizens by working under the table is not what I had in mind for "contribute".
Yeah, mod me down. ***** You. - mrjit, on 12/09/2007, -4/+7Explain your support of Bush, sheepman.
- laofmoonster, on 12/09/2007, -1/+4Now all we need is for some Republicans to co-sponsor it. Like that'll ever happen.
- Lane, on 12/10/2007, -1/+4see your comment being buried? Consider every negative a yes and don't forget to add two for the +1 and 0 taken away as well.
- inactive, on 12/10/2007, -0/+3YOU WANT TO SEE CONGRESSMENS BALLS? Go to a public restroom, tap your foot.
- mahdaeng, on 12/10/2007, -0/+3En serio?
- thebellmaster1x, on 12/09/2007, -1/+4Why would we replace our Independence Day with Cinco de Mayo? They're not even close to connected.
- MaximusPryme, on 12/10/2007, -1/+4If Ron Paul were to sign this, he would probably face a huge backlash from the Republican party. It would be political suicide for him, and you have to pick your battles wisely, or Paul could just be a huge poser (but I doubt that).
- Seeker135, on 12/10/2007, -0/+2Jesus. You gotta work awful hard to be that dense. Do you work around caustic fumes for a living, or were you dropped early and often as a child? Grow up and realize that Malignant Dick Cheney is one of the most dangerous men ever to have attained elected office, much less the vice/presidency.
- doomcomplex, on 12/09/2007, -2/+4Aww, I always less-than-three'd Grijalva. Good job, man! I miss Tucson...
(Just kidding about the Tucson part. That place is a craphole.) - inactive, on 12/10/2007, -2/+4There's actually a useful congressman in my state. Sweet! :D
- sonofarex, on 12/10/2007, -0/+2get a brain morans!
